| This is one enjoyable ova. 3 eps, but its straight to the point. The story is straightforward, but the characters are quite good. There is little comedy in this anime, and its not really that funny. Its a pure romance story and it is quite well for 3x30min.
Animation in 1998 seems quite old. It looks like it was around mid 90's. The colours does show how old this anime is. The background is not one you will remember.
Storywise its about a new couple's love story with few side tracks in between. Its like Hantsuki, but this is very basic, and simple and its quite good because its that simple and it has some of the pure lovers of any love story. Maybe due to the nature of 1998, story was not that complex at that time.
The characters are a lot in this anime. The seiyuu was quite ok, and there is little character development. There is even little interuption from the rival and side characters and whatever was shown is mainly to highlight the main characters. The op and ed was quite mushy for me. It gives an insight that the anime is really old.
Its quite enjoyable to see something simple and the characters give a big help to that. And all within 3 eps is quite something worth the watch.

| It's sweet. A nice romance OVA with no interest in what's gonna happen after it's over. Overall, it’s enjoyable, not as much ecchi as you would expect from this type of show. This is better than the TV version, but far less developed character-wise. It’s nice, nothing more.

| Ah... Nice romance anime. Even thou it only had 3 OVA, this one really bring out the freshness of young love. 2 word can describe this "soul mate". They really meant to be with each other and at the end it was a happy ending. Too bad nothing stand out of this anime, but I really enjoy it! watch it if you romance/drama fan.

| Yume de Aetara ist nichts anderes als eine Standardromanze. Wir haben unseren etwas vertrottelten männlichen Hauptdarsteller der sich in der Liebe schwer tut bis er ein Mädchen kennen lernt dem er verfällt sowie den dazugehörigen Klischees das sich beide nicht trauen ihre Gefühle Preis zu geben und den Situationen die unseren Hauptdarsteller in haufenweise Missverständnisse verwickeln, natürlich darf ein zweites Mädchen, das die Sache noch verkompliziert, nicht fehlen. Trotz dieser Fakten habe ich dieses OVA sehr gemocht, ich bin nun mal ein Fan dieser klischeelastigen Romanzen und krieg davon eigentlich nie genug ^^. Außerdem werd ich das Gefühl nicht los das die ein oder andere Szene die Macher von Love Hina inspiriert haben könnte, besonders die 3. Episode lässt heftigst darauf schließen. Wie auch immer, wem diese Art von Anime schon zu den Ohren rauskommt braucht sich Yume de Aetara gar nicht erst anzuschauen denn hier gibt es überhaupt nichts Besonderes oder Innovatives zu sehen. Sollte man jedoch eine Schwäche für solche Romanzen aufweisen (wie meine Wenigkeit) kann man sich die 3 Episoden ohne Bedenken zu Gemüte führen.

| Very typical love triangle anime involving the stupid\looser guy, the girl he likes (but cant get himself to call her), and the girls' friend that likes the stupid guy.
I liked it enough to not think that i wasted my time watching it, but it didnt pull me in or anything. Neither did it make me want to watch the TV series right away.
The anime sems older then it actualy is in terms of the animation. the colors are very soft and you sometimes get the feeling that they're blended together (which totaly kills your depth perception). I guess it works with the kind of anime that this is, but i prefer a more seperated and vibrant type of coloring. Everything else is about average.
