| Strangely I liked this one, Animation looked on first sight very awful, so cheap somehow. But when I got used to it, it looked quite good, music well I have seen better ones and couple character voices were little annoying.
Story is simple, but I dunno why it made watch this nonstop till the end.
Main male character were again kinda uncool and stuff, but this time it didn't disturb me at all.
I believe Wind doesn't have much re-watching value, but first time it's nice and light to viewn. Quite enjoyable.
I hope more people could see this series like I do.

| to not repeat what others had said I didn't find the animation all that great. I mean, it's typical cg you can wip up in 3ds max in a week -_-.
To sum up my thoughts, typical dating sim based game, sort of a Green Greeb TV type only with an extra helping of 'generic'.

| WaBoH is a very hard anime. It tries to combine somthing from Air TV/Tsukihime, with love story from other H-game>anime. There is no harem, but then it fails both. The love story is not that good, and the story part could be better. There is potential, but not exploited.

| Not a bad anime overall, but not what I'd call a great anime. I like the mixture of CG and the anime itself. The Sound is also soothing, I found myself really enjoying the soft, fun music. The story is interesting, but not as well executed as it could've been and the ending irritated me, I would've much prefered them being a little clearer with how things ended up. The characters were enjoyable to me. Overall, I didn't mind watching this anime as the episodes were short and it didn't eat up all of my time. The shortness of the episodes was nice because it allowed me to watch an episode here and there spontaneously because they were only about 11 minutes long as opposed to other animes that require a good half hour of free time. It's a fun series to watch inbetween doing other things, but I would'nt recommend witting down to watch it solely for enjoyment.

| I'd have to agree with the other reviews on this one. The characters are flimsy and transparent, the story is full of holes and just flat out confusing, and above all it's just a repeat of every "childhood girl gone missing" you've ever seen. YIKES. However, this anime does have it's perks: the animation is absolutely gorgeous and nearly on par with the series AIR. The music is halfway decent as well. But honestly, what can they strive to accomplish in 12 episodes of 12 minutes? obviously it was too much for them to handle. I wouldn't recommend this series; I can name at least 50 other anime programs you should watch instead of wasting your time with this one. Sorry Minori, no offense, but you screwed up.

| This is one of the few Animes that i disliked... like the anime is ok, but it doesnt really reach the overall standard of being good.
For starters, each episode is only 12 or so mins long... and there are only 13 episodes making this an extremly short Anime (and i thought 24 min, 13 episode animes were short)
Second, the story is slow... very sloooow... its a romance but i dont believe that it should run this slow... The animation is not top quality with a few bugs a found but they did manage to add a few cool looking 3D images.
Characters are not fully developed and they left out quite a bit of the story, yet the sound is decent it doesnt really live up to what its suppose to.
I was looking foward to Wind... and i am disapointed. Its not a BAD anime but a mediocore.
If you like something short and romantic.. then this may be for you, but everyone else. i suggest to look somewhere else.

| This anime isn't totally as bad as everyone rates it. The problem with this anime was that the story didn't flow smoothly. Too many things were left unanswered, and the episodes were way too short. In a sense it almost seemed as if they could've combined 3 episodes into one. The creators could have expanded on the story and had a great anime. I wont spoil the ending either but they didn't exactly close the story up. Perhaps the game that was released might have told the entire story, im not sure i've never played it. I think the OVA did a much better job than the series but not by much. Overall, if you have nothing else to watch check out this series, if your a real anime critic dont check this out because it will dissapoint you.

| Could have been good if they had actually attempted to have an understandable plot. Make the episode length into 20 min. instead of 10, and it could have been a bit better, but the whole childhood friend thing was lame. THe ending was awsome because it was so damn lame, and made no sense at all, I almost wish I had stopped at episode 12, it would have made more sense.

