UFO Princess Valkyrie 2 is a carbon-copy of season 1. Really not much has changed. All the characters are there with the addition of another princess from that planet they're all from. Same basic story although S2 gets a little more serious at the end. All the fun, fanservice, and jokes that you've come to either love or hate.

The 2nd season of Valkyire is still full of cute characters, pretty girls, fan-service, and laughs. With a bad omen looming in the very 1st episode, it is trying to be a bit more serious than the previous season. Still, there are plenty of ridiculous events along with their efforts to save Valhalla. It should be watched with the same attitude towards the 1st season: dont expect anything new, but do look forward to getting a lot fun and eye candies.

Too bad they didn't show us the remain princesses, so 3 princesses erm... 7 now still remain hidden in the deep story waiting for more season to review their wonderful story.... HOPE TO SEE SEASON 3 SOOOOOOOOOOOOON!!!!_!!!!

Unlike the first season, this season actually has a story that runs from the first scene to the ending. Whether this actually improves the season or not is not entirely clear (for me, at least). The story just felt... well... not very appealing to me. And as a result of this serious story, the comedy is dropped several notches. Also, the transformation scenes gets more and more frequent as we have not only Valkyrie and Hydra transforming but also Valkyrie Ghost and Akidora.

The good side to having a story is that viewers don't get bored in the middle like the first season. Also, the fanservice is tuned down compared to the first season. On the other hand, several episodes at the beginning focuses on a somewhat minor character (Chorus), which I find a little boring. I also liked the ending of the first season somewhat more. Overall, I like the first season better by a tiny margin, though this might have a lot to do with me getting a little bored of the show after watching two seasons in quick succession.

Conclusion: Recommended for those that liked the first season, and also those who wished that the first season actually had a story.

More mature than the first in the way the story has meaning and emotion unlike the first season which was just a pointless blend of comedy and perverted shots. The animation seems to have improved from the first season though i can't say what it is improved I jst know the improvment was there. towards the end new twists and characters come forth bring ing more action and emotion to the series...though the ending was happy it left a few questions unanswered that would be nice to know...all in all I ejoyed this season alot more than the first and await a possible third season.

The second installment of the UFO Princess series plays out in very much the same manner as the first one. Quite funny overall, but still has too much ecchi for a low age audience and a bit too much childishness for an adult audience. Its all a matter of if you can stomach Valkyries transformation really. Get over it and you'll most likely enjoy the series for what it is: light drama and comedy.
If you've watched season 1 and thought it was good then this one offers more of the same, although it gets a more serious sometimes.

Not as good as S1 (which is one hell of a slap in the face for S2). I can't stand anymore of this. That singing competition was just too much. This show is just annoying now. I already have problems with the kissing children, but that that annoying robot princess and the other younger pink one showing up more and the singing competition is just too much to handle.
