| Hm, this series woke no feelings in me. I suppose I watched it in case it should "take off". I must admit, I never cared for men dressing as women as a plot point (probably not in real life either, but I have not identified any). It just doesn't interest me. I go: "and....?". And the man takes up a teaching position at a local school. This has been done in other series by the way, like St.Luminous (well, a student). It goes from there for the man to be a respected female teacher, keeping in mind language, manners, clothes, etc. This is a sitcom plot I've never enjoyed: someone pretending to be something they're not. If you do find it interesting, you will get something else out of this series. The confusion and adaption of female style, coupled with the desire to be a valued teacher, as well as taking a student who then becomes confused about her sexuality- under his wing, is what the series is about. It was quite ok I guess, but it just never got interesting for anti-sitcom me. The humour was never really surprising, pretty straight-forward, although not lame and slow-paced. In the end, I suppose the biggest problem is that it gives me a kind of "haven't I seen this before?"- feeling.

| I enjoyed this cute little anime and I'm sure it'll appeal to some of you due primarily to its characters.
Overall, I My Me! works fairly well. It sure hit the spot for me, as I wanted something relatively mindless, light and entertaining, cute and funny, and that's exactly what I got.
It's a short little pedophilic romance comedy, and this is where it takes a wrong turn in some regards, though at least we don't have to watch our teacher get it on with his target of affection.
The pedophilic aspects are trying to convey a morality that doesn't fit into society for a reason, and trying to espouse such detracts from the anime as it cannot itself justify what it is doing, and that is why it ends as it does instead of some significantly more controversial manner.
This is just a part of how I My Me is not very well done. In addition to the poorly executed plot, the animation is slightly sloppy, and those far too appealing characters change their minds in a heartbeat because they're not well presented.
But, the series is enjoyable, and here's a possible why: I My Me very properly follows a formula for appeal.
Strong, sensitive, kind, caring male hero (heroes?) with a burning passion.
Cute, always smiling, ditzy but not stupid, clumsy little cute girl, who strives hard to do her very best!
Some comic relief.
And all their friends! The strong girl, the babe, the distant one...
And, all of these characters, for some reason, just have so much appeal!
Its formula is sound, and it worked for me because I was in the mood for this kind of anime.
So, I'd recommend it to you on some levels, but don't expect any hidden meanings or depth or much aside from a cute little lovey romance mixed with some loli situation and comedy, and you won't be disappointed and may even enjoy yourself.

| What a refreshing series this has been! Strawberry Eggs is what every comedy/romance series should aspire to be: fun and heartwarming. With a name which has absolutely nothing to do with the plot, the series is yet another take of a male dressing like a female to complete a job (Mrs. Doubtfire comes to the mind). In this case the job is to be a P.E. teacher in a school which a so matriarchal, it reminds me of amazons of the greek mythology.
Strawberry eggs however doesnot break any new ground as far as slice-of-life is concerned. The first 7-8 episodes are stand-alones with Amawa-sensei either getting or helping her (or should it be 'his') students out of a mess. The main person getting into trouble - Kuzuha, a cute and naive girl. While nothing special which would send a person into raptures - it never gets dull and always remains cheerful and comic. From the camping incident - the series sheds its stand-alone mode and turns into a beautiful take on first love and the pangs of rejection. The scenes of Akira and Himejima were done very well. And then the main theme is brought up - Amawa being exposed to what she (he?) really is.
The characters of this series are nothing spectacular. Even at their top form they can said to be good / above average. By no means are they very memorable. My biggest pang in the characters Amawa - his side as male is extremely underdeveloped, leaving many points desired, unheeded. The main focus is given to his female side. Also, the two heads - Principal and Vice-principal are shown to be anti-male to an extent to be labelled as Female Chauvinist Pigs. Ba-chan and the Gochisa folks provide un-needed comic relief. The best characters are Kuzuha, Himehima and Akira and ofcourse Amawa.
While the characters remain average at best, it is their relationships which are dealt with finesse here. The scenes of Himejima and Akira, Akira and Kuzuha, Amawa and Kuzuha were dealt wonderfully, the first being the tear-jerker of the series. The last episode is done very nicely, but in my opinion could have been done better if Amawa would have to be given a more active role. The ending however was balnced quite finely. As a selfish request I would have liked an epilogue to this series as in "Three years later..." but the makers do not give us this...
I recommed Strawberry Eggs since it is a nice tale and doesn't require you to spend too much of your barin in watching the series. As a bonus, it has a good story and some scenes which I will remember for quite a while. What I find quite remarkable in this series is that eventhough it doesn't fare that great on story, characters, animation and sound - I enjoyed this a lot. Go ahead, you will like this...

