| Man kann das "True" im Titel auch getrost mit "Typical" ersetzen, denn was man mit dieser OVA zu sehen bekommt ist rein gar nichts anderes als der standardmäßigste Standard in Sachen Romance-Anime den man sich nur vorstellen kann. Kleines, süßes unheimlich schüchternes Mädchen verliebt sich in Average-Boy, sie traut sich nicht ihm ihre Gefühle zu offenbaren und er tingelt kreutz und quer mit verschiedenen Mädchen durch die Gegend bis ihm klar wird das er SIE liebt. Dabei gibt es dann noch die typischen Missverständnisse und die üblichen Elemente wie versprechen aus der Kindheit und das schlechte Gedächtnis des männlichen Hauptcharakters, der bis kurz vor Schluss braucht bis er sich an alles erinnert und realisiert das er seit JENEM Tag in das Mädel verschossen war. Der Ablauf der 3 Episoden ist so schrecklich gängig, das man sich als Kenner der Materie sehr schnell anfängt zu langweilen und sich womöglich auch wegen dem recht hohen Kitsch-Faktor über kurz oder lang mit gequältem Lächeln an den Kopf fasst. Hier ist nichts wirklich romantisch oder dramatisch und alles was hier so eintritt ist leicht vorherzusehen. Die Charaktere sind ebenso langweilig und sind überwiegend mit stereotypischen Gefühls- und Gedankengängen, sowie Persönlichkeiten ausgestattet. Das "True Love Story" auf einem Dating-Sim basiert merkt man am Cast überdeutlich denn in den 3 Episoden werden sämtliche Mädchen aus dem Game untergebracht und daraus resultiert standesgemäß das sie aufgrund ihrer hohen Anzahl und der kurzen Spielzeit nicht mal im Ansatz zufriedenstellend vorgestellt geschweige denn entwickelt werden. Fazit: "True Love Story" ist allerhöchstens etwas für Hardcore-Fans von Romance-Animes die alles was es von dem Genre so gibt verschlingen egal wie klischeelastig und standardmäßig der Inhalt auch ist. Wer sich nicht dazu zählt, brauch hier nicht reinschauen. Es gibt in dem Genre weit bessere und wenigstens ETWAS kreativere Alternativen, die man dieser OVA auf jeden Fall vorziehen sollte!

| Cute... but same as always. There's absolutely NO originality in this OAV series. Don't get me wrong, I'm a sucker for the "chick flickish" animes, but come on, think of something that hasn't been done! I watched this series after coming down from the emotional high of watching Onegai Teacher. Come on! Onegai Teacher did a better job with a plot that involved a pedofilish teacher. If that's not messed up, I'm freaking Dick Cheney. Don't waste you're time, watch Onegai Teacher if you haven't seen it already.

| Follwing the, unfortunatly, typical formula of h-romance game -> ova conversions True Love Story wasn't that great, and offered nothing that you havent seen in the past. Unknowing, and somewhat clueless male character. The shy and reserved girl that loves him from a distance but cant express her feelings. The outspoken childhood friend that 'seems' to get in the way. It's all here, just from that alone you should have a good idea how the story is going to go. Sound isnt all that, the character desings are bland, boring to look at, and sometimes just plain ugly. Small, unfinished, and boring for the most part. Save this for when you really need a break from a regular anime series.

| Well, I a fan of the romace anime so i can't say anything bad here.
The story is go with slow-pace, the kind of thing that made you feel like you watch 1 hour soap opera but in the reality you only wasted a couple of min. isn't that great? There're a lot of characters in the story, but they never go deep or give them a chance to talk. It not just it because 3 short oav. It because the direct and how they do thing. They could have balace the speech and decrese the still sceces or gaze shots. But you know what? I love thouse stuff... can't blame me either, since i'm a romance fan. I really enjoys this series and NO I didn't no sleep or jerk off while watching anime. Peace out! :D

| This is a really typical romance anime. And when there is only 3 episodes you can't really put anything special into it.
The story itself is really typical like every other romance story. It involves a normal high school guy and a high school girl and what happen when they fall in love with each other...
Animation is only okay, as I don't enjoy the character design too much. Sound is good and the seiyuu is fitting.
But at the end, not watching it would not make you miss anything at all, as there are a lot of better romance anime out there.
