Ai Yori Aoshi Enishi, if you've seen the original Ai Yori Aoshi than depending on what you'd expected and which your favorite character was you'll either be happy or disappointed. I fell into the latter because what should have been progressing all along did not come about in AYAE and that was unfortunate. Ai Yori Aoshi Einishi is fine in some ways, but the original was far superior.

Ai Yori Aoshi ~Enishi~ is the sequel to Ai Yori Aoshi. The story continues two years later from the first season. The main cast is all here still. There's more comedy than romance in this anime.
There are twelve episodes in this series. I kind of think that this series is just fan service. Just wanted people to watch more of Ai Yori Aoshi. There isn't any story or plot in this season at all. Basically they just mention about Chika and her swim team members. Mayu's feeling about Kaoru. And just having more parties. Mostly the end focus' on Tina. However there is one episode that focus on Kaoru and Aoi. They spend time together and tell their feeling to each other. So their love has been passed.

The thirteenth episode is a Christmas service for the fans. It's about 15 minutes. It mostly is about Kaoru spending Christmas. In this version he does not meet Aoi. He lives in his apartment, somewhat retelling about the Hanabishi event. He finds a necklace and takes it home. He sleeps and then finds Santa. However that Santa IS Aoi. Yup and of course we get to see the other characters. To me this episode is just Kaoru feeling loved.

Overall I really don't think it's necessary to watch the sequel. I mean to me the first season ended fine. However just making more is just service. These episodes weren't all that great. However if you like/love Ai Yori Aoshi then go ahead watch it. It's not bad. I'm just saying it's not necessary that's all.

Honestly,I watched both AYA and AYA Enishi at least thrice.I understand that it is disappointing to have an ending like that then you might as well don't watch Enishi and stick to the ending in AYA.

Don't...if you really enjoy AYA.We all know that AYA perhaps only managed 5-7 episodes following the story whilst the rest are mainly fillers. There is once that I was feeling really down after finishing AYA,not knowing when there is still a sequel Enishi within.I was really elated that there are still more to this anime.

Yes,the ending really will disappoints any viewer who hoped that the ending might bring Aoi and Kaoru to a whole new level(Marriage...babies...,etc).I say that the ending is rather good since I am not expecting Aoi and Kaoru to get married, etc.I just want more episodes of their daily lifestyle, thats all.And hey, bring Tina back and end it off in a heartwarming way is great. Why the complains?:P

My point is regardless how bad the story or whatever the flaw,so long as you enjoy AYA very much, you better not miss Enishi.

This is a sequel to the first season , but this one is based on the good times they have together , it doesn’t focus on the main original story of the couple aoi and kaoru , they barely mention it in the series , but I think I can say that, this time they made a bit better and professional than the first season ,I mean not very dull and silly like some of the last season , the graphics are at the same good quality and the music too , that’s why I m giving it a good rating , even though it doesn’t have a special story , or any original novel in it . but there is one more note about it , which is the ending , they didn’t make a proper ending at all , may the photos that appeared in the ending might make a sense , but I think they should have done a lot better than that , any way , that gives the idea that they might be thinking of another releases , maybe that’s why they don’t want to wrap it up and finish it , but to think of it , I might like to see more of it , honestly I can say I enjoyed it , it’s a really cute and heart warming anime after all.

"Disappointing" is the first word that comes to mind when thinking about this anime. Why did this 2nd chapter go no further in terms of plot? Why did it end the same way it began? Why did the characters remain static? Why did they even make this show then? Those might be some of the questions you ask yourself after watching this. Ai Yori Aoshi is a great anime but its sequel shows nothing new and it moves no further in story. All it does is develop some of the characters a bit more (aka Tina) and give fan service for the viewer. Even though it was only 12 episodes one can only be bothered at the fact that Aoi and Karou’s relationship didn’t blossom to its fullest extent. In fact that was the only thing I was looking forward to in this anime is to see if their relationship moves further and finishes on a good note. But it doesn’t and that is a real drag.

The same characters are there so I can’t complain there, Aoi is still aoi and Karou is still Karou. Tina develops a bit more in character in the last few episodes but other than that all characters remain static in that they are essentially the same from the last show and don’t grow all that much. The whole Enishi-thing is a load of crap, it supposedly all about all the bonds the characters share, if that is the case why didn’t any of the bonds weaken or strengthen… it was the same old stuff from beginning to end..

