| This is a very strange anime and may not go well with normal people. The problem with this anime is that it has a very specific audience, aiming directly to kids and those who like cute loli girls. The story itself is very easy to understand and very very slow. There is nothing here to hold attention of other people as its a very tame anime.
Animation is very very nice, looks very beautiful with vivid backgrounds. The same cannot be said with the sound though. Its abit on the slow side.
Story is only meant to bring out the character's cuteness. That's the only point of the anime is to bring out the cuteness of binchoutan. Characters in this anime has very big heads, more like to say that the characers are children.
There is little value in this since it does not appeal to the masses and its really something just to slow and does not connect.

| Bincho-tan is a strange one really, the main selling point of this anime is the cute factor, with characters such as Bincho-tan making the airwaves in Japan throughout history, its not really a strong selling point now.
However, Bincho-tan is NOT a bad anime really, its really light-hearted and though the cute factor gets tiresome after a while, the show is really about everyday life things of sorts.. which may make this anime seem as though its nothing more than a boring show about nothing.
This is not the case though, despite the atrocious first episode, from 2nd episode onwards, it starts to introduce the far superior side-characters like Ren, Chiku and Aloe who are the real stars of the show . In some respects, this show should be called Chiku-tan because she is funny, cute and everything Bincho-tan should be but isn't!.
You know theres a problem when the first episodes show how inconsistent the size of Bincho-tan really is, one point she is as small as a bottle, the next, she is as big as a door. Eventually, Bincho-tan had more consistency as the show went on but this is still a bad point.
Overall, Bincho-tan is nothing more than a light-hearted look at the daily life of Bincho-tan (which is a bit repetitive) and really aside from the first episode, everything else is watchable to a degree when Chikutan comes along.

| This is just something relaxing to watch. There are no hidden meanings or complex plots, no heartwrenching relationships or mysterious characters.
However, 'Bincho-tan' does well to avoid a direct plot altogether. It has a gorgeous musical score that combines traditional classical-film orchestration and some Japanese-styled pieces. The music runs almost constantly and complements the visuals wonderfully.
The entire thing runs something like "Fantasia," excepting a few instances of voice. The focus is on the richness of everyday phenomena. No expense is spared in drawing the club-moss and the butterflies and the fire.
The only complaint comes in the somewhat out-of-place stylistic choices for Bincho-tan herself. Given the level of detail being spent everywhere, it would have been nice to have Bincho-tan have a smoother appearance that would have fell better in place with the rest of the surroundings. This is not to say that she isn't cute, but that I found her relatively flat coloring to be inappropriate for the Nature-focus of this piece.
Will update when more episodes come out. I know this is based on a mascot of a bishoujo game maker, but I still find it surprising that it's really paired with REC, which is a good deal more ... mature ... .
There is absolutely nothing objectionable here - no lolicon fanservice (thank goodness - that'd by majorly awkward here), no violence, not even any rude speech. Childrens' anime these days would do well to adapt some of the strengths of this series ... .
