At first I thought this was going to be one of those harems like Shuffle or Da capo but i was wrong. It's actually quite nice, because of its quality animation, character, and music.

I did enjoy this anime quite fairly until we got to the end which disappointed me in story wise but ending wise was good. Yet again in another harem story the girl who i think should be hooked up the with the main male character never happens.

It says that there are 17 episodes but I only found 13. I would like to know where i can find the last 4 episodes. Also I really don't know why they made episode 13, because it's just a recap of the 12 episodes.

I don't like the dating game based anime very much because it often ruins the original story. Generally speaking, the dating game is multi-story; the story is changed by the player's choice, and each story describes the profile of each female character. However, because the anime must be one way, the stories of female characters other than the main are perfunctory. It always makes me disappointed especially if I like the game.

However, because I hadn't played the game, it amused me very much. It is often the case for the dating game based anime; the most of the episodes are spent to describe the each character. Each episode is funny and pleasant one, and gradually it is approaching to the truth. I think it lacks the description of the main character a little, but the story may be settled safely. But I miss the other character's ending. There might be people who think 12 minues x 13(12) episodes are too short, but it is optimum length for me.

The female character are cute, but I don't like their design. The eyes are too large.

Because I’m not interested in the music, I abstain from voting for sound. By the way, I don't like the voice of Midorikawa Hikaru who plays as the main character, his voice sounds affected to me.

Well, it's not bad but not great either. Too bad I've already seen Wind ~a breat of heart~ that series got a little dark complex at then end while this series focus on happy ending instead of going to darkness plot. Really thou, if I havn't watch Wind yet, I might enjoy this more but now that I watch both, I must say I liked both series. Wind for having a good+cool+surpise+dark plot and Hani Hani for variety+happy-ending. Good thing I like these kind of things so I accept the plot without boredom. It's good watch it, btw: ep.13 was just a review so ready to face the real ending at ep.12 :D have fun.

Another average romance anime. The animation is pretty good and the voice cast really gets their job done (Did you know that the JPop singer Hitomi did the voice of Chihiro!).

The story is pretty stock, with the first half introducing every girl available since it is base off a dating game. The second half is done admirably well, something where other 10min romance anime struggles. The last episode is just a clip show and can be ignored. The story at the end can be explained better though as we still don't know what happened to the future world.

The characters are all very flat with the adorable cousin, the caring childhood friend, a cute girl from outer space, a really hot teacher... But the male protagonist is pretty well done at the end.

You will enjoy this anime as long as you dont expect any fan service or any deep romance relationship to be developed.

Above average, thats how I would descibre this one. It's not bad, but it's no shinning star either. The story takes a pretty large twist about halfway through and makes the first half seem like 6 or 7 episodes of filler. But on the other hand character development was decent, but none were developed in depth. The animation is on par with most and the sound is not bad. Because the episodes are only about 12 minutes long it's not painful to sit down for a few hours and watch the whole series. Overall, if your out of ideas or have a few hours of free time, this isn't a bad watch, just don't be expecting anything groundbreaking.

Coming out at practically the same time as Wind ~Breath of Heart ~ TV series (5/10), Hani Hani and Wind were practically rivals with the same genre and same premise. A highscool drama/romance.

Good points, superb animation with a very good OSt to boot. The first 3/4 of the show were pretty well made Highschool filler-esque entertainment, this was what Hani Hani should be about, a no story entertaining 12/13 episode tv series. Though some episodes were boring and others were somewhat light-hearted fun, it then aruptly bought up a story plot...

Bad point, the Story plot, the way thigns were going a story wasn't needed to make this tv series somewhat decent. But no, by the last few episodes they decided to add in some sucky plot about time travelling and a virus with very few references of it during the whole series before they announced it. Unneeded, explained too fast, very coincidental and the did the viewer care? i sure as hell didn't.

This anime made me mad, what could have been a decent highschool anime (with very mild touches of romance which didn't bother me too much), turned out sour with the main flaw in its unneccessary. Characters were generally fine, designs were well made with very little development but it didn't bother me with the anime this size. Relations between Honami and Kuzumi were generally fine but not fleshed out but nothing too much to complain about because i didn't think this anime was built for a romance genre.

Overall, terrible unneeded plot with some boring episodes made this potentially-decent anime turn terrible. Same level as Wind, both having bad points with potential good points which were never fulfilled. If i had to pick one of those two, Hani would be my choice.. just.

Overall, 5/10
Grade: D+

Hmmmmmm....airing in the same half hour block as Wind ~A Breath of Heart~ TV, I did NOT have high expectations for this. Never heard of the game, never even knew this existed until I downloaded Wind. Well, it turned out to be pretty average, with once again the short time frame killing an otherwise intriguing story.

