| Not a particularly amazing episode story and character-wise, but it was kind of interesting to see a pretty decent fusion of typical anime style animation with 3D rendered environments and machines. Although it feels a bit off in terms of real life physics (people fly too slowly, machines don't really have a big oomph when hit or broken), The main reason why I decided to check this out was because it was by Shirow Masamune and I love his works.
In comparison to his other stuff, this single episode is just a way to kind of show off some sort of action/tense-drama within a certain crime scene. It jumps straight into a certain crime situation without any background. So let's evaluate this situation: the villain is pretty lame. Some android who tries to beat the police through some sort of psychological terror by putting one of the police squad member's life in immediate jeopardy. We have an over confident squad leader and annoying as hell ground leader which serves to create some sort of tension. Then we have two androids who kind of brighten the atmosphere, but would otherwise be boring had this episode had continuation.
Anyway, this episode isn't particularly great like I said before, but it remains true to Masamune style of work. If you are a fan, it doesn't hurt to try this out considering how short it is. Although I definitely would recommend to NOT buy this, definitely not of high quality.

| A decent story and familiar characters mangled by some of the worst CG I have ever seen. It looks more like an older video game than modern theatrical or even television level CG work.
The original Dominion : Tank Police fared much better than this.
I still think Anapuna and Unipuma are better as foes than as members of the police force. Their individuality is wasted when made part of the team.
Masamune has not had a good record with CG projects and this is proof he should return to his graphic roots, at least until Cg is perfected enough to do justice to his creativity,
