| i have many things to say about hanaukyo maid team its funny perverted and was really sad and touching on the last 4-5 episodes of the series .for some odd and strange reason i really didnt like the first one but i sure love the second one .
animation- this is a 2004 anime and well the animation qwas very good and the character design was also very nice.the first thing the mansion looked awesoem and the bathroom was drawn good and so on.the girl characters were all very attractive and had nice character design except for the triplets i thought they had a ugly design and its three of them.
sound- mthe oppening was a nice song but i prefered the ending were the triplets sung that song was more cathcy and rememerable.
story- for a eechi series thje plot is basically guy goes in house full of a kajillion maids and well they fondle and do whatever they please if it satisfys the mater and oh boy do they want to satisy him alooot to bad he does not want them to and hes only interested in one made marielle but she is only ment to serve him.
charcter- this cast is full of psychotic and sexy maid characters.i really like ikuyo the pyschotic nerd inventer maid. but my av character was yashimo the pyscho lesbian character in the show she is funny and quit a fighter toward the end of the series and her fantays about konoe are hiolarious.mariel was ok i thought that she needed some more energy.konoe was cool and was great with a sword.
enjoyment- this is the best eechi anime that i have seen its funny loaded with nudity and a psychotic cast full of maids wats not to like.

| This is a short, bad harem with moderate ecchi. Any numbers I use are guesses/approximations in this review. 4 foot tall, 12 year old wimp inherits a huge mansion stocked full of young, beautiful maids serving various functions. He is the only male in the entire series. The head maid is the one with blue hair and seems 30 yrs old and at least a foot taller than the protagonist. Her long hair alone is about his height. Over the course of the series the develop a crush, which is gross considering the age and height difference. She even has a 30 yr old voice.
The protagonist of course has no redeeming features other than that he is kind of nice, as usual in harems. This one is truly a scrawny shrimp though. For all but the last few eps there is no story here. When some story and conflict finally does develop, even that doesn't catch the viewer's attention. The first many eps are silly antics and contests, and introducing this and that character.
Sound is almost nonexistent, as the only songs I recall are the OP and ED. OP is cheesy, but ED is kind of cute and is sung by 3 triplets from the series who are one of the few highlights. Many times I actually watched it instead of skipping it. The triplets look identical+sexy and I found their scenes enjoyable whenever they came on, good ecchi too. A few other characters are okay, but the two leads bugged me a lot. And it's tough to have a decent series when that's the case.
There are a lot of series in this genre one should see before this one. Love Hina, Shuffle, Maburaho, Girls Bravo even. Not recommended at all, and the fansub I had was not done in .avi, therefore when I watched in fast forward the subs overlapped--always annoying. You can watch this in 2x or 4x and not miss a thing. It's just bad; don't put yourself through it but at least it's short, albeit pointless and a waste. Girls Bravo is similar but better on all counts unless you have a strong fetish for maids.

| Okay, I've previously watched Hanaukyo Maid Tai, a shown wich consists of ecchi and... well.. more ecchi. Expectations for what I had heard was more or less a remake was low, but nonetheless, I felt like I should give give it a try. I'm glad I did.
Basically, they took what was nice in the previous one (the characters and uhm.. that's basically it I guess) and and then remade the rest, including having an actual storyline.

| Ok..Not praising the anime and not going to insult it either. It's a basic all girls love one guy type of anime. However, the guy IS a junior high student which complicates the relationship(but don't think too hard about it lol). The anime brings nothing new and plays upon the old in my opinions. It probably fits most of any common guys' fantasies lol. Hundred of girls and yourself, and every girl willing to satisfy your every desires. None the less the anime does have its touching moments. Let see what does it have.. ecchi-yes, romance-somewhat, action-kinda(near the end)..
over all the anime is decent. It might make a good time killer at best. Let says it's one of those anime that you can watch as you are waiting for the next release of a great anime. As i said before I'm not praising it nor insulting it. This is of my personal opinions.

| I guess the makers were kind of stuck between making this more of a comedy or more of the typical maid-ecchiness. I never saw the original one and supposedly that one has far more ecchi and probably less of a story. So with nothing to base it upon, other than other maid anime, I had to say that this was decent at best. Some parts were funny but it gets old later on and they tend to go over the limit. It would have been better to focus on the main two characters more rather than try to conclude the series with a little bit of drama. It should have been more about Mariel and Tarou from the start and less spotlight on the likes of Ryuuka and Yoshina. I thought the triplets were cute, but again, they are mainly there for fan service and it gets old. I wouldn't really recommend it since there are better maid series out there but not by much. Again, decent at best and only a few episodes are really worth watching.

| "You can't go wrong with hot maids," I said. But too much of a good thing (or, in this case, not enough) tends to ruin everything. Had this been a straight adult anime, my opinion would've been a lot more forgiving.