| Hmmm, a tough anime to review. This is really a bit of a mixed bag.
It started off with some horribly crappy first scenes, then decended into a state of boredom when not really much happened apart from the occasional moment that was midly amusing.
At around the three quarter mark, I really started to wonder what the heck is the point of this anime. I think the people who made this must be pondering the same question, cos suddenly the anime suddenly changes direction and actually started to carve out a storyline, unbelievable though it may seem. It was good in one sense, cos it became better, but bad in another, cos the it didn't really match the bulk of the anime at the start. They obviously didn't think the storyline completely through either, cos by the end of it, half the stuff was still unexplained, like what's all this weird special power s stuff that everyone has that seems a bit pointless to me. The storyline was half baked, so it looked like they just smudged over it and spent the last episode playing flashbacks of all the boring stuff. In fact, some bits was so boring that I don't actually remember seeing it, so it actually seemed like the flashback actually contained new material hehe. The ending looked like it was gonna end on a high... but then it just suddenly cut off, and left me thinking "wtf?" Where's the rest of it??
Characters are a bit boring like the story. Sometimes you can see that they are trying hard to hold a conversation that has deep and hidden meanings, but it just end up sounding stupid, cos they chose to use dodgy metaphors doesn't really apply properly to the "deep and hidden meaning" that they are trying get across... like whether or not to rescue a cat for example. LOL that was such a stupid conversation. Character design are poor and inconsistant... I find it hard to see the motivation of a cheerless girl like that dressing up and going that fair thing. The woodeness of how that girl acts most of the time reminds me of the characters in Lain in the first few episodes. The main character also seems to er... under react to everything haha. I'm still puzzled about the whole "everyone has special powers" thing. It seems a bit pointless to me. The way Pantha describes it matches my thinking exactly. But I'm too lazy to repeat what she said in my own words, so just go read hers... :P The character relationships are a bit smudged too. By the end of it I still don't get the relationship between the main character and those girls... why do they look up to him like that??
It's kinda hard to judge this anime as a whole since it gets so different. Most of it is pretty mediocre but just about tolerable then suddenly get almost good towards the end, only to be ruined again by a mainly pointless 13th episode and a very poor finish. In the end it just falls short of being an ALMOST decent anime.

| Wind tries to accomplish too much with too little time and too little resources.
Wind has some nice animation and sounds. But it is noticeable that during some scenes that are zoomed away from characters, some details are really blurred. That said, the CGI effects are one of the best as they blend into the environment quite well.
The story has much potential, but with only 10 min per episode and only 12 episodes available(the last ep is a clip show), the story is too complicated to be making any coherent sense. The viewers can certainly see that the writers are trying really hard to create a dramatic atmosphere, but the discontinuity bewteen episodes and the lack of an understandable of any explanation makes the story unenjoyable.
The characters do not help either, as coming from a dating game, there are too many characters and too little time for them to present any depth at all. Besides the male "hero", there is hardly any good info on the rest of the characters, which is dissappointing, as there are one or two female character that is quite interesting.
This anime has a lot of potential, but fails because of poor execution and planning. If you are interested in this anime, I would recommend to watch Kanon instead, or you will be dissappointed.

| Hmmm... Adapted from an H-game by Minori, it seems that Wind tries to do too much without the resources. Each episode is 12 minutes including the opening animation, and it feels as though there are episodes missing: one episode shows a trailer for "The Wind's Sorrow" but the next episode is "Fate from the Past"; furthermore, the last episode just ends on a cliffhanger.
The animation is pretty nice, and the generous use of CGI gives it a unique look, with the parallax effects when panning. The sound is decent, and the OP is pretty nice.
As for the story, the first part of the show, with a slice-of-life romance is nice, but the later parts try to cram in too much - you don't realise that everyone has special powers and they all know they do until really late, and that comes out as quite a lapse in storytelling. There is a convoluted plot vaguely sketched by some of the later episodes, but they pretty much don't matter at all. The last episode continues the romance but then ends abruptly. It feels like they ran out of money or something. The pacing is really slow and the more interesting characters don't turn up much.
Watch Kanon instead.

