| * this is going to be a short review because this OVA is only 1 episode and thres really not much to say about it*
Green Green actually came out before Green Green TV series which I'm kind of confused about because Green Green well it sucks so why the they make another one.
Green Green seems to me that it is only for one thing fanservice and it actually succseeds in that department, but it can get boring yea I said boring" it can for only a 23 minute OVA that is pretty sad.
Animation -
The animation was a bit below the average standard point for anime from the year 2002. I mean the colors were good but there were some sketchy parts. Also the animation is pretty simple. Character design is stereotypical with the girls with big breast that ggo to school buy they all show panties, I mean it can do better well maybe not. The drawings were also very simple and didn't seem to have taken much thought in drawing them.
Sound -
The opening and the ending theme were quite annoying with a somewhat of a high-pitched singing voice. Also it was J-pop which I don't like. The music in the background was well not noticeable and forgetful. The voice acting was as the ecchi with a bunch of girls kind of voices which means a lot of yelping, whining and high-pitched talking. I dislike all three.
Story -
the plot was weak and also quite simple. It is about a bunch of boys from an all boy school who go to a an all girl school to see about joining schools together. But when they get their the story is just about the boys being perverted like the same ways as any othe ecchi anime.
Characters -
The charters like the two main ones wer egoing maybe to start a relationship , well then again I didn't care and you shouldn't either. Charactersd are just a bunch of pervs, nothing new, and nothing you haven't already seen before in the characters.
Value -
The rewatch value is well I'm not going to watch it. Collectible value is next to nothing. The fansubs subtitles were pretty good and translated well.

| Animation compared to the series isn't as great. Colors and shading are bland, but lighting was good. Background looks a bit more detailed, or at least more plentiful.
Opening and ending songs are really good to listen to. The guitar and the singer were really good. There weren't much sound effects and the music during the anime wasn't anything special, but I think it seems to go along with the mood of the anime.
The story is entirely different from the series. There is no resemblence of the story at all. Plus, there is no linear plot, so don't expect too much indulgence. Nothing really happens at all here, except some perverted stuff here and there. But at least the perverted stuff in this OVA is less and not as sickening as in the series. At least the story makes sense and isn't confusing.
The characters are almost the same as in the series. Here, there's more involvement with the other male characters, instead of just the trio and Yuusuke. And instead of three people being perverts, it's just two, leaving out Tenjin. That's a plus. Since this is a one episode OVA, there isn't any character development. Characters aren't unique as well. Overall, they're not bad to watch.
For value, it isn't any good. This OVA has no relation in story to the series at all. And so, made me feel like I'm watching a different anime. Fans of the series won't even like this OVA. The characters and the small amount of romance between Yuusuke and Midori is the only good thing to get from here. And even by itself, and it actually is different enough to be thought as a single anime episode, nothing much happens that's different than the average anime. I recommend watchers to skip this one, unless you have nothing to do and time to kill.
P.S. The reason I didn't give such a bad review is because this OVA is not the worst illogical, stupid, and senseless thing I've seen. There's a lot far worse out there than this.

| Wow, after watching Green Green TV, this thing is a total disappointment. Made before Green Green TV, I'm sure it was made as some sot of pilot OVA to see how the humor of the trio would be received. However, in comparison to Green Green TV, everything absolutely pales in comparison.
Do NOT watch this. I repeat, do not watch this. Even more so if you've seen Green Green TV, it'll ruin that whole mood set up at the end. The humor isn't at its 'peak' and there is absolutely no story line. Animation is horrid. Stay away.

| Jesus Christ, how does this crap have a name of Green Green on it? Thank gods I've watched Green Green Tv before this, as I would've definitely deleted anything what had something green in its name after watching this.
Not only this is as short as 26 minutes, but nothing really happens in it at all. Some pervs run around doing nothing reasonable or funny. Girls chase them shouting, but still nothing really happens. I really can't quite get a point why was this thing released, it's so empty it sickens. It's neither funny, neither inteligent, neither fanserviceish. It doesn't have story, its characters are plain, boring, uninteresting and annoying. Animation is horrible and the sound is absent most of the time. It even made Green Green tv which I liked look crappy and distorted in my memories.
I would recommend to stand away from this shit. Even if you loved Green Green tv, even if you loved erolutions (which i doubt) stand away from this crap, it's a plotless waste of your time.