On a positive side it was fun to watch the characters do their thing again since they were so memorable in the original – but that is about it. It was basically all fillers and all that happens is the same things that happened in the middle of the first show. If you a big fan of the original this is worth a watch, only if you realize the story (and Aoi’s/ Karou’s relationship) is not going to proceed in any fashion. If you are more than happy with watching the characters go through their daily routines one more time then you will probably enjoy this anime a lot. However I had something different in mind when watching this, I wanted it to continue, to be different, to be concluded. None of those happened, and it is suffice to say I didn’t like the show all that much because of that. This is a risky anime to watch, either you will enjoy it or hate it. As you can see I am more for the latter.

This is the sequal of Ai Yori Aoshi, in this part you finally see Aoi and Kaoru's relationship being accepted by the Sakuraba family. However, you also learn about the rest of the characters feeling for Kaoru. The story ends in the same it began, in which nothing much changes because the characters that left return back to the mansion. This makes the story line weak because the characters try to move on with their lives, but somehow they return back to the same place. This cause the value of the anime to drop compared to the first season.

Ai Yori Aoshi ~Enishi~ is a sequel to Ai Yori Aoshi. The basic factor of this season is to continue the main story from season 1. However, there are some minor flaws...

Animations - Little to be said. In a nutshell the animations are great. I like the looks of the characters and the bright colorful background and etc.

Sound - The same voice actors from season 1 is still there. I watched the Japanese VO and I like the voice acting in Japanese better. The musics this time around was not as good as the first season. Nevertheless, it was enjoyable.

Story - Supposely the story is continuing what is not concluded in season one. However, after watching all of ~Enishi~ I felt that there were no true continuation of the base story. It felt like a bunch of random events cramped together just to comprise an anime to sell to the public. I felt the ending of the series was so wide open and nothing really concluded. Unless they are making a season three, the ending was somewhat crap.

Character - Same characters as season one with a few random not important extras. I wish there was more of a character development. Especially the relationship betweem Aoi and Kaoru. It felt like their relationship were at a standstill and no real steps was taken to further enhance it.

In conclusion ~Enishi~ was enjoyable. However, it felt lacking. The story presented in season one did not feel like it was continued and the love-romance between Kaoru and Aoi seem like it was frozen in time. I only liked Ai Yori Aoshi because of that special love-romance theme. ~Enishi~ was a bit disappointing but still worth a watch for those who liked the original Ai Yori Aoshi.

Ai Yori Aishi was fun, perfect a anime to kill time. And with a cute romance to boost, I just couldn't resist downloading Enishi despite the warnings from the forums - "this one hardly compares to the original." The end result? Forums win, Enishi was BAD, infact far worse even though I was prepared for a crappy story. Enishi (meaning 'bonds') was very weak, and had no 'enishi' to hold itself even to be decent anime.

The animation and sound are pretty much the same as the original. Same lively and vibrant colours, same music. If you really wish to know more, then read the review of Ai Yori Aoshi.

Story??? WTF is that? Does Enishi have a story? Well, yes - that is if stand alone ecchi ridden episodes constitute a story. There is no plot, all what happens is that some cliche ridden sequences come into play. Tennis, weird noises in the attic, a person not able to swim - these are the frameworks for three of the episodes. 10 out the 12 episdes are of this type. The story (if you are desperate to term it as story) begins at episode 10. And even that is way below average. It would not be wrong to equate the best episode of Enishi to the worst episode of Ai Yori Aoshi, and even in that Aoshi would win (in my opinion.)

The characters were already developed in Aoshi, however further character developement was obvously not on the director's mind. So the characters remain static. All except Tina, who is handled very well in the last 3 episodes (they really did a good job in developing her) - all the others dont even break the surface. Pathetic would be an apt word. Worst of all are the three of Chika's classmates and a very irritating Mayu.

So who would enjoy Enishi? That would depend on what you liked in Aoshi. If you liked the cute romance - then keep away, you are in for disappointment (just like me.) If you liked the cliche harem situations - then this is worth a shot. And for those who didnot like Aoshi - avoid it like the bubonic plague and run for your lives. As for me, this was OK, but just, it killed my boredom - but thats about it.

Enishi. What does that mean in Japanese? I believe.. Bonds. Right? Bonds between people.

So the first thing I want to say.. is that I see no filler episodes. Every episode to me tells a bond between one of the characters and the next.

