| What started as a great show ended up falling short of my expectations. Shuffle is a typical harem about a (typical) nice guy who seems to want everyone to be happy. Of course, being a harem, this ends up being very difficult.
The storyline takes place in a pseudo realistic world in which demons and gods have found a portal/way to enter/leave the human world. Thus we have gods (with short pointy ears) and demons (with really long pointy ears) with magical abilities (but otherwise human looking).
In the end, we end up with the typical harem situation with five (+) girls and one guy. What made this series slightly better for me was the fact that I could not predict which way the main character was going to go, it made it more of a harem than shows such as Love Hina where the main male chooses his pick early on.
The storyline breaks down for me in the latter parts of the story culminating in an inconclusive and unsatisfying conclusion. I hear that Shuffle Memories does little to alleviate the fact though I will still watch it eventually.
If you don't like inconclusive endings, steer clear of this.

| This one was very imbalanced somehow but fortunately it didn't disturb me much.
First of all, animation was shuffle's weakest link. It was quite unclear and the "drawing" style made some characters look very strange from time to time. Usage of colors was very dull sometimes.
But after few episodes all those problems started to disappear, colors became little stronger, backrounds got better too etc.
Appearance of couple last episodes were very enjoyable, but I was already decided to be rough on it.
Sounds, they were good most of the time, but some voice actors sounded little too fake. I liked opening theme, well... after all it was little closer on my music taste, than usual musics are.
Backround musics were quite well chosen, so I can't really complain about them.
Story was quite usual stuff, but it still was very good and hold me tightly on its grasp. Well somethings went little different than I hoped, but it really isn't worth of whining for. ;)
Main character is little different this time, so it was really refreshing somehow. I was ready to nail this one, but suprisingly it didn't fall major harem cliché. Which is super whimpy nerdish guy working as a slave to girls etc. I'm so full of that arrangement.
Female characters were quite fun, because of their personality problems etc.
I really can't measure Shuffle's value to me, it's good and little refreshing compared to most of the harem type anime, what I have seen before.
I enjoyed to watch this one, it have many little weaknesses, but your own attitude is more important point. If U keep whining things U cant really enjoy of it, but if U shutdown your memories and watch it like it's your very first romantic or harem anime so it should be very good.
Have fun whatching this one. ^^

| well i think that if you are going to watch harem anime you should consider too that not every harem anime is good. you see it may contain too much fan service, so it takes away credibility, but then again you find something like this. on to the review

| Considering the number of wallpapers you might see while surfing through anime wallpaper websites, forums and other places on the net, you might end up thinking that Shuffle! is something really awesome. And why not? After all the wallpapers certainly seem to suggest so - you have 5 amazingly pretty girls and suggestive pictures. I was in the same group as well and npthing could prepare me from the disappointment I was able to recieve while most of the series run. Based on a H-Game by Navel, one thing is for certain - Shuffle is not a very good anime.

| Shuffle! is a 24 episode long typical harem anime based on the game Shuffle!. The anime was ultimately let down by its sub-standard animation, poor characters and uninteresting storyline.
The animation is, sadly, not nearly half as good as the high quality drawings in the Shuffle! game, and is definitely below what one would expect from a 2005 anime. There are several episodes in which the graphics and animation are particularly bad, and a number of scenes simply felt rushed and unfinished.
One of the few areas where Shuffle! doesn't disappoint, is its decent soundtrack throughout. The theme songs and the background music, although not fitting the mood perfectly every time, sound good and are pleasant to listen to. The quality of the voice overs however, are only average. But, that might have more to do with the poor character development instead of poor voice acting.
The storyline of Shuffle! has been, in my opinion, heavily damaged by the absurdity of the main character. It is not till the final few episodes that the storyline of Shuffle! becomes slightly more interesting, despite the decreasing intelligence of the male lead. The timing of the ending was just acceptable. Had they dragged the storyline on a bit longer and Shuffle! might have become a total disaster. Overall, Shuffle! is just plain boring. The storyline picks itself a bit near the end, but that's about it.
Shuffle! fails to actually make the viewer care about its characters, ruining almost every climactic moment in the storyline and heavily damaging character development. The stupidity and idiocy of the lead male character ruins the mood very often and becomes ridiculous to a laughable extent near the end. The other characters are developed, albeit a bit too late, as I had already lost all interest in the anime by that time.
I found Shuffle! to be very disappointing. It failed to satisfy me in most areas, and I doubt that it'll satisfy anyone who is not a harem or Shuffle! fan. A sequel/alternative-story-telling series is out, called Shuffle! Memories, however, the quality of that seems to be even worse.

| In the first few episodes we get a good impression of this anime. The animation and sound qualities are very good, the story line is solid and the characters are all very likable. the story line is very dramatic but starts out very care free. Basically one man is sourounded by attractive women. Every viewer most likely has a favorite and most viewers probably ended up dissapointed with the one he chose. (I know I was). Even so the story was so emotional that anyone could enjoy this love story. Each character has a unique personality that gives the show it's atmosphere.
I personally loved this show from begginning to end and I intend t watch it again soon.

