I don't remember giving any other manga or anime all 10 in every aspect, but this manga deserves it! Far better than anime and far better than any manga you did or will come across. Believe me. This piece of art was life-breaking for many people as many people actually started teaching after reading GTO or watching anime. I must add one warning for potential readers: Do NOT read scanlations of this. I read all the volumes scanlated first but the level of translation is so low that I bought all the books afterwards and did not regret it. It's a complete different reading.

One of the best mangas ever. GTO is excels over almost any manga in character development. All the characters get the time that they need for you to know them. And the manga is also done very well as it goes between comedy and drama, it is hilarious while also bringing up very good stories. The art is good, there is far better out there, but it does suit the manga. For those who have seen the anime the manga is about twice as long and it is much better.

Great Teacher Onizuka is just about the most enjoyable ANYTHING I've ever encountered. Great stories, lovable characters, hilarious moments, moving and touching interactions, there's nothing that this manga does not have (except maybe some deep emotional romance/relationship stuff).

There is without a doubt that the manga is superior to the anime. Not only are the characters prettier, but the story actually brings in crazy baddies forcing Onizuka to do really psycho stuff.

I do not have any complaints with this manga. Perhaps some of Onizuka's behavior got pretty predictable (building jumping, etc.) but each time he pulled it off it was still pretty hilarious/touching/impressive all at the same time. If I would recommend a single fun manga to anyone, this would be it.

I havent watched the anime version but regardless of that this comic is one of the most hilarious I've ever read. I liked it because it doesnt stick just to comedy. There are also some serious moments that make GTO more addiciting. The manga deals with some aspects of school life pretty well.

The manga takes elements of the prequel Shounan Jun'ai Gumi and Bad Company and enhances them. Fortunately the reader isnt required to read the prequel mangas to grasp the plot in GTO. Though it could help, especially in the last volume or to understand the animosity between Saejima and Ryuuji. Shounan takes up to 31 volumes and I could read only the first 5 . Though it was translated in French. Bad Company is only one volume but is more serious.

I read the first half of the manga, than watched the whole anime, than finished this manga. And at the end of it, this manga has to be one of the most enjoyable ride I've ever had reading manga. This manga is hillarious and vulgar, while having to say much about teenage culture and its conflict with adult culture. Essentially this anime is a hillarious yet sincere attempt at demonization of youth culture of today in its roots and its solutions. Underneath its comedy lies a very encouraging and strengthening message of courage and hope.

Let's make one thing clear; this anime is anything but realistic. Let's take Onizuka for example. He has got to be based on cell of wolverine or else he should be dead by the end of first volume. But the unrealistic part of this whole manga is the comedy, and of course its overblown drama. But I've have to say both of them are quite well done.

This animeis esstially based on characters. This whole manga is a seris of events based on interactions between certain characters. There is no real storyline that sets this anime in one constant and consistent flow.

those events are many times hillarious, and dramatic. It is sometimes hard to imagine the things the kid in this manga had to go through, but i'm certain there are people living today who have been through worse. It also is magical to see how Onizuka is able to influence them with "German Suplex" to give them hope. Of course this whole manga is an idealized masterpiece. Real world might not be that simple. But this manga still contains a content that gives strength to those who read.

This manga probably have one of the most impressive, memorable and gigantic cast I've seen in any manga. Good thing this manga is long enough to develop practically all of them to cover every aspect of the issues that this manga brings up. I think I'll be remembering Onizuka for a very long time as well as the class 3- 4.

Let's talk about design. Pople might not like it because the designs sometimes are just downright crude. I thought it was funny. It had humor and exaggeration that really fits the mood.

As I watch animes and read more mangas I'm sure i'll be coming back to this manga to compare. this definetely is one of my favorite and is worth every line I read. I'm sure i'll be reading this manga over again sometime. Please give Tokyo Pop support for publishing this manga by buying them. they did wonderful job of translating/editing it.
