| Nitaboh is an anime with all the excitement of a rubix cube. It's quite colorfull, slightly stimulating, than excruciatingly boring and a waste of time to finish. I really wasn't impressed with this anime and wouldn't suggest it unless your REALLY bored and just want to pass the time away with a 90 minute movie.

| NItaboh has a lot of historical features in it. There are tons and tons of historical stuff which is made quite viewable in this anime. Though the story is straightforward, and slightly boring for those who do not like the histroy part, the animation and sound are top notch.
Animation is very very good in this anime. The water animation is 3D CG, the bachround is so vivid, and pleasant to watch. It really gives lots of sense that it depics reality as how it was suppose to be.
The sound is stunning. You will never hear better sonuds of Shamisen and other japanese ethnic music in any anime. This anime is catered to the sound. The seiyuu do not disappoint.
There is nothing for me to say about the story. The description tells everything from beginning till the end and slightly spoils the story. Good thing that there is no way to describe the music.
Characters are very good. Each character depeics the current role in the time an era. the female blind shamisen, the waterman etc, are all true depictions. The main character is good, though this anime is not really showcasing the character strength but trying to cramp in every histroical detail in this anime.
This anime is a very good 1hour40mins movie. The only problem is that it will not appeal to those who do not like historical settings, and hate shamisen music. The rest of te people could easily swallow this anime.