And here we go! Each episode tells about a certain character. Some gave me a neutral aspect of the character, a negative effect, or positive effect. Luckily, none gave me any negative effect. I now see Tina in a new light, that's for sure. Kaoru and Aoi obviously gets closer than before. But I wish there romance progressed more. Even Mayu's light was shown to me. Ahh. but more on Tina's story. Unbelievable development. About around.. episode 8 or so.. they start showing Tina's development. I guess you can't really judge a book by its cover, can you. Especially in Tina's case. Ah. You know who else I forget to talk about? I believe there is one dedicated episode to Taeko. Ah.. Sorry. I don't even notice her in the anime.. untill you notice she's drinking enormously. Maybe it's because in the episode she had to herself.. she was portrayed as the same girl, while Mayu, Aoi, and Tina was portrayed as the girls who developed the most.

Overall, this anime is not that bad. It brought tears to my eyes at times. If you're really thinking of this anime as a filler.. then look at the name.

Ai Yori Aoshi Enishi.

It did it's job, and lived up to it's own title, didn't it?

And now.. we just need to know what happens to the main couple. 3rd season is going to be a good one! If.. they combind this season, and the first one.

The second season of Kaoru and Aoi's romance was not as well developed as I hoped it would be. They didn't get far into their romance but whenever they got the chance, it was very romantic for them. It did seem like as if nothing more has happened since the first season. Also, half of the season seems to be fillers so that kind of disappointed me.

Ai Yori Aoshi ~Enishi~ was alright for a 2nd season. I was expecting a bit more development in Kaoru and Aoi's relationship though. As most people said theres alot of filler episodes but theres still alot of romantic sceen's between Kaoru and Aoi to look forward to.

The animation was great, i was really surprised at how well the english dub was done, the mouth movements were completely synchronized with the voices.

The opening sound track wasnt all that great in my opinion, but for some reason the ending sound track kept getting stuck in my head and got very addicting after a while. I only watched the english dub, and i can say it was deffinately one of the best dub's ive ever heard.

The story was kind of weak and didnt really have much of a direction. It picked up where the first season ended and sort of proceeded to go no where. It was mostly just about character development.

The characters were all fairly likeable. i especialy liked chika's positive energy and cuteness. Tina was probly my least favorite though, and unfortunately she got quite a bit of "screen time".

Overall, this anime would be best suited to "hardcore" Ai yori aoshi fans. Theres a alot more "ecchi" in this one and some pretty intimate sceens between Kaoru and Aoi, so its deffinately worth watching if you really liked the first season.

I always thought it was unfair that anime get rated low simply because they are slow. There are different types of anime, fast paced, and slow paced. You should rate them on their own aspects, not saying this anime is 'too slow for me' because you can't give an anime a low rating because it's not your cup of tea. Now I never saw Ai Yori Aoshi, just Enishi. Enishi kept reminding me of Hanaukyo La Verite.

Enishi has wonderful art, it's clear, and provides excellent visuals. The animation part of it is great too. I always loved the sound of Ai Yori Aoshi and I love the sound of this one, too. It is very beautiful music, and very calm. I absolutely adore the characters. I'm so happy Chika and Taeko got so much air-time. They are definitly the most unique amongst the rest, though they could be considered stereotypes, I still loved them. You feel like you really get to know the characters.

Overall, Enishi is a great time consumer if you are looking for something funny and enjoyable to watch.

It's a little overshadowed by the previous since this one focuses more on the other characters aside from Kaoru and Aoi. That could be both a positive and negative, depending on how you look at it. On one side, I didn't like the time wasted on Taeko (like, who actually cares about her anyways?) whereas it REALLY improved my perception of Tina. In a way, you can say that this series brought Tina to life, whereas the previous only skimmed on her personality. The art is actually better than the original and the music is equally as good as the predecessor as well. Overall, I really enjoyed this series...although not quite as great as the first, however, still a nice installment on to the AYA storyline. I hope they make a 3rd season.

Following on from the romantic Ai Yori Aoshi, this sequel fails to live up to expectations and really fails to deliver what was great about the first series.

Enishi, is, in a nutshell, Ai Yori Aoshi filler episodes. In Ai Yori Aoshi and good 60-70% of episodes were pretty much dedicated to filler-esque episodes.. well here in Enishi, about a good 80%+ is consisted of that. No room for building on Aoi's and Kaoru's relatinship, this anime concentrates mainly on providing *some* entertaining filler episodes which in some respects boring and predictable of sorts.

