| Overview:
Perhaps its my bias towards rumiko style characters, but this was pretty darn enjoyable to me. Its got romance, comedy, a touch of drama, and mediocre/comical fights. We also get a little bit of family drama, the mother who longs for her child's return and the orphen who looks for a mother, which touched me a little.
Good:
Simple but attractive character designs, likable characters, excellent op/end songs and bgm, doesn't try to do too much, funny.
Bad:
A few underdeveloped chars (too many girls make it almost harem like in appearance), and some plot was left unresolved.
Conclusion: if you like shows that give you well defined characters, rumiko style misunderstanding driven romance, and just wacky characters you should consider giving it a try. Don't expect anything too serious.

| Oh wow, I acutally watch them all without fall asleep.
Shinsengumi TV is one crappy anime. Maybe if you can laugh about their jokes or think that the characters are cute then you're good to go. But for me it was the worst anime of the month.
Start out with ok plot, copied the whole town design and music from the Sakura Wars. They did even have the girls doing the youkai hunting just like in Sakura Wars. The girls got some crappy powers to hunt down the crappy monsters, but the guy got no power and he just sitting around for the whole show. Beside the boring plot, they have to add this massive of misunderstand of romance. Person changed into another person and fall in love with a wrong person and such. They never got around to the know the truth and that's just piss me off. Of course they got jokes, oh yea.. the only thing is IT'S NOT FUNNY, it rather annoying. Take the child monster for instant. He will keep saying stupid jokes everytime he got a chance to talk and that ojo lady who always do the stupid high-pitch voice laugh. About the romance, if you can stay around to ep 10 or so then you might see 'some' decent harem there to keep you till the end. The ending sux thou.
Hate everything except op/ed songs. Go try a ep. yourself, and see if you like it or not. For me, it's the worst show of the month.

| This anime series will remind you of the Ranma 1/2 series. And why shouldn't it? Rumiko Takahashi did the character designs after all.
There's only one real element dragging the story forward. Each episode seems like a random jumble of occurances which always end in one of two ways (you'll find out after watching a few episodes). However, there is a single underlying theme carried throughout each episode.
The characters are sort of stereotypical in anime these days...at least the girls are. They still make a pretty good group though.
The music is well-timed. The starting and ending themes are fun and upbeat. They fit in with the series pretty well.
Overall a very fun anime. It seems like a few episodes were aired in 2002 and then stopped. However, there's so much stuff in some episodes that you can watch over and over again and find new things. Recommended for people who like randomness and just general comedy elements. But don't expect any touchy story-telling or serious plots.

+Old time Jap world with youkai, didn't watch such anime since that Inuyasha ended.
+Unique Galz (But i have seen such from many other animes)
-LAME story so far.
-Don't think it can interest me ani further.