Naoki was more of a pimp than Makoto though.

Animation: Definately on the low side. But still, even with such a low animation budget, they still made decent visuals and pretty shoujos, although they looked a like. Running animation was top notch, and I liked the facial expressions.

Sound: Once again, the OP song was excellent, and very catchy sounding. The anime barely had any music for the first half of the series, but when they finally got into the "time" arc of the story, the music kicks off with full instrumentals and soothing orchestrals. Quite a contrast, I must say. Episode 13, like Wind, was a filler, but that episode had the most music compared to all the rest. Nice BGMs, at least they played the right music at the right time.

Story: Once again, the time frame screwed the pacing of what potentially could have been a great story. Let`s see...they wasted half of the 12 episodes on little quirks of each of the 6 girls, then they rush the serious bits of the "time" arc so fast that it almost became cheesy. Ending felt rushed, but at least it was happy. First time I`ve seen a marriage happen in anime for a long time.

Character: Naoki was a pimp. So was Yuusuke. But no time was spent on character development. Honami was so spineless that I wanted to slap her to see if she actually could feel pain. The short teacher was the coolest. (kawaii!!!) The obligatory gay buddy only appeared for like 3 episodes, so the anime takes a hit there. Well, at least there`s lots of bishoujos to oogle at.

Value: I place this anime at about the same value as Wind ~A Breath of Heart~ TV. Both were too short, story paced too quirky, but both had nice music and animation. Maybe if I had played the games first I would have liked this more.

Enjoyment: If you liked Wind tv, you`ll most likely like Hani Hani also. It`s like watching To Heart, but with a little more drama and action.

Huh... this one started like any other sweet and simple romantic love triangle story and by episode 8 ended up into a sf, not a really good idea.

Why did they try the same formula as in "Natsuichiro na Sunadokei", i don't know but it really resembles it, both have sweet character design with big eye cute girls in cute uniforms with exagerated childish and innocent voices, with only good characters that wanna help out, with a paradisiac depiction of school and about the same stupidity and carelesness to detail.

What is up with the small homeroom teacher, she's about half the size of her students and she looks like a 5 years old, the hole Mikoto's brother-time machine-virus story isn't to logic and detailled, just like SouSou said so i won't get into detailles with that.

I only watched it cose there wasn't anything to download, and i didn't enjoy it at all, well you could watch this if you're under 12 years old cose it's shure for kids. The biggest mistake this anime has done is that it has combined two anime genres that just can't go well together "the sweet, really cute, childish and logic free romantic type: with "the SF" and it just doesn't go well at all.

A random download, together with "Wind, A Breath of Heart." After I watched all 13 episodes of this romance anime, I started to wonder why I started to download this anime in the first place. It was pure romance at the start, but later on, it surprisely turned into a science friction. I thought it's going to be the love triangle between Naoki, Honami, and Mikoto. However, werid concept of this anime is made completely no sense to me and way too sudden. When Mikoto falls from the sky at the first episode, I completely wasn't expect the plot goes like what it presented here and I was expected a completely different ending. The relationship between Naoki and Mikoto's brother are completely make no sense to me. I thought they just look the same or something. At the very beginning, a guy who wears like a magician leaves some mystery to the story but later reveal that he has something to do with Mikoto. And what's with the "Travel Lost in Time" explainations? As I mentioned a million times, since this is anime, it is safe to assume that it is possible, and we shall move on to how the plot develop in accord to this idea.
The main story has not revealed at the earlier episodes. It only focuses on the romance. The relationship developed between Naoki and all the girls around him. Suddenly, a mysterious person made a twist of the story, from pure romance to science friction, and the storyline seem changed so suddenly. Now it's not about love anymore, it's more about saving lives. What's with the "saving someone with a time machine" method? It doesn't make any sense.
Despite the nonsensical and obtuse storyline, the ending is kind of pull up the score of the story and "save" the wreckage at the beginning. The finale had made the beginning part more reasonable. Unlike "Wind, A Breath of Heart," The storyline are beyond nonsense. Dispite the negative thing I mentioned in "Hani Hani" it was an OK, but below average anime to watch.

If you like anime gals and romance, feel free to check it out. Otherwise, I don't recommend this anime in general.

I wonder how this anime got a high rating? Let me just tell you readers, straightout that this is a horrendous anime. A very short lengthed anime consisting of 12-13 episodes long and each episode is about 12 minutees long. So a short anime will get a short review. Seriously, I can think of much much better anime than this one. Hani Hani is like the carbon copy of Wind-Breath of Heart. Rushed plot, and not enough development for the characters. To get more details, please just read the rest of my review.
