| To Heart 2 is a revisiting of the school where the original To Heart took place. There is a new cast and character set to explore. This is a harem type series but there's very little serious matter here.
This is a very slow-paced slice of life with calming BGMs, a good series to fall asleep to. Don't expect any action, or even much comedy from this series.
My overall feelings are somewhat mixed. Though there were 1-2 really good episodes, the other 10 or so were really flat. Therefore, if you want to sift through stones for some gold, this series will work. Otherwise, try some other harem.

| Ahh..To Heart. The To Heart series is also what I know as *quote* "no-plot, no-harem, just heart-warming story". I don't know why, but this genre really appeals to me, especially when I'm in the mood for a break. (I watched To Heart 2 after Gantz and Evangelion, turned me back to relatively normal)
Although I must agree with others that this was a disappointment compared to the expected To Heart *specialness*, I cannot say that I didn't enjoy it at least a tiny bit. I had no intention of dropping this series, and my record is clean.

| A 2005 title which pretty much got lost in the shadow of so many other H-Game turned animes of that year, To Heart really seemed to be a contrived series which sought to almost clone the spirit of the original To Heart, only with different characters. Not to say that this isnt a horrible approach to use; To Heart is really one of those series which successfully pulls off a bit of drama and excitement in what is mostly a slow-paced slice-of-life type schoolkids show, and TH2 does do this reasonably well. However, there is absolutely nothing ground breaking, and story is near nonexistant (I seriously doubt there will be a To Heart 2.5, put it that way >P) However, the art is decent, the soundtrack delivers proper mood, and the characters do have distinct, albeit horribly unoriginal personalities. I am a huge fan of this genre so it gave me high enjoyment; however, for its release year, there were much more substantial titles of this genre (Shuffle!, Canvas 2, and im sure im missing a ton more)

| Knowing the creators' intention of trying to create a plot similar to "To Heart", the original serie's profound storyline, I expected at least some creativity from the Anime. However, my expectation was totally blown off. First of all, the anime would be much better off if it had followed as a continuation of the original, but it is not. It is a completely different story with different characters that are extremely underdeveloped. I could not believe this was based on an H game. I feel it's more like a feminist plot in which the "rookie" guy is being taken advantage by his fellow female students. I am sure this was not the author's intention, but the story only follows logically if you interpret it that way. I have expected the same heartwrenching moments as in the original, but in TH2, your reaction would be "Is that suppose to be Sad or???" The Characters and what they do are so far apart from reality, or more accurately, the characters behaves irrationally (and who's fault is that?). This is a typical sign of a bad Anime. So, my impression of this Anime is like shattered glasses everywhere --- totally disorganized. I don't recommend it.

| To Heart in general has just gone downhill ever since the first animation in 1999. This was a semi-serious attempt to get back to the no-plot, no-harem, just heart-warming story, but alas it failed.
Animation, as expected from OL&M is half-decent, and they wanted the colors to be somewhat vivid, although the cinema style from the 1st series would have worked better. 7/10
Sound: I'm ashamed to say that the game's soundtrack which I got a chance to listen to...has better sound than this show. The game's OST OP is better, as well as all the BGMs. 4/10. Hello is the only thing that earns this 4.
Story: Good effort? Karin is an extraneous character that really doesn't need to be there, and I'm sure they could have had other supporting characters to tie them all in (then again, blame the game designers/developers for putting her in in the first place). 5/10 for effort in spanning the entire first two-thirds of the story in what, 3 weeks of April?
Characters: They are all distasteful to me, especially Ruri and Sango. Poorly thought out characters, and poorly thought out roles. 3/10.
Value: 1/10 This definitely isn't a keeper.
Enjoyment: Their stories are so dry but executed badly (which is the difference from the original), I don't know how anyone could find this entertaining. 3/10.

After finishing all 13+1 episodes (1 review episode), I don't know whether I want to throw up or cut myself. The story doesn't have a real conclusion, and they throw in plotlines at the very end that don't get used much (maybe 5 seconds?). Good work on destroying a nice brand name with two bad seasons back-to-back.

| Well lets just say that To Heart 2 isn't exactly my cup of tea, and that I'll be dropping this series. Probably because I'm watching Shuffle! and Canvas 2 as well, adding To Heart 2 seems like an H-turned anime overload. Because I won't be continueing it though, I thought it would be fair to explain why.
Animation- The animation isn't spectacular for a 2005 anime, the colors were very dull and the fluidity was a bit rushed sometimes.
+ Adorable character designs, although some of them are a bit 'messy'.
+ The fluidity is good, just not for a 2005 anime.
+ Cute, solid art.
- Dull coloring which makes the whole scene pretty boring to look at.
- Boring visuals.
- Stale scenes.
- Very undetailed and cliche (so much fricking cherry blossoms!) backgrounds.
-This anime relies on fluttering hair.
Sound- The sound is a very low point of this anime. Especcially the voice acting.
+ Nice peaceful opening theme, reminds me of the opening to the original To Heart.
- Some of the most annoying voice actors ever.
- The main character has one of those annoying high pitched voices.
- Not many sound effects which makes things a bit dull.
- Annoying BGM when there actually is some.
Story-
+ Errr... okay, no high points of the story.
- So fricking cliche.
- The story is almost non existent at the moment. The first episode featured the main character constantly whining and crying to some older kid she likes. That's all.
- Gives you the impression that this is another boring To Heart. And well, it is.
Characters- I watched this because of the cute character designs, but that's about the only good thing of this anime.
+ Cute designs as stated in the animation.
- Cliched personalities.
- Annoying as heck characters.
Okay, please take note that there are more cons than pros. To Heart 2 will not be for everyone. Sadly, I usually enjoy these type of cute romance school life series, but To Heart 2 shows 0 potential. The story has no originality, the characters are annoying and the voices grate on my ears. I won't be continuing this. Please take note that I watch my anime raw and I've seen three (YES THREE) episodes.
