| The second Pokemon movie is indisputibly better than the first one in terms of graphics and animation, maybe character as well since the Slowking knows how to talk, but the storyline is still weak. This "Lugia Movie" focuses too strongly on prophecies like Lugia emerging when the Legendary Birds are captured...something about the earth turning to Ash...blah.
This is not a bad aspect of anime. Prophecies can be cool - but ONLY if they are not blatantly obvious to decipher. The earth turning to Ash thing is immediately distinguishable as a call to the main character, taking away all the fun and mystery of the prophecy as soon as it is introduced.
Animation = it has gotten better from the first movie, since colors are used to create brighter and more lively scenes and at least the movement of the gliding Pokemon don't look too mechanical or shabby.
Story = a better-explained story than the first movie, with all the chaos caused because of a crazy Pokemon-collector. Because it has more eplanation to it, it is also less confusing to watch, but the storyline itself is not very entertaining and the excitement factor is extinguished by predictability.
Character = same, same, same as always...except this time there's the crazy Pokemon-collector and a talking Slowking, some scenes of rare Pokemon...yeah. Lugia also communicates with them, good grief! The character design has definitely not improved but the graphics just make them look a little less short and pudgy.
Story2 = well, as usual, if it's Pokemon then Ash gets undue attention from the entire Pokemon world and triumphs over the bad guys no matter how underpowered he is. I found the ending to be weak, but of course I was not surprised.
Value = if you found the first movie enjoyable, be prepared for something better (I guess). This should not disappoint a Pokemon fan.

| this anime movie is the 2nd Pokemon movie! (who would of guessed!)
it's all about Laurence 3 who collects pokemon. he captures zaptos, articuno, and moltres in hope of capturing lugia.
legend has it that if the balance between the birds is disturbed, lugia will save the world (another prophecy, yay) and the world will turn to Ash.
I really enjoyed this, considering im no longer a Pokemon fan. They don't point out the obvious as much as the tv show (and that can only be an improvement). There's alot more romance in this than the 1st (there isn't any in the 1st film at all) so that's funny.
The plot is unique, but is still pretty lame. A prophecy, and it just So happens that Ash is the middle of it all!!
Team Rocket are nice for once... that's a new one. but they go evil again like nothing happened after that.
Melody is my favorite character in it, she's so pretty :3 but she acts human, and the way she talks to Misty is funny.
The animation is good considering it's made in 2000. i like the way the colours blend in with eatchother.
Sound.... the song that Melody plays on the wacky flute seashell is sooooo cool, it's mystical really. The music though, is a better version of the tv show (which is lame).
There's a fair bit of character development in this film (about time too!)
This doesn't have as much value as it seems though. The kiddies (like i use to be) will enjoy it. And the film isn't as boring as it may seem.

| Pokemon movies begin to loose their touch after this one. It's about the legendary Pokemon Lugia and the legendary birds. The scenery and atmosphere in this movie is really great. Snow, lakes, fire, natural disaster. It's fairly mysterious and there's a sense of a big scale. It's got its fair share of comedy and drama for the Pokemon fans, and is good fun to watch. There are some funny lines that my Mum laughed at (I first saw this when I was 8 when it came out at the cinema). I won't spoil them, but you'll know when they crop up.

| This is the movie of Pokemon that is about 'Lugia'. Better than the Mewto movie, no doubt. Animation seemed to have gotten better than in the Mewto Movie, it's alot more clear. The sound still isn't good, it's mediocre. Story isn't that good. The movie is still pretty funny, I mean, it's one of the first Pokemon movies and the first season and the first movies were all funny. It's pretty enjoyable, if you like Pokemon that is. If you hate it, then you won't want to watch this. It's pretty much the same as the TV show.
