| I definately agree with Miss J's review: this show must have subliminal messages that make you want to watch the show. I, fortunately, was able to break free from the mermaids' enchantment by ep. 15. This anime is not life-changing in anyway and, unless you like "The Little Mermaid" or Magical Girl anime, you won't enjoy Pichi Pichi Pich. It does have some redeeming factors, but in the end, it's just another Magical Girl anime.

| Honestly I wonder if this anime has subliminal messages that MAKE you keep watching it.
I like the show for the most part but sometimes it's too obnoxious even for me.
I can honestly say that the reason why I started watching it and probably most of the reason why I keep watching it is the simple fact that I absolutely loved the "Little Mermaid" story in all it's forms.
Quite honestly I would like to know what happens and if there is a point besides the obvious.
Perhaps the biggest downfall OF this show is the singing. Maybe I'm really an evil baddy but when they start singing I just want to skip ahead or hit the mute button because in my opinion it sounds terrible.
My most favorite thing about this anime though, is the fact that it does have romance, but it's more realistic, and not idealic, and that's always a plus.

| An interesting(also normal) shoujo anime series.Well it's actually like the usual shoujo anime whereby there's magical girls, bad guys encounter of the week and that "colourful" transformation scenes. The weird thing is,I still keep on watching.

| I love this anime. I'm not really too interested in anime that are dark as anime to me has always about fun, colour and enjoyment. (Each to their own).
This extremely colourful anime pulled me in from the first moment. It IS a little cheesy from time to time but I love that.
Pengin is cute and although this seemingly follows a similar plot structure to a lot of magical girl anime I can see how the plot could develop overtime.
This anime probably will never be considered a classicand doesn't necessarily have what it takes to be remembered but if you're looking for something to brighten up your day I can safely say this will do it.

| I find this to be an overall disappointment. The music is lame. The story is predictable and I have happened upon the first and only japanese voice actress who's performance I'm just not happy with.
The transformation sequences are humdrum. Effects are minimal. They sings song and the bad guys run away. I'd say it's because the songs are bad. Not from any magical power the songs might have. This could have been a decent show if a little more effort had been put into it.

| Mermaids! First impression is that it was "Disney little disney mermaid". But,
it's a lot of differences. They fight with their voices and singing!
It's a love story, and doesn't hide it at all. All the girls have a boy they really like. Watch the episodes to see more of that, and how it goes!
I had to download this anime, since it was so incredibly cute!!
How can you give anything less than 10 in Sound with these great singers?

| Even though this series doesn't have much substance, it's very enjoyable. If you like shoujo/mahou shoujo (magical girl) anime this will definitely entertain you. The best part of the series is the music- it's awesome. The animation is excellent and the characters are EXTREMELY cute. The characters are likeable, but they don't have much depth (mainly Hanon and Luchia- Lina is okay). Hippo (a penguin!) and Kaito are the only interesting ones. The only thing annoying about this series is the "fight scenes" (if you can call them that). They're pretty lame and it's the same thing EVERY time. Overall, the series can be endearing and funny and you can't wait to see what happens between Kaito and Luchia.

| Okay sorry to disappoint you all but this is NOTHING like SailorMoon. -.-
The story is very similar to the Little Mermaid, which is why I like it a lot. There are plently of twists in the storyline to make it a suprise everytime. The music is great and is very upbeat. Probably my favorite part of the show is the music. The way they fight is with sound. Which to me makes sense since they are underwater. Soundwaves in the water...yadda yadda. But it is a fun show and will guarentee a laugh and a decent love story.
I have seen 90% of the episodes, I just don't think that those who have seen three episodes should review an anime. -.-

| I love this anime, but there are some things that disturbes me in it. Like the music is the same in allmost every episode... The story is kind of good. The Characters is the thing that anoyes me the moast! They have a weak personality and the Seiyuu's sounds like they are dead or something. I like this kind of girly-girl anime(tough I am a guy.), so the Enjoyment are high.