| This harem anime started very well. Shuffle! has almost the same story as every other harem. The main character had a hard life and everyone who loves him had a hard life in the past. I loved the start of this anime. You begging to believe that this anime will not be like the rest and you might enjoy it with all the comedy. Towards the end of the anime the drama comes into play when Rin has to pick between 4 girls(Not including Primura).
In my opinion he just happened to picked the wrong one out of the group. However, he sort of picked the right one due to some events that will happen later on in the anime. There were some nice character development and some of the girls were sort of psycho(Kaede). Of course that's understandable once you see her past. Rin was a dick a lot of the time thru the anime(Hence the 5 on character he pissed me off a lot).
Even though in ended with the girl that (I think) wasn't right for him, it had a decent end. It had some nice plot twist, and you are always wondering what's going to happen next. Sometime it might turn to be something annoying and ruin the episode.
I would recommended it, but I would adivse that it could get you mad sometimes.

| Well.. its a harem anime. I was very reluctant to download this anime for that very reason, but i was constantly told on how great this show was and you can't judge a book by its cover. Well she was partially right. I was surprised by some of the darker moments in the show, such as Primula's arc and Kaede's childhood, but that didn't keep me entertained for long.
The main downpoint of this show was the fact that after the plot starts going somewhere and you get interested and excited about what's going on, they revert back to the typical harem-y fanservice-y comedy smut that all harems have. The creator tried to make this show "stand out" from other harem animes, if you've seen this show, you'd understand. But it fails in many aspects. If the show continued in a more serious manner and had consistent plot development, this review wouldn't be as harsh. There has only been one harem anime that i ever enjoyed and unfortunately, Shuffle! was not it.

| Well Shuffle is merely a decent anime that started off well and proved to be more than predictable. Actually from the start, it's kind of apparent which 2 of the 4 characters had the highest chance of being chosen even if you haven't played the game.

| At first glance, Shuffle! is a typical harem anime, one slightly indecisive boy with several girls to chose from. Where this series differs from most is in its plot twists and darker moments.
The overall quality of Shuffle!'s animation and sound are good and the characters are well developed. I recomend this to anyone who like herem series, and it may be worth a try even if you don't.

| I really enjoyed this anime alot. Personally in my opinion, this is the best harem anime, I have ever seen.
The animation had really bright and smooth colors. Very nicely drawn and the backgrounds look clean and wonderful.
The voices of the characters really match their personality. The music in the backgrounds aren't that horrible, but what made me give this a "9" was because of the wonderful opening song. I thought the lyrics fit the anime perfectly and it was kinds half pop and half rock at the same time. One of the best OP ever.
I thought the story was pretty good for a harem anime. The story is about a man who is surrounded by beautiful girls who like him. Very typical of a arem anime, but that's what makes a harem anime a harem anime. The plot is sometimes funny and very dramatic and that makes this anime very intresting. I realized this anime had a good story line and some plot twists and turns.
Characters are done really well and the character designs are really thought out.
Rin - Your average boy who's surrounded by beautiful ladies. But I like Rin because he's not like those other harem boys who are shy and can't decide on anything.
Kaede - The nice girl who helps Rin get through his troubles. She has known Rin for a long time and she also lives with him. (Love the Kaede episodes which go into her past) Also one of the girls that Rin can choose at the end.
Shia - Shia is a daughter of the god. Not smart, but excels at everything else. Also one of the girls Rin can choose at the end.
Nerine - Nerine is the daughter of a demon lord. She very smart and kind, but she doesn't do well at cooking or athletics. Another girl Rin can choose at the end.
Asa - A girl who has known Rin for a long time and has become friends with him. The last girl Rin can choose at the end of the anime.
Primula - Primula is just an extra character to fill in the episodes. (At least that's what I think) She has a dark past and lives with Rin and Kaede at the moment.
If you can't remember their names, then you can remember their hair color. Kaede is orange, Shia is red, Nerine is blue, Asa is green, and Primula is purple.
Once you watch this anime you probably won't watch it again. It's an absolute must watch for the harem fans and even if you're not intrested in harem, you should still check it out.

| Like a game of cards, you have Kings, Queens and a few Jokers. What sets Shuffle! a part from other harem anime is there's actual closure to this anime. This anime is average, but the fanservice will keep most watching a few episodes or more.

| SHUFFLE! is just one of those anime series that is the usual harem stories where a single guy is loved by several pretty girls.
It is funny enough to keep you and your friends talking about it but is also as boring enough to lull you to sleep.
But all in all its an anime that is good to watch to pass the time and laugh about the next day after watching it, as you can see the score, It isn't that high nor that low, It is a good anime series and is quite enjoyable to watch.

