| And to think that I thought this was a rip-off from the Lion King while it was the opposite! Shame on Disney and shame on me!
Anyway if this anime was produced in the 60's I change all my opinions about it when I first saw it.
The animation was superb for its time and also the music. It reaches its limits of how a kids show should be made.
The story is also unique. If Disney uses it for the Lion King it has to be simply good. But since it consists of many episodes sometimes it becomes boring. But the first 2-3 episodes are memorable.
Overall this is a nice piece of work but I wouldnt watch it twice. I wish though I had given it more time than I gave the Lion King (though the latter was a masterpiece on its own)
Another classic that should be better watched in Japanese

| Simba is another anime made during the Speed racer time. Its actually better than speed racer in most areas, with an imaginative story line which adults now will see it more unrealistic.
Liking this anime depends on viewers and their preferences to animals. Its like speed racer, but animals, and Simba/Kimba here as the star.

| The greatest anime on earth, which Disney stole to make the Lying King. Yes thats right. Anyway. If you can put aside that it was made in the 60's. The story has so much meaning :)