| I approached I, My Me - Strawberry Eggs with a small amount of trepidation, since the title didn't give me any clues as to what it would contain. That was unwarranted, since what I saw was a highly enjoyable anime with stunning characters and a good storyline.
Strawberry Eggs started off as a bit of a comedy, and seemed determined not to take itself too seriously, although that changed about halfway through the series ... it shifted a little closer to a drama, with plenty of emotional moments. There were still plenty of funny moments, however.
Strawberry Eggs had a pretty open-ended ending ... so matters aren't completely brought to a close, although I have doubts that there will ever be any kind of sequel ... which is a pity.
In the story, a few moral issues are addressed, but I didn't see them as influencing the story too a huge degree, but it was included for a reason, as anyone watching the series will soon find out. There was a good deal of character development, focusing mainly on Kuzuha Fuuko and her teacher.
I was disappointed when Strawberry Eggs ended, wishing somehow that there was a way for the story to continue.

| the story is not a typical story(at least i dont think it is). everything about this anime is above an 8. Love in this anime is young love and theres the battle of the sexes going on here. the school is a school that detests men, but has to accept male students cuz thats just a rule. and theres also a weird grandma that has connections in this anime, but she might not actually be a grandma cuz her voice sounds like a man.

| Strawberry Egg is a sweet little anime, not to smart in plot but still manages to combine the famous "I want to be a great teacher" genre with travestite comedy and tales of love in many forms, from the love chains, to unrequired love and impossibile love as many said... and it manages to do it in a quite decent, lightharted but still emotional way.
The classic animation hand drawn animation still creates, at least to me a nice and nostalgic feeling, even dough it's not top notch, and the quallity between some episodes is visible.
The sound, even dough it's not as present as it should have been, still holds up enjoyment as the voice acting is normal, and the op theme calm and warm.
The story combines as expected in all "I wanna be a great teacher" comedic ellements, with social ones as the relation between students and teacher. The comedy is mostly sustained by the two perverts and the old Inn Keeper, by the frigid two teachers... Even dough the comedy wasn't the best, it wasn't repulsive, and it brought a few smiles on my face. As for the serious side? I still have problems with the morality of the impossibile love, and the transvestite plot.
Well the character crew is somewhat known in the anime world, from the kind harted but always falling down girl Fuko, to the violent girl Fujio (my favorite), or the cool never laughing guy Akira (I just hate his type)... The main character was original indeed, as was the old in keeper.
As for my enjoment of the anime? Well the first episodes weren't very interesting, but then again they were used to get us aquainted with the characters, but as the story progressed it became more interesting, and the ending concluded all problems in a very nice way that closes in the best way in my opinion with emotion, sadness and yet happyness, friendship and partings as all the characters who are looking for answers finally find them.
As a conclusion, it prooved to be quite a rewarding anime, quite relaxing to watch between more serious series and still manages to leave you with some feelings.

| Hibiki Amawa wants to be a teacher. The school he wants to teach at, however, hires only female staff. To get a job there, he cross-dresses. He tries to avoid being discovered by the principal and vice principal. The ending is very sad and will induce tears in many viewers.

| This anime made me even more certain that short animes are almost always much better than the normal 26 episoders.
Ai Mai Mi! Strawberry Eggs started out fairly normal, if not a bit short of decent. Episode one wasn’t that impressive at all, nor was episodes 2, 3 and 4. But somewhere around episode 6, 7 or 8, things start to get more interesting, NOT to say that episodes 2 to 5 were all bad and boring, they were just normal story-of-life type episodes.
The animation was rather ordinary, purely judging by this would make it a not-so-good anime, but it was occasionally nicely done. Anyways, it matched the feel of this normal anime.
The opening theme and also the anime’s main theme was very light-hearted indeed, a feel-good song without a doubt, only the most tone deaf people would fail to recognise this. I do feel, like with so many other anime, there could have been more use of this during important times of the anime, and maybe have other themes too, but since this was a short anime, it might have been difficult.
The story basically turned out to be a Person A loves B, but B loves C, but C loves D and D is confused as to what to do. But as ever, it has a twists and problems. A basic story all in all, but the main girl character was great in English dub.
A good anime and good thing it was short too, short and sweet, if you love romance animes, this one you should see. Typical for sure in some respects, but puts it together resulting in a solid anime for the second half of the series. First half was quite wishy-washy.

| I watched this anime as gender-bending media is always of interest to me.
The series runs the perfect length (13 episodes) and can only be put as entertaining.......strange but entertaining.

| Strawberry Eggs is a sweet, endearing tale about forbidden love, unrequited love and one man's quest to be a great teacher.
It's filled with plenty of light hearted humour, sweet teenage longings and a dash of watered down fan service, which all make for a very entertaining series that has all round appeal.

| Cute anime but no development of characters. But it's still fun to watch though because it has some humor in it. Sometimes I think this story is about homosexuality because the girl really really likes her P.E. teacher even though there's another guy confesses his love to her at the same time. She knows that loving her teacher is forbidden as her teacher is a woman but she determined to like the teacher anyway. She almost kissed her teacher in a hospital....Kinda weird...I think. But when she found out that her teacher is actually a guy, she felt a little bit sad about it.

