| Its a dark series that starts with the male character dying when hit by a truck and then after the Princess uses her blood to reanimate him as a blood warrior, takes a number of even darker turns, depicting a vicious fight between members of her family for rulership over their world.
But the series manages to provide humor, drama and even a bit of romance, so I still recommend it highly, even if only 2 paperbacks are currently available in the US.
