| well what can i say, so far this is my favorite season of major... if you like the first, the you'll love this one... but to get deeper into the show i'll star with the animation... if we're talking simply character design then theres not too much to be said, at best it's average... but the animation as a whole, is terrific... when you see the physix of the fastballs, you're completely blown away, at how the made it look super great, but still kept the realism.... the sounds perfect as always, you really get the feeling you're listening to a baseball game when you're watching the show.... and this seasons characters are even better then the last.. but at the end of the day, only people who enjoyed the first season will take a liking to this one.. but still, one of the best animes i've seen.. easily top 10.. great show

| MAJOR season 2 focuses more on Goro's fastball than anything else. Character development takes a back seat as we watch goro's baseball skills improve. Unlike season 1, Goro actually manages to challenge players that are much stronger than him, but nevertheless, Goro is still superhumanly strong.
I really liked the return of Sato Toshiya. He was a good character that contrasted heavily with Goro's style of play. If it wasn't for this character, I could definitely not have enjoyed this seaso as much. I found his transformation and then rescue to be a very interesting change of events. Either way, character development as a whole is lacking (i.e., the poor excuse of romance development, family life, etc.)
The basic theme of Major season 2 (which will continue on to season 3) is that goro's style of baseball revolves around himself and his strength. He does'nt really NEED the other players. But for some reason, his love of baseball manages to trickle down to those teammates and to cause them to improve their level of play.
I guess it was enjoyable to see Goro's extremely quick fastballs striking people out, but for those who haven't seen season 1, Goro's personality may just come off as selfish and annoying.
I enjoyed watching this for the baseball games, and to see Goro level-up. The baseball family life drama isn't as strong here, but at least the school life drama improves a little bit. Again, Sato Toshiya's contrast to Honda/Shigeno Goro is basically what made this season memorable.
Recommended if you enjoyed season 1, but not necessarily recommended if you haven't seen season 1 (unless you just want to watch baseball games).

| A great show, but not as good as the first season.
Goro is now a high-school boy. The entire season is about him trying to beat Kaido School's baseball team (one of the best in the country) after being accepted into its ranks. Goro is portrayed as a skilled and amazing baseballer, but also as an arrogant muppet, which differs a lot from the Goro from the first season.
The matches are intense and very entertaining. The story is a little weird with unusual twists but it is decently developed.
Either way, its a nice continuation of the 1st season of Major, though not as good.

| Excellent continuation of the Major storyline. It is nice to see Goro back and see he still has a bit of an attitude. The story is going in a similar vein as the first season, with Goro coming upon the struggling baseball team and helping them get back on track, and learning a few new things along the way. They are older now and it seems like there might be a romance angle, but I hope they don't focus too much on that. So, far looks like it is following the same storyline as the first season, but I love underdog stories so I am sure I will enjoy it.

| I'm so proud to review this show again. MAJOR never fails to impresse me. Tears came out of my eyes in one of the scenes of the first episode. I started MAJOR season 2 right after season 1 ended. I'm so glad GORO's back and kicking. Once again, the baseball club is on the verge of falling apart. Only one person is destined to save it. Everyone in the show matured and I can't wait to see Goro shows off his new skills.
Animation: Bright and colorful, nicely drawn characters,
Sound: Nice new OP, but not as good as the last one. Maybe I haven't got used to it yet.
Story: Here's the big one. It never fails to impress me with the amount of surprises it has.
Character: GORO IS BACK!!! Shimizu's so happy. New characters are introduced and all of them have different attitude.
Value: MUST HAVE LOTS. Too early to give value to it yet.
Enjoyment: Tears came out in first episode. What do you expect? -_-

| 4 years after Major Season 1, Goro comes back to his childhood hometown and attends a new school with his childhood friends. He must overcome a past injury, and a broken down baseball club in order to partake in his love of baseball again.
We're in for another enjoyable season of Major with more baseball action, and proabably more drama. I'm thinking it's going to focus more on the baseball this season, but there should be some added romance, now that he's older.
From the first episode, I can tell this is going to continue being a great series to follow. Just like the first season, it should have just the right amount of sports acion, and story to go along with the characters. If you watched the first season and liked it, I'm pretty sure you'll like this continuation (based off op, and first episode).