| Okay, I love Magical girl series a lot, and this series combines various different magical girl features into a mix. It's pretty childish, but the beautiful animation and sound worlds make up a lot where the series is lacking in real content. It's not the best series out there (ie. Ultra maniac and Tokyo mew mew beat MMPPP at it's own game), but for people who enjoy this kind of shows, it probably won't be a disappointment

| I really like this show so far. It's a nice original kids magical girl show. Plus it has romance and music which basically always wins me over. The music makes me think of Full Moon wo Sagashite. The art and character designs are really cute. The music was nice. I thought the whole mermaid aspect was interesting. If you like magical girls shows and/or singing shows (IE Full Moon) then it wouldn't hurt to check this one out. :D

| Hah, singing to defeat you enemies, that's a really... stupid concept. But then again there's always things like Princess Tutu, the duck girl princess who defeats her enemies by dancing the waltz... so I guess singing is not half as bad.
Anyway, as childish and as ridiculous as this series is, I still find this show entertaining and enjoyable. And Luchia's urmm... attack song... gets kinda catchy after you hear it a few times. The main characters are all really cute and nicely drawn. The antagonists though, are pretty sad as they are all mindless evil aquatic women who fight for the love of their bleached haired master, who gets their asses handed to them by singing j-pop mermaid idols. But I'm known to watch all kinds of trashy shows anyway.
In conclusion, if you enjoy watching shows targeted for 10 year olds, this show is for you!

| The characters are extremely cute, but the whole story looks like a cross between little mermaid and sailormoon. Again, the main girl has a crush on this guy, etc. This show scores on being a singing anime and basic artwork appeal, but I would not say that it's excellent overall, although the songs are nice. The characters are stereotypical and dumb, as if the show really is aimed for kids. I've never seen enemys die from hearing songs, nor can I believe how dumb they win and lose. It is a no-brainer in terms of storyline.

| I can sympathize with the bad guys. I don’t like the songs at all and it’s really lame that the bad guys lose because they can’t stand the song, though I can’t blame them. I think this series tried to capitalize on Full Moon o Sagashite and Little Mermaid (note to Leandra Steinmann, when people think of Little Mermaid, it is almost exclusively the Disney version, not the book). But, it’s songs suck. The story is also too recycled. That in itself is not a real problem (since it really seems like there are only 5 or 6 stories in all 3 million animes ever made, with some exceptions), but lately there’s been a few too many of these. Okay, enough negative. I think the characters are quite well done. They’re a little shallow (so far), but so far there’s not too much happening and this seems to be a more younger audience anime so that’s okay. The animation is top-notch. Voices are excellent. They fit perfectly. So why, did I rate so low here? Cuz the songs (such a major part of this series) just aren’t up to par. Since I’m writing the review this early in the series, this means I’m stopping it right here. I think this series has potential (if they change the songs), but there’s just too many other better series out there and too little time. If you like this kind of series (I don’t know the name for it), watch Full Moon. It’s one of the best animes (any anime) out there. Quite frankly, this is a love or hate series. I think a lot more people will fall in the hate categories, mainly due to the songs and how the bad guys are beaten.

| one of the more-unprofessional animes out there - it means nothing for the enjoyment factor but i don't understand - the animation is hideous and changes every second episode, the sound is BAD, the main chars' voice acting is fine but they can't sing one bit and this show IS about singing, other than that the BGMs are so bad i actually feel like the atmosphere would've been better without bgms at all.
the AMAZING 1st opening kept the sound grade from going too low.
the characters don't develop at all, the story's pace isn't constant,
i dunno, everything about this show just screams UNPROFESSIONALLITY!
this show looks like some students' experiment which really didn't go well and it's pretty sad, i bet the manga is much better cause you can see this show had a little potential not to be a complete waste. (also checked pure's 1st ep)
