A universal commentary on the importance of art in daily life, _Oishinbo_ not only documents Japanese cuisine, but advocates the development of individual discernment over a reliance on marketing hype. Right up there with _Hikaru no Go_ in its embodiment of the saying, "Vita brevis, ars longa.". _Oishinbo_ promises to be my favorite anime of all time!
