| The Air Summer Special to me is just something extra to the Air series. While it's doesn't add any important extra stuff to the TV series. It's still a fun watch being only two episodes long.
Animations are the same as the Air TV series. Beautiful sky, beautiful backgrounds, good character desings. I'm glad that they kept the same style for the Air TV series and didn't change it like they did with the Air Movie. (Air Movie = SCARY ANIMATIONS)
OP song is the same as the anime series and the same thing goes with the ED song. You may recongnize the same background music being used in the Air Summer Special and the TV series, but it's all good, because the background music was awesome in the TV series. So, why shouldn't they use it again.
The story was a light hearted comedy and just makes you laugh. Instead of being a drama like the TV series did. That was a relief, because I wasn't so sure if I would be ready to watch something so depressing as the TV series again.
The characters are fun filled and love to laugh and smile. Which makes you feel all good inside. The characters don't really develop in two episodes, but it was fun watching them laugh and do quite random stuff.
Watch the fun filled OVA if you want, but it's not necessary. But you should give it a try, even if you don't like it. It only took like about one hour to watch it and you won't feel like you wasted your life. =)

| The AIR Summer Specials were episodes that followed the main 13 episodes. It expanded on the 2 mid-episodes that flashed back to the time of Kanna, Ryuuya, and Uraha's escape from the palace. The episodes gave a more detailed look into the relationship between them during their adventure, but I did not seem to notice any additional significant cues or contribution to the AIR's main storyline; it almost seemed at an attempt for closure and/or a slight "relief" to "end" in a happier note.
Though it is not necessary to see these 2 episodes in my opinion, I would expect those who have seen the AIR TV series to dive into these anyway.
(I advise watching in order of the way the AIR series were all released. Though watching these summer speicals first would work, one probably wont understand what was "going on" till one see the main series. However, watching these first before the main TV series can still work as the middle episodes of the series will like these episodes and the past to the main storyline... try it!)

| After watching the AIR Movie which was a BIG Disappointment, I thought, The AIR TV Series is much better than the movie even though it was sooo sad and depressing... Then i decided to watch this OVA since i haven't watched it. & This OVA: Summer Special Proved to be quite Light-hearted & Enjoyable.
Okay, so it retains its fluid animation and great sounds. But then, there was nothing extremely pretty that made me go "WoWW~!" like the skies in the TV Series... So i give it a 9... The Sounds are Good as always, the seiyuus are good, the OSTs are GooD, etc. But i'm giving this a 9 as well because i was thinking they could have at least made some new music or something for this OVA. It still deserves a 9 anyway...
The Story is just 2 Extra Light-Hearted Episodes of What Happened while Ryuuya, Kanna & Uraha were searching for Kanna's mother. Retaining the main storyline, & Not Straying too far from the plot, this OVA added some light-heartedness. I thought it was all right. The comedy isn't really very funny, but seeing them laugh and happy was quite a good thing. It's good to see some Happy scenes instead of the Sad & UTTERLY Depressing one in the TV Series.
The Characters are good, but didn't really show any development. Well, at least we've seen some extra traits and characteristics in those 3 characters, which were never seen in the Series. But they were good anyhow, So i'm still giving them an 8.
I enjoyed the light-heartedness of this OVA, & it's definitely a must-watch for AIRfans, as it will complete your collection. & it reveals some extra personalities and light-heartedness between the trio, Ryuuya, Kanna & Uraha. =)
I have to say, it's not really what you call a "Great" anime, but it is worth my time anyway, as i enjoyed AIR TV even though it was really sad & Depressing... It just feels good to know i've found out more about the characters in that era. =)

| I thought the Summer Special was quite cute and very different from the series, well the original plot of Misuzu and Yukito. The point on my opinion was just for some humor relief since AIR was such a sad anime.

| Well this two episode special is not a continuation, just a spinoff, a side story set between episode 8 and 9 which shows a more humorous and less dramatic side of the world of AIR, and I guess that was neded as a relief from the endless drama.
Well the animation is great, as in the series, so is the sound...
But then again I never liked the series story and characters.. and their innocent and childish shoujo humour isn't on my taste. And two episodes with no real development of n anime genre that I already dislike doesn't hold to much value for me since there's no reason to watch it anyway due to the fact that it doesn't bring any real continuation to the story...
So watch it only if you're an Air Tv fan, then you'll find it's real enjoyment nd value.

| This anime is the second installment, or more towards the story of the side story in Air TV. Basicly if you have seen Air, and the movie, you will have an idea how this would end and what is the story all about. For those have not seen Air at all, you can actually watch this without any fear sinec it does not built on anything.

| Air Summer is based on Kanna, Ryuuya, and Uraha. These three characters were in two episodes of the Air series, but not much were known about them.
Pretty much, if you liked the Air series, you'll enjoy watching this, although not much does happen.

| Take this 2 episode OVA as character development for the Summe rarc of the TV series.. or you could take it as filler episodes, but in general, this OVA has some fun in it..
The great stuff from Air are still here, the animation, art, sound and overall atmosphere, but somehow this feels different, in the fact, this is just a light-hearted affair in the 'Air world' than you would normally recognise with Air.
Anyways, this is a nice standard 2 episode OVA, with alot of cute and some funny in it but honestly, doesn't really help the great series at all and is decent for a look if you got nothing to do.
Overall, a short review for a short OVA, that doesn't provide much for the series but worth a look at. 6.5/10

| After having watched the TV series, and the somewhat dissapointing movie (in my opinion), I was interested to see what this two episode special would be like.
To start, the animation was very well done, and was similar quality to the TV series. So a perfect 10.
Although I did find that it lacked in the plot department (probably since its only 2 episodes), it was interesting to see some of the "funnier" scenes, which can be found here and there. The characters were quite interesting.
I enjoyed this special quite alot, and I suggest anyone who liked Air to watch it.
Edit: Watch it especially if you like Kanna fan!! Oh btw, these two episodes are set between episodes 8 and 9.