| I was very disappointed by Wind -a breath of heart-. Despite my high expectations, it turned out to be nothing but one cliche after another with stilted and awkward dialogue, flat characters, and a practically nonexistent plot. It alleviated some boredom and was mildly interesting but was not at all suspensful or overly intriguing.

| I didn't play the game, so the story didn't work out for me. I'm sure this anime was not show for regular people. It for the people who played the game before. Even you got some idea in the game, you might want to beat the game first to watch this anime.
The anime itself is hella short. 10 per ep. min is no fun. The mood change too fast, you'll see at first there's no story and just fun fun fun. Then come at last 3 ep. where all the details and complex explaination came out. I even have to pause and read all the transaltion since it a bit hard to understand what's going on. The anime should do a regular time like other H-Games-base anime. The story can expan out to even a 26 ep. like da capo. or you can do a regular 10 ep. with 25 min. like popotan. I think they just want to be like nobody, that's why they choose to do only 10 min. Everything is great, it just that if you havn't play the game, it too short to be a good anime. But I'm sure if you play the game(and already cleared it) then you'll find this extra animation pretty nice memories.

| "Wind A breath of harth" the title sounded soo interesting so beeing out of any animes i decided to give it a try... well i can't say i'm very dissapointed, i never actually gave it to many chanches after viewing the first episode and i knew right away this was gonna be a short harem/romance/comedy anime with zero originality, little logic and lots of cute girls and fanservice.
Now i might not be a big fan of bishoujo but i have to say the animation was pretty good, cute, fluent and colorfull and the OST was also aproppiate.
I knew right away from episode one this was gonna be one of those harem-1guy-6girls ratio/comedy/ecchi/romance when the childhood girl friend came to wake up the lazy main hero, just like in Kono Minikukumo and Girls Bravo, and i was right... it was that genre with the same amount of fanservice, stupidity, and zero originality... "he hole childhood promise"and "he old all the girls have feelings for one normal looking guy" are nothing new.
It combines thelove/comedy type with the fantasy/superpower type, and as expected from all the Bishoujo animes who want to look deep and different in totally fails... just like "Kono Minikukumo", "Nasuchiro na Sunadokei" and "Hani Hani" did... and just like in those two we find a plot with potential... but one wich really fails in all ways due to the worthless dialogues, the giant plot holles, the omnipresent logighal mistakes, the really imposible events and the total faillure to focus the main flow of story on what's and who's important...
As an example of the luck of logic just look at the hole Hikari-guardian-churse story.... how dumb is that?? And how did the girls get superpowers? nothing is explained and i dought they could have made it in a good manner...
And the proof of the incoherent story developement just think about it, they wanna develop a story in just 13 small 12 minutes episode and yet the give half of the show to some secondary characters for an unneeded developement.
As for the characters?? the main character is as bland in looks and in personality as all, all the main characters of this genre, they all have the same hair style, good harth, and they always have to be surrounded by cute girls that have feelings for them... and about Hikari? did anyone notice what a big ripp-off after Rei's Evangelion she is?? same mysterious and full of philosophy personality, she also has some special blood in her and looks just like Rei, same hair color and style, same skin same red eyes.... overall all the characters are ripp-offs and luck the most basicoriginality and i really culdn't care at all about any of them.
Overall a really uninteresting, ilogic, badlly played out, unfocused, undecided, exagerated, shoujo anime that wants to be serious and deep but clearly fails to deliver... DO NOT WATCH IT... the only good thing about it it's that it was short and really didn't waist to much of my time.

| I had high hopes for this but after watching it (all 13 episodes and the pointless 13th recap episode) in all it's 10 minute glory of each episode.
Anyways, the animation is beautiful and very fluid. Characters are nicely drawn and cute.
Then comes the story. I"m sorry but it's quite pointless, like "To Heart" pointless. The story had a somewhat ok starting point but as the series unfolds, it starts to pull ideas out of the wind and will lose alot of viewer even more as it twists and turns into a baffling story at about episode 9 or 10.
Then comes the ending. It could have gracefully ended the series in the 13th episode but they figured somehow to make it a recap episode, even though the whole series is under 1 1/2 hours long! Did they think we'd forget already? Yes, I know it airs once a week, but come on! Even Ranma with it's 7 seasons at half and hour each didn't have any recaps!
To put it bluntly, it was nice eye candy but it fell short big time.

