Hm... a really simple and straightforward action anime made in the 1990s. Not much in terms of originality - basically we have this boy who has been living a normal life then all of a sudden monsters come in and attack. We find out that this boy is actually not of Earth and that he is the hero who is supposed to lead the battle against that planet's enemies. As things progress, things get annoying as the main character progresses back and forth between not-accepting his role and saving the day unwillingly. By the end, you wonder if it'll be over and done with with the lack of any consistency throughout. The only constant in this anime are the characters, and with such an uninteresting set as a whole - there is plenty out there that are superior to this.

Overall, the entertainment value of this anime is nearly nil. Unless you are a sucker for these old-school action battle animes - there are plenty of other animes out there that follow this formulaic storyline, with a much more interesting cast of characters and nicer graphics. If it wasn't for the interesting 3 beasts with interesting personalities helping Touya out, there would have been nearly nothing to look for in this series. Please stay away from this one.