| I'm not a fan of harem anime, but even if you are, I can barely recommend this show at all. The strongest part of it is the animation. Some of the backgrounds are quite impressive. The voices are rather irritating, however, especially Asa and Sia (and Kaede). While the story makes decent attempts at drama, the progression of the show did not convince me of the choice Rin (our harem leader) makes. I feel sorry for Primula, who is used to make the plot move along, but never had a chance with Rin.
There's some sort of story premise about Gods and Demons, but frankly it's an excuse to have elvish-looking characters. Although in the end magic does have some role to play, for the most part there was no purpose for the story to have Gods and Demons that co-exist with people.
Basically, I was bored from the beginning, which attempted to be school comedy, to the middle, where the fanservice suddenly turned up several notches for no reason at all. The only episodes worth watching (if at all) are probably 18-24.
So unless you are desperate to watch a new harem show with decent animation, or fanservice is all you care about, I suggest staying away from this show and wasting ~8 hours of your life.

| I quite liked Shuffle. Beautiful animation, and I would say a high quality series overall, in spite of the sketchy story. Bona fide harem here, with multiple chicks trying to snag the main guy. The main guy isn't a dork like Keitaro though, but he also lacks those endearing qualities. Overall I didn't like him. I perfer the innocent but likeable dorks, I'm starting to realize.
The girls have their own personalities, but mainly I distinguished between them based on looks, and hair color more specifically. There is a clear winner at the end, and it was satisfying enough. Music I liked, OP ED and the music in the eps. Pretty fun series except at the end where it takes a serious turn. A few surprising moments of drama in this actually, interspersed with frivolous adventures and ecchi.
Don't expect a smashing story from a game based series though. Still, the series does what it can with the character arcs. Budget may have been high for this, I suspect. Recommended if you fancy harems, or boyish romance. The romance was good I thought.

| I had this show on my HD for god know how long and had just forgotten about it. I finally got through it and I must say WOW. Both the ending and opening are superb and throught out the series the music really matches the different tones throught the series. I believe the animation for 2005 pretty well done and i just love the character designs. As far as the story goes the introduction of all the characters halfway then a shift to the real story was a good mix , I think the drama part is missing in alot of these types of series and is the reason this series shines. All the main characters and sub characters are in my opinion unique and throughout left pretty well developed. I recomend this to anyone who likes harem anime and wants something a little different then what is normally expected.

| wow, i was surprised by shuffle i thought it would just be another harem anime but i was mistaken .
animation- the animation was flawless the characters looked good ,the scenery was nice and there wasnt a time were the animation was ugly. the animation in this series also resembles the style and animation of a RPG.
sound- i liked the oppening theme song alot it was nice in upbeat .the ending them was a little less rememerable and the oppening was better.
story- this is were the twist comes in the old fashion harem anime instead of being stuck in a house with women there are only three who live with him and two that he shalll be bethrowed to the demon princess and the heaven princess. this was its strongest point the p[lot that was very good.
characters- well i do like this cast i mean there so interesting and lively . i liked kaede the most because she was nice and cooked and i thought her security team was hilarious.
value- it was a nice change in harem anime and is worth a watch .

| Another harem series, lots of eye candy and ecchi. The story begins with our main character Rin who is pampered by the prettiest girls, and from whom he can't make up his mind who he wants to be with.
By the time he makes up his mind, you would have found other animes that bear the same resemblance to it. So IMO Shuffle doesn't bring anything fresh to the harem/romance theme. If you want to compare this to KGNE, this doesn't reflect realism at all.
Characters are unique and memorable, each are also given adequate screen time and flashbacks. This is one of the anime's winning points. From the ever cheerful Sia, to the quiet Primula. it pretty much covers a lively cast.
The first half was all about the fun part, then slowly it gets abit draining towards the middle. By the time I watched the last few episodes, I felt quite bored. But I liked some scenes, like how Asa recalled her mother crying for her, it was touching.
In terms of music, the OP was ok, I prefered the ED better. The anime also makes use of well timed background music to enhance the experience.
Overall Shuffle! is worth one watch IMHO, because other animes have about the same storyline and characters that Shuffle! has. But if you're new to the harem/romance theme, it would definitely score on your list.

| One of those same harem anime that will either bore you to death or love every single moment of it.
The animation was good overall. Since the studio also made the game version of this, it's no surprise that animation is top-notch. Character movements are fluid, but not that noticeable and the background is somewhat colorful, typical of harem genres.
The sound is also another good aspect of the anime. The OP is a Jpop song that really fits in the theme. The ED was not bad, but pales in comparison with the upbeat tone of the OP. BGM is lighthearted and bearable. The character voices are also nicely done. Overall, impressive sound s.
Now we go to story. Err... not much of a plot happening. There are plot holes that needs more explanation and detail. Also, there are also some subplots which are not really meant to be in the show at all. The main plot was really mediocre. It's standard H-game material which is overused.
For character, there are some characters that hopelessly need character background in order to symphatize with them, but were left unexplained. Too bad, considering they have such a small cast of characters.
As for value, the plot will leave you to think before you buy, but if you're a harem fan or owns the game, don't hesitate to buy it.
TBH, I had fun with this anime, but won't be rewatching this. It was a mediocre anime from start to finish.