| Perhaps it was the title, but I had high expectations for this anime. Fortunately for me, however, I read the many negative reviews for this series and my expectations lowered considerably. I then started to expect a mediocre work. Therefore, because the anime met my low expectations by creating a new height of suck, I'm not disappointed in the slightest.
Trite, hackneyed, and boring, the most exciting thing about the story is that my yawns of heart managed to score a twelve on the Beaufort Scale. In thirteen episodes, absolutely nothing happens. In fact, there is very poor narration in this. In the beginning, the group of friends are having a conversation about their "special skills." The blue-haired girl claims she can create wind and the red-haired girl says she can jump very high. (Forgive me for not remembering their names. I assure you, they're not worth remembering.) I really didn't think much of this. I thought they were just fooling around. Well, it turns out that Blue-Hair can really create wind and Red-Head can really jump high. When I found out that the aforementioned conversation was actually serious, I'm thinking, "Wait a minute, wait a minute. Hold up. You mean to tell me this crap is supposed to be normal? Where did they get these 'powers,' anyway?" Had that particular conversation been executed in a less offhand way, I would have been prepared for X-men wannabes. As it is though, the supernatural tendencies just came off as cheesy.
Mixed right in with the cheese factor, are the characters and nearly non-existent "œromance." As to be expected from a harem anime, the characters are as hackneyed and boring as you can get. I think we know the line-up by now: girls with an intelligence of a gnat and a guy with the personality of a brick wall. Its only saving grace is that there is no PFwL present. This anime had potential. A "story" about two childhood friends reunited could have been something, well, good. But like nearly all harem, there is nothing redeemable in this. At around episode ten, the series pulls off a joker's wild and viewers are tortured by blather. In episode ten and eleven, the focus is on a minor character: Stoic-Girl. Because I couldn't have cared less about this character (or anyone else in the series), spending two whole episodes on her didn't work well with me. And the blather about "reality" and "legends" only made it worse.
This anime could have been better, but like nearly all anime of this kind, it's not worth watching. Its claim to fame is that you would only suffer for twelve minutes. Not only that, but add the fact that Ai Yori Aoshi and Boys Be did this and better and you have a show that should be avoided at all costs.

| Man I was soooo looking forward to this... I really thought this was going to be the Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien of the year 2004. Then I realized it was only 13 episodes...and each ep was only 13 minutes. From then on I set my sights pretty low for this.
A shorter time frame for each ep equates to lesser plot, lesser character development, basically a weaker anime.
Animation: Wow something refreshing for a change. Although the character designs look very generic (and Makoto looks like a dweeb), this anime employs something I call "parallelax scrolling" where they use computer cgs to scroll the background along with the character. It`s something new that I really liked. Watch the first episode to see what I`m talking about. Anyways...colors look bright, and running animation ain`t half bad.
Sound: Top-notch. The OP was very addictive, seeing how it was from Tenmon (Beyond the Clouds). Soothing instrumentals and three different remixes of the "Dream" them from the game makes music an A in my book.
Story: Meh. With only a total of 144 minutes to work with, there wasn`t enough time to make a deep and engaging story, even though the game offered much in terms of a plot. If it was a FULL thirteen episode series like KGNE, then this would have had a sugoi story. We only know a little about Hikari, and a little about Makoto`s past, and a little bit about Minamo. They were trying to tell too much in to little time. Well at least the last 3 episodes tried for a deus ex machina ending. It kinda worked, but the emotions weren`t there.
Characters: It would have been nice if they concentrated only on two of the female bishoujo`s, (Hikari and Minamo) then trying to get a bit of each of the 6 girls some screentime. There`s the blonde girl, her friend, Minamo, Hinata, Shiiuoen, and Hikari. None of them were developed well, but the 13th episode duelved on Minamo, so at least she was developed somewhat. This anime looked like it was only made for players of the game.
Value: All in all, Wind ~A Breath of Heart~ was a severe disappointment. I wanted more plot, more drama, and more angst from the main guy. Tsutomu was probably the best, since his weird crackly voice makes me laugh every time he`s on screen.
Enjoyment: I still liked Wind. Even though it was a bit short, and the story rushed and paced badly, I liked the parallelax scrolling and the 13th episode. Minamo with her hair down looks the best!

