| This anime was made to promote a lightgun tag toy by SEGA (yes, the same of the arcade games). The idea was that you would shoot with the lightgun and try to hit the light sensor on the adversary's body. I don't think it was a great success as a toy, but it spawned some other products, like the SEGA Master System videogame console (its lightgun was exactly like Zillion's gun), some games and, of course, this anime.
The story was simple, I am the first to admit it. Invaders from another world (Nohza) arrive and start killing people. A special team (White Nuts - not "white knights" as some people think) is created to fight back the invaders. What is so wonderful about this anime is how the story is told. It's something you don't see often nowadays...

| The funny thing about this anime was that when I was a kid, I used to play that game for the Sega Master System. Fun game though, but too bad for the typical attempt of making itself into an anime. The bad character development of having the main character wanting to "stay" as part of the white knight was hardly an idea for a storyline. Maybe if they didn’t had more focus on those Noza all the time, then I would’ve given the story some credit. Really plain and useless, even for a kids anime.
