| The third instalment of already long running Initial D's series now in a movie format. If you've already seen the previous shows of Initial D, then there is nothing new for me to tell you and if you have not seen them yet, then go do it now, you shouldn't start somewhere from the middle.

| An ending for the 2nd stage with just a mere 4 episodes. I actually liked it, and since I'm a girl, I was glad that Takumi and Mogi were able to have closure and straighten things from the past. In addition, Takumi now wants to drive professionally and be the best racer, he has found his passion.
The music is ever still my favorites to listen to. I think Initial D has one of the best soundtracks ever!

| Nach den exzellenten 2 Vorgängern war ich natürlich verdammt heiss auf diesen Movie und konnte es nicht abwarten bis wieder die Reifen quietschen und die Autos über die Straßen jagen. Am Ende musste ich jedoch feststellen das mich 3rd Stage nicht unbedingt so mitreißen konnte wie Stage 1 und 2. Zwar ist der Film durchaus unterhaltsam aber ein wenig mehr Action hätte hier sicher nicht geschadet. Insgesamt nur 3 Races, von denen 2 viel zu kurz geraten sind, bekommt man hier geboten und auch wenn es nach wie vor großen Spaß gemacht hat dabei zuzuschauen blieb am Ende die leicht ernüchternde Erkenntnis das sich der Adrenalinerush, den ich bei so gut wie jedem anderen Rennen im bisherigen Verlauf von Inital D verspürte, dieses mal doch arg in Grenzen hielt. Hinzu kommt das sich fast die komplette 2. Hälfte des Films um den Romance-Aspekt dreht und dieser nun mal nicht das ist was ich als Liebhaber dieser Serie sehen will. Ich muss zwar zugeben das mich der Ausgang der Beziehungskrise, zwischen Natsuki und Takumi, zu einem gewissen Grad doch interessiert hat aber sie ist in diesem Movie einfach viel zu penetrant ausgefallen. Wie ich bereits in meinem Review zur 1. Stage sagte: Inital D lebt von den Races und ist keine (zumindest keine gute) Romanze. 3rd Stage bietet lieder vom Einem mehr als vom Anderen und in diesem Fall ist das Eine leider der Romance-Aspekt. Trotzdem bietet dieser Movie gute Unterhaltung und jeder der, nach den ersten beiden Stages, auf dem Inital D-Trip ist kommt an 3rd Stage sowieso nicht vorbei.

| This movie falls into the normal trap that a movie made after a series is established always seems to fall into.
It is basically 4 episodes slapped together. Takumi gets revenge. Takumi has another race, Takumi and Mogi finally face each other, and Takumi saves Mogi from a a silly subplot.
It does set up, I assume, the 4th Stage in which All the best drivers will get together and strut thier stuff outside the home territory.
Overall, a dissappointment as a movie, but a good wrapup for 2nd stage.

| If you liked the second season of Initial D then this shouldnt be missed since its basically the conclusion to the story leaving along yet another sequel potential. Itsuki is annoying again but thank goodness he isnt in much of the scenes to ruin the movie. The anmation is pretty good as the battle scenes between cars is very nicely done, definite improvement over the series. Good ending to a nice series.

| Wrapping up the series with once again, tense moments in the anime. the racing was once again spectacular. like the first two stages, very enjoyable, even if you have no interest in cars...i certainly don't. a must watch if you've seen the first two. animation once again improved.

| Again, much like my Second Stage review, I don't have much to say here. It's simple: if you loved the first 2 stages, watch this, and love this. It's got excellent animation this time around, and the CG racing sequences are more beautiful then ever. The reason why I gave the story a 9 is because it doesn't have the addictive factor that the TV series' have, since it's a movie. But still, if you liked the first 2, you'll appreciate the story in this movie. It's especially interesting to find out about one of Bunta's old rivals, the guy who got his ass kicked by Takumi in the soccer club (Takumi has a flashback about it in First Stage), and the last race simply ROCKS! Easily the best race in Initial D ever. If you've liked Initial D up until this, watch this movie!

| A movie which progresses the store of a tv show? Third Stage does just that. The animation & CG budget get a significant jump as the racing looks better than ever. The Eurobeat is also significantly better in quality over the bland music provided for Second Stage. Third Stage ties up just about all the loose ends from Second Stage and potentially concludes Initial D.
There was a recent announcement from Move stating its next single will serve as the OP for the next Stage of Initial D. Nothings been confirmed so take that for what its worth.

| The animation in this movie was solid without being outstanding. Some things still looked a bit off, that is the blending of the CGI with the cell shaded drawings.
The sound was very nice, well if you like techno type of dance music. ^_^
The story was prety standard with Takumi continuing to improve on himself, while going on to finish some other business with other people.
The character development was prety well done for the movie, as it continues to develop certain aspects of particular characters from the previous 2 TV series.
Overall its a enjoyable movie with a well balance plot pacing between drama and action.

| The simple continuation of the series.
It mantains the level of the other two first and I believe the drawing got more similar to the 1st, which I enjoyed.
The car animation is the best, although. Probably they were improving their techinee along the seasons.
I just didn't like the part when the guy from the past appear. I felt a little bit deslocated with the rest of the story.

| Very nice, I enjoyed the entire Inital D story esp since I watched all in a single weekend :)
It definitely leaves place for another movie, the final battle of the best teams with Kyousuke, brother and Fujiwara on the favorites team.
(Tuna: Mogi's boyfriend I think is dad of that long-haired dude who took her and abused in his car in the movie)

| Wow, everything greatly improved. The animation is so much better and the story is terrific. It actually has meaning so watchers has to be moved by it.
Rather than focusing just on Takumi and street racing or his relationship with Mogi the movie had both well balanced. And now we get to see more of Takumi's past which is absolutely a plus.
For some odd reason it seemed like the CG improved too, but i don't know. Anyway, those who enjoyed either of the Stages will surely love this.
Initial D. Is it just me or does that sound so frickin cool for some reason?

| Didnt like the movie much, lots of stuff were still left unexplained which leaves me to believe they plan to release another inital D series or movie.
To me the movie seemed more like a group of episodes combined, there was different storylines happening and it lacked any real substance. The car chasing scenes of course are top notch.
I wouldnt watch this movie again, but it was good to have some sort of finale to the series.

| Blech. This movie focuses on the romance in Initial D. I can only assume you've watched the first two seasons if you're watching this, so the fact that it focuses on the romance should be all you need to know to have you despairing. Just in case you don't though, let us remember that the primary romance in the story consists of a girl who pimps herself out to her sugar daddy and a boy who can at best be called a little slow, who shows little interest in anything in life, much less a potential girl.
Still, it does have the obligatory races, and they're not that bad. You can't take them seriously though, since of course Takumi is going to beat this girl-kidnapping scum. And of course being able to beat him in a race will somehow win the day.