| Another random download, among with "Tsuki wa higashi ni hi wa nishi ni." I always got confused between these two anime because of similar storylnes and characters. The funny thing is, they both start in the same manner, that the main character has to be waken up by a girl. And of course, the main guy hangs with a bunch of girls, too!! As I mentioned in my "Hani Hani" post, "Wind" is beyond nonsense. Why? Because of this anomalous character: Hikari. It also somehow reminds me of "This Ugly and Beautiful World," which is another crappy anime and in a somehow similar manner. Viewers should've notice the blimp that flow around the city in some episodes. I thought this is just the symbol of the city and doesn't even contribute to the story, surprisingly, it does, and it is something that beyond belief.
People around the city is somehow affected by the prophecy of the city. I wonder, if such a prophecy, as stated in the series, that the town people believes, then why do they want to stay in this haunted city? This is way beyond me and completely doesn't make any sense. Again, as mentioned a million times: Since this is anime, it is safe to assume that it can happened in the story, and we shall move to the plot and see how this concept contribute to it.
When I watched the first episode, I thought this is going to be a typical romantic comedy, that uses some sidekicks to develop the relationship between Makoto and Minamo. When Hikari comes in, I thought she can hamper this relationship, and I thought it can be very good when it comes to finale. However, it wasn't as expected. I wonder what Makoto's thinking at later episodes. The whole story starts from focusing Minamo to focusing Hikari at the end. The ending leaves viewers to nowhere: Eventhough the city is safed and "back to reality," we don't know what happen between Makoto and Minamo, which I thought that's supposed to be the main plot. It ends with a question to Makoto at episode 13: Does Makoto really in love with Minamo, or he just plain being nice to her? That's everyboby's guess, and we can never see if their promised can be fulfilled or not. That's another reason why I deeply disappointed in this anime. Eventhough it tries to be mysterious, it actually doesn't work very well. I believe their relationship is just started from the beginning again.
In general, another anime that's for viewers who loves anime gals. Unless you like Bishoujo anime, I will not recommend this series in anyway.

| What can i say about this anime? from the start it looks like it could be a potentially good anime, with a superb OST and some decent animation (abelit i hated the CG though).
But the story though... though it looks like a run-of-the-mill Highschool drama/romance it is somethign more complicated and it is actually more of a magical/fantasy drama than anythign else. The characters were somewhat annoying, not only character design wise but their personalities didn't inteterest me (only Hikari, Hinata and the funny guy interested me).
The main annoying thing about this anime is the plotholes and also incohesive direction, there are many parts which don't make sense and forces the viewer to figure it out him/herself.
For a 12 minute per episode program, i guess they can had to cram tons of stuff in with the alloted time but still it is no excuse to cut off bits for viewers who hasn't played the H-game. (which this anime was based on).
Granted, i may be slating this which is somewhat a 'watchable' anime, there is one nice thing i liked about Wind, how it ended. Its a nice change from the normal highschool romance style where the guy ALWAYS gets the girl and the end quote is a good one to look out for. Shame however, in the actual episodes itself there were few opportunities to develop the relationship between Hikari and Minamo.
Good special conclusion, good OST and somewhat decent animation can't stop this from being quite terrible. Had potential.
Overall, 5/10