| I kinda liked this short OVA. True it wasn't anything special it just was a basic fanservice type of show. This OVA made me want to see the tv series which has much higher ratings. It was mostly about these pervs who try to peep at girls in the school they are staying at. Of course the main character is the innocent one. If you want to know more about this ok OVA read on.

| Ok first of all i wanna point out that i watched Green Green Tv before i watched this OVA and i shure am glad i did that, cose if i should have watched this first i would have missed a very entertaining anime that is Green Green Tv and labeled it as lame as this one.
The animation is not very good for an ova but still it does it's job as for the sound? it really sounds like it's been done by inexperienced actors and with limited budget since the op/ed themes are one and the same... ok i could cut it some slack, i mean it's the first anime that this new animation company did so the budget must have been limited... so they had to cut some corners, but still the worst is yet to come.
Now the bigest flaw of the anime is it's story. First of all you can't develop so many characters and make some romantic connections in just 24 minutes, it's impossibile... well they do manage to pull a sort of ending as the pantie thief is revealed and we do get a sence that some relationships have advanced, but on a very very unrealistic and superficial level.
Some might find an excuse for this Ova's story developement and call it an intro for the Tv series, but with the exception of the characters the two don't have nothing in common and it turns out that the OVA doesn't exist as a pre-developement in the series.
Well one might say "it's an ecchi/comedy so what do i care about the story developement as long as it makes me laugh?"... well the problem is that it doesn't make me laugh, it just isn't funny, don't ask why, i usually enjoy exagerated comedies but this just wasn't enjoyable.
Well from the value point of view i'll sy it has about zero, since this isn't a real intro into the series and it's to short to be a story on it's own and to lame to be enjoyable.
Skip this it isn't worth watching

| To start off this is nothing like Green Green tv, so if you plan to watch an ova to see if you'll like that series there is no comparison.
Go watch the TV series. On with the reveiw!
Animation. The animation reminds me of the first step ever to full-computer animated graphics. Its like its a companys first ever production & it shows (hey it may even be!). The Drawing style might be ok if the TV versions characters were not so beautifully crafted, the animation however is horrible & only good in one place & the OP[5].
Sound, i didnt like the voices & they have a distinct tone of rushed or possibly inexperienced acting (it could be a pretty nasty experience if your speakers are not set up perfectly). The tv version is much better, but the OP/ED on this are pretty good. [7]
Story, (sorry to compare this to Green Green tv again but the story is sufficiantly* different that it needs a mention).
The jokes are quite lame (i didnt laugh once) & the activities the characters get up to are pretty uncreative aswell). It doesnt get boring, but it is a bit dumb.[5]
Character. A few of the characters are interesting, but far far too many of them have next-to-no personality because of a lack of screen time (its an OVA).But even the interesting characters are only interesting because they could be hateable.[6]
(For fans of TV every character seems to be present except the red haired girl!).
Value, worthless by itself, but TV fans will mildley enjoy sitting through this, im not saying by anyones standard its good but it isnt completly unwatchable. Worth burning to disk (or possibly even buying cheap!) Especially for fans [6].
I enjoyied watching this OVA a small amount, Im a bit dissapointed how the predecessor to possibly** the most funny thing on a rectangular screen! (GGTV), didnt make me laugh once. I would have turned this off if i hadnt watched TV first. Watch TV , its a nigh-on essential anime for your collection!
*(sufficiently different as in comparing Evangelion TO RahXephon)
**(possibly because it is that good! but not my personal favorite, which is Da Capo, BEWARE this OVA could easily ruin GG, or even anime for you).

| Tja was lässt sich zu diesem OVA sagen? Um es in wenigen Worten zusammen zu fassen: Wertlos, Sinnlos, Beschränkt und ziemlich öde. In den knapp 26 Minuten dieses Machwerks passiert absolut NICHTS was in irgendeiner Weise interessant ist oder in Erinnerung bleibt. Es gibt hier nicht die Spur eines Plots, die Charaktere sind nicht mehr als hohl ,sowohl geistig als auch charismatisch und die Comedy ist sowas von NICHT witzig das man sich ernsthaft fragt wieso hier "Comedy" als Genre gefährt wird. Man könnte annehmen das wenigstens Fans von Ecchi hier auf ihre Kosten kommen doch auch hier gibt es nichts was einer Erwähnung würdig wäre. Nicht zu vergessen die überaus schwachen Animationen, bei denen von OVA-Qualität weit und breit nichts zu sehen ist. Wow, ich muss sagen ich habe lange nicht mehr soviele Kritikpunkte in einer einzigen Episode zu beklagen gehabt und das ist Beweis genug für mich das es sich hier um eines der schlechtesten OVAs handelt das mir bisher untergekommen ist. Komplette Zeitverschwendung!