However, the last DVD of Enishi is very good, the last 4 or so episodes did some good to this anime. A whole episode dedicated to Aoi and Kaoru, and a good 3 episodes on Tina's feelings and good character development. The last DVD was good stuff, which is a shame cause this whole series would have did better if the other DVDs were like the last DVD. (and if they got rid of Taeko)

Overall, watch last 4 episodes for some 'serious' business, try to ignore the rest if you can. But if you like filler episodes from Ai Yori Aoshi, you probably like it.

Overall, 5/10
grade: D+

This sequel to the somewhat famous "Ai Yori Aoshi" proves to be a success. First of all, it should be understood that this is not one the "everyone anime" that anyone will will find at least some parts appealing to them. Honestly, I found no aspects of this anime too outstanding. Although one of the genres is comedy, sometimes I do find its attemps futile. For me, this anime did not stand out too well.

If you haven't watched this anime yet, I suggest you to give it a try. Although I believe that only a certain group of the population will actually find it interesting and be willing to watch more.

I prefer the prequel of both the anime and the manga better as there were more episodes/chapters (the manga is still going I think), but and again that's just my own preference. If you liked the prequel and/or are into romance you should definitely watch this so you're not missing out.

this anime, as you can see from the title, is a sequel ai yori aoshi. Two years have passed and now Kaoru is a graduate student.

I was pretty satisfied with the first seris. and at the end i thought they provided a satisfying conclusion at the end also

This sequel opens everything all up again and leaves the anime with no conclusion. Why would they do that? i don't know. but i was really looking for the final conclusion in this one. but they rather set up for another season.

one thing i liked about enishi is that they develop some of the characters and ives some depth to them. the lacked character development in first seris and i thought this was a good patch for it.

a big negative is the fact the relationship between Kaoru and Aoi doesn't relaly change much. they are still lovers, they are still hiding their secret, nothing really changes. enishi almost feels like it should've been incorporated into the first seris to take the first one better.

with all the bad things in this anime you will still like this anime if you enjoyed the first seris. It still has that really cute charm to it that i think lots of people look for. If you like the first watch it. if you did not this is not worth your time.

Sad, considering how much I love the first season. I was expecting A LOT more out of this than just filler. It stays pretty constant with story and characters from the first season, but......nothing happens. Nothing new really happens. I understand that the manga is still running, and new stuff is hard to come by, but I still hate filler series. The first series is superior in every way, except maybe animation, but that's no surprise. They're dead even there, since the same studio was used. Watch this if you really want, otherwise join me in waiting for the manga series to finish here........

This 13-episode follow up is a continuation of one of the best romantic comedies around. It’s highly recommended that you watch Ai Yori Aoshi first, to get a better understanding of the main characters; but Enishi is easily enjoyable without it (but you might miss out on some deeper appreciation). Some new characters are introduced (as Chika’s friends); they add a little flavor to whichever scene they happen to be in (and give Mayu a bigger headache). And while one character is forgotten, another character receives special attention that just adds to the depth of this series.

The bulk of Enishi is the continuation of Aoi & Kaoru’s relationship, and their future together. Kaoru is working through graduate school, and pondering how he’s going to provide for Aoi and himself in the future. And Aoi is struggling with keeping her relationship with Kaoru a secret, and confused at times with the pacing of her relationship. (Motherly tone) isn’t she cute? ^_^

The only disappointment I had with Enishi is the way Taeko was portrayed. She was her same, clumsy, try-her-best, self. Instead of giving her chances to grow as a character, they put her in situations to keep her “occupied, while every other character was experiencing events that made them grow as a person.

But for a minus, a BIG positive. Tina grew immensely as a character, and basically stole the show in the later episodes. She received an expounded background story and history, interesting little insights of when she first met Kaoru, and her struggle with fitting in. Not to mention her personal battle with her feelings for Kaoru. You couldn’t help being drawn into her narrative. And near the end, I found myself feeling the same feelings (and doing the same action at the time) as Tina had. It’s quite a moment that I don’t want to spoil here.

Overall, I thought this was a great addition to an outstanding anime. I can only hope for a 3rd season of Ai Yori Aoshi.

Even worse than the already shaky series. The harem angle is much more prominent, the fan-service more blatant, and the storyline more non-existent. This type of dreck is what puts me off anime.

Nothing new here. Everything is almost the same as the original one. More charsters, but they're all going to the same direction as it going before. No one know the secrect relationship, there's a hint that Tina kina notice it though. Since she have no chance against Aoi, direct cut her off the show haha. Well, the story will probably end like this or else they'll do more just suck more money(like they done this time).

All and all, you'll like this one if you love the first one, but don't expect anything from it. It sure a collectable item only if you a fan/freak of Aoi :D