| The Story is a treasure that is elligible for you keep for a long time and you will not waste your time to reccommend this kind of heart-warming story that touches love and relationship. At first I thought the story is about homosexuality that a girl is possibly inlove with same sex. But in the end, the heart talk. Even, Hibiki was a real male and he was "bra-man" she realized that feelings are more important that does not fade easily. Very good story with a twist.
Recommend to all mushy and love story addict anime lovers! The ending is superb the author want to point-out that love never die and can wait for a long time, even the person you love goes away (like Hibiki), she will wait the right time that will a real Hibiki-Sensei will return!

| Very original humor in terms of the underlying storyline, but not much innovation in humor stype
I was captivated by this anime after the first episode and certainly enjoyed it as various 'awkward moments' passed by as Hibiki Amawa tries to prove that men can have love towards their students as well. However, as the episodes went by, I got kind of tired of the repetitiveness.
I feel one of the strongests in this funny anime is that there isn't unnecessary complex character development. It is very light-hearted and even though it may not be deep and thoughtful, it is not flat. Amawa has a very amiable personality and although the support characters are quite stereotypical, I feel that they have a uniqueness in their own sense. However, this is also the weakness of the anime for others. For instance, this anime is kind of episodic; each episode has a certain theme and as a result it bends humor around this topic with infusion of ecchi stuff.
I semi-enjoyed this little series because of its quite original humor. I've not seen much where a guy cross dresses for the whole series although I HAVE seen much in terms of guy/girl awkward humor. But there was nothing new after the first few episodes
I would recommend watching the first episode and if it floats your boat and peaks your curiosity the rest is a must see, but watching this continuously gets tiring...... since again, the characters seem to be quite static towards the middle with less of a interesting story line, more focused on how good this man can be loving.....
For those who want something solid in their anime, this is not for you.

| The animation of this anime looked a little old. I am not sure if is because of the quality of the anime that might have an issue. I thought the animation would have been drawn much better because there are some parts where the artist tries to make the character look younger my making them shorter and a little chubbier, which makes it bizzard. Other than that is pretty good. The sound is pretty good. No annoying character voices. Also the opening song is pretty good with the theme, so they were a perfect match.
The story is pretty good. I really like it is just the idea of a guy being a teacher, but the only way in being hired is to be a woman. I like it because is really straight foward and is somehting entretaining to watch because the plot is not borring at all.
The characters are pretty good developed. You get to see how someone can actually like someone from the same sex... heheh... j/k I belive that it happens is because he dresses like a woman, he never really lost his male charm... ^^
I really enjoyed watching it. I recommend it to everyone. It is something short and yet straight foward to the point.

| Seeing some extremes in reviews, well ,I'm on the positive side
This is a Highly recommended animation.
The story is not really unique but the plot setting is wise and excellent story development especially the heart pounding last episodes. The ending is somewhat in a rush & just don't expect everything is rounded off. I think it's good in it's left in that way.
Characters are great especially the few core members. Interaction is fantastic as a light drama, I enjoyed the serious part as well. Comedy portion is fine or standard, and did have some laughable moments.
Excellent Seiyuu performance (Yuki Masuda and Kishi Yuji in particular)
OP/ED are fairly good, fitting the story style I think.
Very attractive drawings as well. May be a bit too much fans service but nevermind. I focused on the story.
That's a 2001 production afterall and it's a highly enjoyable one.

| This series was standard. Although it had a unique story-line where a man had to pay his rent by becoming a teacher at an all-girls school, mind you he had to dress up as a woman, that's a bit despearate and a bit silly. However, it was enjoyable, was a bit slow-paced but it was a cute series to watch, and teaches lessons in life, especially toward gender differences and coming up with compromises in the end. It was a cute series to watch.

| I really enjoyed this anime, although the story in itself is not that extraordinary.
A soon-to-become-female-only high school hires only female teachers, and Hibiki, a man, disguises himself as a woman to get a job. A lot of funny situations arise from this, which is the strong point about this anime.
A lot of topics related to gender discrimination are explored, and the only downside of this series is mostly the few ecchi scenes and the two perverts living in Hibiki's place, which are out of place and not funny nor interesting at all in this kind of setting and story.
The OP and ED songs are really nice, and the animation is great.

| I watched this with caution. I was surprised, this anime was actually very good. A few episodes lagged, and the anime suffered from not having enough interesting characters. The ending felt alittle rushed. However, the anime had a certain charm, and the main lead was interesting. Please check my other points. 8/10 if you're looking for light entertainment. 7/10 if you hate the pointless underwear shots and short skirts and rubbish like that

| Watching this reminds me of a movie called miss doubfire(somthing like that), cross dressing from male to female to get a job. The story isn't really that complicated, but its enjoying enough. Comedy at first, then it becomes too direct, the ending was well done, and watching this was nice, memorable, but lack that wow! factor in some episodes. Has some ecchi in this, but not something that is used all the time.
