| One thing is clear: If you don't like cutesy-wutesy anime, this is definately not for you.
However, even as I say that, I found myself being inevitabely drawn in to Animal Yokocho-mostly because of Isa, Iyo and Kenta (the animal toys that talk to Ami). Yeah, their jokes might be a bit silly, but somehow I found it really really interesting.
I suppose the most attractive thing about this anime is how the toys have such unexpected reactions and unique personalities..
The OP was really really cute, and it was addictive too, especially with all those cute graphics whooshing by..who can resist?
Overall: This a light-hearted anime, probably made for kids. I watch it when I've finished watching a really sad anime (like ai no kusabi) and it cheers me up till no end :)

| If you dislike Doraemon, then skip this anime, this anime is for childrens, two stories per chapter.
There are a lot of stupid and lame jokes but works (even for adults like me) and the characters are some mix of annoying-cute-funny.
Anyways, it can be funny even for adults, the story is not too-girly or pretentious, there was not a "magic-wand", "transformation","love triangle" (at least the first episodes) or such, only a girl, their parents and a bunch of yokocho for complicate their life :-)