| La Verite had 12 ep. and is an alternate version of the original Hanaukyo Maid-Tai. This is not sequal or prequal to anything.
I watched the original show back then and I have to tell you, I don't remeber shit. All I saw were massive ecchiness with boobs and MORE! then maybe i stop watching it or just trash it.
La Verite is a clone made from the original show with less echii and try to be a 'better' show. Althou they remove some of the boobs off it's still very ecchi for it's genes. You'll see boobs pretty much every ep. and they don't even brother to censor anything.
The Art really irratate on this one. We thought this gonna more detail and then maybe make the all the maid looks cuter or something. But instead the chars art got worst. Mariel looks like a robot which I think they try to confuse us with the plot that Mariel maybe a robot?! but still they should've made her looks(her sharp hair) more smooth and femine. Beside Mariel is everything in this show, we watch this cuz we like Mariel otherwise this show got no point being air on TV.
2 ep. plot, mystery begin, solve within 4 ep. so there's any tense to be excite about. Even this is a comedy, I found it's more like a drama with bodies sexual comedy so not many jokes envolves.
La Verite is the one you want to watch from all the 'Maid-Tai' series. Atleast they manange a fair presentation. Watch it once, if you don't like it, trash it.
EDIT: eek i forgot that only 'La Verite' was licened and the original one is not. Too bad i guess you guy have any choices.. well it's not that diff anyway. Peace!

| Before I start my review I have to say that I am surprised by Nana's observation, and if you have seen Azumanga then you can almost immediatly compare the couple Yashima and Konoe to Kaoru and Sakaki.
Anyway... the animation in this series is close to top notch.
The sound, I have to say, fits the anime quite well. I just loved the ending theme, it was very cute.
The story is just a bucket of fun, and so are the characters.
Overall, this anime did start off like a funfilled adventure, and towards the end got a little more serious with Mariel and Tarou. Don't get me wrong though, it is still loads of fun. So, if you want an anime that is absolutely hilarious with a little bit of ecchi and romance, what this! A+!

| Color me Surprised.
This anime totally shocked me. I was not expecting it to be so frickin' good! I thought that this would be an ecchi filled, Love Hina type of show. Actually there was some drama in it, but it is mainly fun filled. Personaly I thought that this was a great anime. There definitly wasn't as much ecchi as I was expecting, and it was highly enjoyable. Some of the parts were very funny, some touching, but nonetheless kept me entertained. The characters are great, and I give tops to Konoe as she seemed very well developed. Now on to my review...
Animation- The animation is very good in this series. Some scenes did not flow well however, and it seemed a bit jumpy. Like in the opening theme >> However all the rest of the times it was very, very clear and good. The colors are extremely bright, something that will capture your attention and make you want to keep watching. The backgrounds are very bright and captivating. The art style is extremely cute.
Sound- The sound isn't really my style, but I loved it anyway. I thought it was very catchy, especcially the ending theme. Sound effects were average, but there wasn't much going on for there to BE alot of sound effects. Japanese voice acting seemed very good, and I liked it. I watched it in Japanese instead of English.
Story- I haven't seen many episodes yet, but so far the story seems like a load of fun, yet serious at times. I'm sure that this is going to go SOMEWHERE, and I can see a dramatic ending happening in the near future, or something. Originality is not good. It is a typical maid anime, yet it seems to be a little bit more...
Character- Character designs and personalities were very good. I loved Konoe, and I thought she was a very good character. Anyway, there are typical personalities, kind girl, overly hyper girl that likes to kill people, shy cute girl, strange girl, girls that like the grope the main character, lesbian girl, samurai girl, all there. What more could you want?

Update- I am liking this more and more. Now I have seen episode 1-8. I can DEFINITLY tell this is going somewhere, after seeing episode 7 and 8. It is actually starting to get freaky. I always new Mariel seemed a bit strange, but now I know for sure something about her is hidden... kinda scary if you ask me.

Now anyway, I noticed something about this anime, and I'm sure you have noticed it too. Can anyone see a great resemblance between Yashima and Kaorin from Azumanga Daioh? The short uneven hair cut, (which is exactly the same) her secret admiration for an older, silent, strong girl who has a knack for cute things. (The episode with Fenrir revealed that side of Konoe) I seriously thought that was freaky. Konoe and Yashima resemble Kaorin and Sakaki greatly. Just a thought... and Ryuka is just too much like Rabi-en-Rose.

| Just my opinion M.O.E needs to stick with what it does best and thats Ecchi.
I went into La Verite with a open mind. I loved Hanaukyo Maid and think its the best, I knew it's was a seprate stroy all together and would not be the same but I did not expect it to be just so AWFU.
They took all that was funny about Hanaukyo Maids and made a CRAPPY love story. This is such a disappointment. The first was pure fun no heavy boring drama LIKE THIS HAD that was just so cheesy, boring and god awful, no sappy crappy music which this had A LOT OF IT. The first one was just trying to have fun. La verite was a failure for me in every category. By the end of it I was so bored with it I thanked god it was over

| I can't help but to compare this to Hanaukyo Maid-tai which I saw before this. The characters are equally likable and the music is also very similar. The animation is a couple notches better though. The real change is in the story, which is much more balanced and comes to a more complete conclusion (that is to say, it actually has an ending). However, the level of ecchiness and comedy was toned down in this one, and that was largely what I enjoyed about the other series. If I had to choose only one, it'd be the other series because it is simply more fun. However this series is better from a story perspective. Essentially if you enjoy one, watch the other.