| The animation are soso, but other than tat, this OVA is really bad.
It's really pointless, doesn't introduce any characters or anything... (although i´ve heard it was done for the h-game)
It doesn´t have anything to do with the series at all really...which should be OK if it at least told you something at all.
I don't see why anyone would enjoy this, go see the TVseries instead.

| Green Green (OVA) is about two schools (one all-boy, one all-girl) who are thinking of merging their student bodies (no pun intended) into a co-educational institution and run a preliminary trial to see how it would go. Unlike Green Green TV, the guys go to the girls' school for a week.
This series is based on the H-game (as the closing credits would show).
As much as 25 minutes would allow, this OVA tries to stuff as much as possible into the run time it has, and barely makes things coherent. It's an interesting move to show Yuusuke and his pals get into trouble, but they got into a little too much trouble for 25 minutes. Minimal romance OVA, and nowhere as racy/sketchy/raunchy as the TV series.
Not a bad primer to what will happen in Green Green TV, but you might as well skip this OVA to save you the time.

| Pretty boring, but I'd probably have enjoyed the continuation of this more than what became Green Green TV instead... but, then GGTV would have been pretty humor-lacking as this is more of a romance episode...
This one episode alone is therefore mildly interesting, but is just the first episode of a longer series which will never exist, and not worth watching by itself alone.

| Same thing that happened to Ultra Maniac happened here. A half-assed OVA that lead into a half-decent TV show.
First, not a fan of the animation. It's just not very good. One high(er) point was the designs. Though by no means original, they are MUCH superior those in the show (because for whatever reason they decided to change them).
The rest, not worth mentioning.
Story is good for a setup, though it's not, since the show doesn't follow this OVA, just takes the characters in a similiar (but at the same time very different) setting.
Not really worth a look, and no need to see it to 'understand' the Green Green TV show.

in the series, at least they had 1 plot of reincarnated love, but this one doesn't even have that! its just stupid!

| Hmm..not as ecchi as the TV series, suprisingly...I enjoyed this more because the women of the school (particularly Chitose)are not as slutty, and the boys go to the girls school, so there is (alittle) less peeping...
as well the characters weren't stereotypes like the TV. The ugly otaku girl was quite friendly and her looks had nothing to with her personality. But there are too many charaters for half an hour so none of them get developed...but it's still fun to watch
But I think ppl who haven't seen the TV will NOT enjoy this becaue most of my fun came form comparing the TV and OAV..but if this same format could have been kept for the TV, the TV show would probbaly be better,a nd not have that stupid reincarnation theme atatched so we can see Chitose panties ^^

| Well, this one is really annoying. Non-existant story, really pissing off characters (especially the perverts team). Animation have some serious glitches (random discontinuities), and seiyuu are mostly annoying. The score is so high only because of decent op/end. Oh, and don't even count on TV series getting better - I've forced myself to watch 1.5 ep but this is pointless - couldn't even watch the 2nd one to the end. Overall - crap

| The only thing that is well done in this OVA are the animations.
The story is non-existend, the characters lack in all aspects AND are stereotypes (I only gave so many points because stereotyped are still fun to watch AND just because they were used befor has to mean that the anime designes always have to think about a complete new and unique set of characters, that would nearly be impossible- but I think that these characters will stay stereotypes even in the TV show).
The two perverts that are surprisingly the friends of the main character were really annoying and I thought they were totally useless at the same time...
The sound wasn't really great here, the opening wasn't so bad, but nothing to catch my attention.
(I review this OVA without knowledge of the TV show, because I think as an OVA it should be able to stay alone, but this one doesn't manage this at all because it looks like a 5 minute expanded TV episode, really weak...).

| I like ecchi and I found this exceptionally funny, even though the concept is a recycled one.
Romance, perverts, etc... who can't like that? There isn't much time in a single episode OVA to cram in a really deep story, so it can't be helped.
I enjoyed this immensely, can't wait for the TV series.
