| First of all, I would like to say that I don't really think this episode should have its own reviews, it should just be included into the Hand Maid May series reviews, because it is really just an add-on of the series.
This bonus episode isn't too bad if you were a fan of the first 10 episodes, but otherwise it is just more of the same and is just a series of random events to provide the viewer with a bit of comedy.
The animation is solid but not great; character models were well done and the use of color was good throughout the series. However, there is nothing about the animation that will wow you, and the cartoony animation at times gets a bit over done.
The OP/ED song is decent but not great, the soundtrack isn't memorable, and a couple of the voices are a bit annoying (Nanbara especially).
The story for this episode is, as expected, not very complex. Nothing terribly exciting or dramatic to see here.
Characters are more of the same, though the 5-part May is new. Still a bunch of one-dimensional characters without any depth and without any conflict or romance or drama between them except some unresolved love issues.
Little value to this episode unless you liked the first 10, and even then it doesn't expand upon the series except give you a bit more of the same style of anime.
I enjoyed it a bit, but just wasn't impressed or truly entertained by this short add-on episode. Nothing new occured, and this episode could have been inserted anywhere after episode 8 or so, it didn't have to be put as a "special".

| Animation here is still as great as in the series. The girls still has great form. There's room for a little more detail for characters. Background is still bright and colorful.
Even the sound is the same. There's nothing amazing in the sound, and it has the same opening and ending theme songs. I believe there's more music in the anime this time around. They're the pleasant and unnoticable type.
The main story focuses around the baby. I was disappointed that May's condition was taken so lightly. Anyways, there's nothing special about taken care of a baby. Everything seemed to flow smoothly. There's some funny parts here and there.
There's no character development here. But the characters are still very likable. Basically, everybody is shown again. And since this is a one episode special, I'm giving it a better grade than it would normally deserve.
This special by itself is a nice continuation to the series. Nothing seriously new is presented. It goes well right after the series, meaning it should be watched if you like the series. There's also a hint at the end that the series might still be continued, but I highly doubt that. BTW, it seems like there is more ecchi here, but that's probably my imagination.

| First of all, check out my HMM review, because ratings are taken from there. This little thing is a special to the series, a bonus episode.
For all those interested in this little one, I'd recommend watching it with the series, as a part of it. When the whole crew is complete (which I believe takes place in episode 8). That way it's the most enjoyable.
Otherwise, there is this little catch... If it was a bonus episode, meant as during the series (like I watched it) then all is fine and dandy. However if that was supposed to be final episode... then it's a GRAND failure.
For now I really don't know which one it was supposed to be, but even for an episode during the series it was the least enjoyable one from the bunch.
So I lowered story and enjoyment (were it supposed to be the last episode, I'd lower it even more).
PS. Provided story description, for AnimeNfo lacks one. It contains mild spoilers for this special, and bigger ones for the series up to episode 8!

| Unlike the 10 episodes of the TV series, this 11th episode was actually very very stupid and if it wasn't for the fact it was on the 3rd disc anyway, I'm not sure I would have bothered!
This final 11/10 episode actually spoiled the whole story for me in a way. It was totally unnecessary, purile and infact a little gross!

| this episode was pretty much like the rest of the series exept the main focus was on a baby (or so it seemed). i liked the 5 mini may's, they were absolutly halarious. i think the comedy overall was alot higher in this episode than the rest. it doesnt really give a final conclusion to the series, but like the rest, it will leave you with a nice warm feeling. if youve seen the first 10 and you liked them, definately check this out.

| In my review of the Hand Maid May series, I advanced the theory that maybe this series was originally intended to be longer than 10 episodes but was cut short. In that context, this episode makes a whole lot of sense.
It seems to me that for this final bonus episode that they threw together all the story ideas they had for the series that they couldn't work in, and crammed them into one episode.
You'd think that a story like that would be lame - but surprisingly it works! This has to be my favourite episode of the entire series!
Don't blink or you'll miss something, the story is extremely fast-paced. And while it still suffers from the same lack of attention to detail as the orignial 10 episodes, the action is entertaining enough that you'll hardly notice.
It's sad that they couldn't work each of these individual story lines into the series, but this compromise seems to at least partially make up for it.

| Actually this is just a continuation of the anime, from the original 10 episodes. there is nothing special here. It still has ecchi, some comedy, a very light plot and that's it. It would be better if this was included in the 10 episodes, rather than being a stand alone.
You have to watch the 10 episode first in order to understand this anime.

| Hand Maid May Special is just an extra episode from the series. It's more of that funny, heart-warming ecchiness that a fan of the series should be familiar with.
The animation and sound is pretty much exactly the same is the TV series which means it's not good, but not bad either.
The story is basically an extra TV episode showing what the series is with a little bit of new stuff thrown in about May.
but the story itself is not as funny as in the TV series, so one wonder why the writers would choose this particular story to be their special episode.
There isn't any character development in this special. And the new ability that May gained in here is more mechanical than about her character herself.
In the end, this is a decent episode for the fans who have watched the TV series, but if you're new to it, watching this first would probably make it less enjoyable than it is intended to be.

| Ah, this is what a bonus episode is supposed to be. Like the show, except with more fan service:P Not necessarily of the ecchi kind, but it's like they polled their watchers asking what they really wanted to see and delivered(well, within the bounds of decency, anyways). A delightful addition to a happy, bouncy fluff series and rather satisfying compared to many other series precisely because it doesn't attempt to be anything more than a little bonus.

| Diese Episode reiht sich gemächlich und unspektakulär and die der TV-Serie an und ist vom Inhalt her so ziemlich das gleiche. Somit gilt das was ich in meinem Review zur Serie geschrieben habe auch hier.