| This is the sequal for Hanaukyo Maid-tai, which is similar to the first series. It was more like a repetion, with some small differences. I really enjoyed the first part more than the second one, but if you seill want a good laugh and watch some more Hanaukyo Maid, then i recommend this one for you. The animation is different too, Tarou actually have big eyes in this sequal. The rest of the characters are still the same.
The sound is alright, the openning and closing music are different too. The characters have the same personality, but you actually get to know more about Mariel and Konoye.

| I've heard that this is supposed to be a remake of Hanaukyo Maid Tai but from what i can see Hanuakyo Maid La Verite can stand on its own. Sure there are parts which are taken from S1 but overall its a good watch.

| A fair amount of ecchi and mildly funny comedy and good character designs, I consider this to be a fun anime to watch without reservations. If you don't expect heavy dialog with collosal action or romance then this will be pleasant to watch.

| After Seeing Hanaukyo maid tai(first season) and this anime, I have to say that this is better than that. The plot is better, though some of it taken directly from the Maid tai and changed slightly here.
Well its not that comedy, I like S1 more than S2. Here its less, ecchi is less, that I don't mind.
Nice to see, but only serious anime junkies that like Maid anime like mahoromatic, DearS, Hand Maid May will like it. But seriously Mahoromatic is way better than this.

| People say remake, i say this is the REAL original story adapted from the manga. I have watch the manga first then watch the anime version, the story are very close to manga. The first anime version was using character from the manga but in a different story telling ways ( alot of ecchi added...) while this second version is follow the manga more ("La Verite" mean real, original, i can see it why.) The humor in this series althought the same in the manga but they did add a few new humor like cosplay of Hellsing! and Chobits ( Tanaka Rie play the voice for Chii too!). I like this series too bad only 12 episodes... Watch the manga if you like to see the continue development of the story.

| I recently watched the original Hanaukyo Maid Tai, and then decided to see if this remake was better or not.
They have given the animation some improvements, as well as now doing 25minutes eps instead of 15 as it was before.
The music is more or less the same I think, or more like it have the same theme. In other words, nothing really special about it, but good enough.
I didn't like the "new" Mariel, as her face is pressed, too oval, and the new haircolour doesn't really suit her.
Now why does this matter? Well, she is a pretty important character, and also the one I like the most, so I'm a bit dissapointed at those points.
At first, in the first few episodes, I thought they maybe rushed everything, as many of the events happening in later episodes(in the original series) were all pressed into the first two episodes.
However, this was changed pretty fast, and didn't bother me too much.
The original series was not very serious, more like a 95-100% comedyonly show. But this remake becomes more "serious" later, and if you ask me if that's good or bad... then I might say that I would have liked it to be more like the original.
They are also throwing in some action and more dramatical scenes later, which I found boring.
Overall then, this anime have good animation, ok sound, story is good enough(except the attemps to be too dramatic later). It have good characters and high enjoyment.
If I were to choose either this or the original, then I might take the original for it's comedy, but since this is so much longer, I would probably be this one.

| Wow this anime has it all. The first hanukyo maid tai was left with an unopen ending and the main character had his eyes closed all the time in the first one which reallie irritated me. But in "la verite" they managed to fix all of those (opened Tauro's eyes). I was surprised how deep the plot went, I thought it was just gonna be fanservice fun, but it had great development. It had comedy and it has a lot of fanservice in the in a couple of episodes. Then also the action scenes, they were actually pretty cool. The opening and closing themes were pretty average, no catchy tunes (well to me). Te ending could have been a little more closed, and i doubt there will be a sequal, but if there were it would fit right in with this series. ALSO! did you know that the voice actor of Tauro is the same person that plays Fuji off of Prince of Tennis.

Though the producers claim this is just a remake of the original story, the second half of the seires is totally different from the first one. The second half mainly focuses on Mariel and Tarou, which is good, because it does produce some really good suspense and drama, but a huge let down is the anti-climatic ending that makes all the dramatic build-up wasted. Another reason is there are a lot of useless characters, such as Ryuuka or the girl that has a crush on Tsurugi, I found those not funny and does not contribute to the story. If the producers take those out and use those times to build on Mariel, Konoye and Tarou, the story would've much better.
Still this is a notch better than the original version, much better animation, Rie Tanaka has done a great job as Mariel again and her OP theme rocks! The ecchi is still here, and it still has the original magic coupled with a slightly better story at the end.

| Wow, not a bad anime. I watched the first version of this anime and thought that it wasn't very impressive, but La Verite actually manages to (through all that ecchi-ness) bring out the design and the feelings of the characters, especially in the fourth and fifth episodes.
This actually surprised me. I thought that La Verite would just be a remake, but I was wrong. Though it starts in roughly the same place, the episodes are actually quite different after the 1st or 2nd.
You should definitely see this anime. Although some parts of it are ecchi, it does have a sort of "slice of life" quality to it like Fruits Basket. I would go as far to say that there even appears to be a moralistic, heart-warming quality to some parts of it. Again, it gets a lot better by the 4th episode, less randomness and more development.
A great watch.
