| A possible rip-off of some shows like Ah! Megami Sama and other angelic show. Yes, that's probably the message that this crack of a show is conveying.
For the animation, decent overall. Nothing that I've not seen in previous shows. I'm kind of surprised why they only have three episodes with such a good budget for animation. The backgrounds are your typical magical-style anime. Bright and vibrant colors in surroundings.
Wohoo, this is my one and only favorite part of this show. The OP and ED match the theme somewhat, and it's really fun to hum and sing it especially the ED. Lol, I guess the music alone saved it from eternal damnation, but not sure about the overall average of Happy World in my review, heh. Sound effects are reused from other shows and voice acting is decent. Since the seiyuu here aren't very much known, this is definitely a low-budget production.
Ah, the story. What can I say? I love all the pointless happenings that revolve around Takeshi and his so called "guardian angel." Lol, seriously, the plot is weak and isn't resolved throughout this really short anime. I doubt they'll make a sequel of this and I'm glad they won't.
Characters are mainly one-sided. The main characters didn't struck me one bit, but there was one character in the third episode who is pretty much likeable. Too bad that last episode was the end! If they had stretch it out further I would've liked that character more, but on the other hand, the opposite will happen to the story with mindless fillers to scour. I'm sorta happy and sad that it ended.
No, even a short viewing isn't worth for this slop of a show. I felt sorry for the fansub group and the people who watched this, including myself, because of the so called "Happy World!"
Happy World! will not make you happy unless you're into the cliche' comedy and filler crud. Japanese titles have been pretty far-fethced and this is another one. It's totally contradicting to the overall story. They should've named it "Sappy World!" or something.

| It is kinda strange, and it doesn't lead to anything. The "story", that is. It has NO plot at all, though it had great potential. It was kind of disturbing watching the male lead hitted such a cute girl.
Let's just say it has potential, and there should be more coming, but they won't.

| As I wait for newest releases I seldom download short OAV animes to amused myself. Tired of waiting for new release of bleach and Blood+ I downloaded Happy world! with a hope for some quick and short amusement. I had extremely low expectations of this anime from the beginning and it turned out ot be just what I expected. With only 3 episodes to work with there really isn't anything happening in this anime.
The story is about this angel to comes down to lift bad luck from a guy with really bad luck. All three episodes cover separate and distinct events. Storyline is nonexstent, but than again there are plenty of animes without storyline that suceed.
the major failure comes from its dealing of its thematic elements. At the end of the episode 3 this anime tries to pull something but it's not very well carried out. With only 3 pointless episodes it's only obvious this anime will lack meaning or purpose. If at least comedy worked well it would've been ok. Comedy also falls flat.
Failure of comedy is direct result of the characters. Takeshi is a typical jerk shounen lead in school romance drama while Elle is just nice angel trying to help him. Few of the reviewer expressed their dislike for male lead hitting female lead, and I agree as well. the comedy seems to be more cruel rather than funny as Elle gets abused.
character development is nonexistence and there realy isn't much to discuss. Elle's determination to stay on the Earth also is covered in about 10 seconds which definetely is not convincing. all the side characters with the except of the weak girl in episode 3 are useless.
Animation didn't really work for me. I did not like the character design at all and everything was plain typical. they stuck few CG here and there but that stuck out like yao ming in a land of midgets.
To add to the aggrevation eechi didn't work as well. It was unnecessary and rather uncomfortable. It didn't provide comedy neither to the storyline. Music was nonexistence, or it was just too bland for me to notice the significance of it.
But still if you wanna kill about an hour of your life cuz you have nothing to do why not try it? I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, but certainly this anime will help you pass the time. Besides it's only a short watch....
now that I think about it only good thing this anime is that it was short.

| I wanted to like this anime but in the end, it really wasnt worth watching. Ive seen this type of anime far too many times; youve got the main character (takeshi) a complete arrogant jerk, paired up with elle, a cute, fun and careing girl. all thoughout this anime he does nothing but yell at her, threaten her and treat her like garbage (can anyone say DearS???), thankfully its only 3 episodes. i really hate seeing cute girls get abused.....

| This Ecchi was all in all good it was very funny to watch the story unfold even though it only is 3 eps.

| Well... I'll try and review this in uh.. details... Anyways, This anime is nothing special NOTHING at ALL. The story and animation are pretty bland. I only gave it an 8 because the angel girl actually seems kinda cute. Otherwise the anime kinda bites. The story...not much of a story there. The characters are dull.. and I don't understand why this angel girl stick with such a rude and insensitive guy(unlike other love-romance animes where the guy have good qualities).
I would say stay away from this anime. However, if you're desperate give it a try. it's only 3 episodes. But during the time of those 3 episodes i would recommend you taking a nap. It's way more refreshing and enjoyable. ^^

| I love this Anime a lot. Since it has a very good story and very cute character. Our little angel put herself in harms ways to protect Takeshi. And he don't give that much to it. And I think he is a bit mean to her too. She does everything she can to be with to protect him. I can't understand one thing. Why does people compaer this one with "Oh My Goddess" it isn't like Oh My Goddess at all. There are three Goddesses coming to earth in Oh My Goddess. Here it is only one Angel that wants to help Takeshi with is luck.

| The animation is pretty good. They make Elle look really cute. The music is alrea in a really cute way, such as the ending song.
The story is basically about an Angel, who is send by god to protect Takeshi from misfortune because he has more bad luck than any regular person. This is because his brother wished the misfortune on him, so Elle is there to protect him.
The anime is only 3 episode, so there are not that many characters be introduced, but the basic characters that help Takeshi or are around him are introduced and have a well define personality, but not the other ones
Overall, i enjoyed watching this anime because is really cute and funny. I totally recommend it if you like the anime Ah! My Goddess.... where it has some romance, but this one has more comedy than romance.

| I'm not exactly sure what I was expecting from an anime called 'Happy World!', but whatever my standards were, they certainly weren't met. Featuring weak comedy and laughably bad drama, Happy World is three episodes of sheer mind-numbing anime cliches and overall pain.
Animation started out impressively enough, but then for some reason took a severe drop at the second episode point. Were they just trying to lure unsuspecting viewers in with a good looking first episode? Very strange...
Music is gratingly annoying, especially the insert music. Normally I'd be tempted to despise the opening, but there's something almost hypnotic about its accompanying animation. Elle swaying back and forth has some sort of mental effect on me, I think...*coughs* The ending is equally annoying as well, with some severely Engrishy Motown noises.
Happy World introduces a basic story within the first five minutes, but doesn't really follow through with it a lot. A lot of it is usually just 'find ways to punish the asshole main character' humor, most of which generally falls flat. The final episode, in particular, completely goes against the intentions of the anime by throwing around useless feel-good crap about trying your hardest and all that obnoxious nonsense that I had to endure throughout elementary school. It was filler, yes...in a three episode series. And as the final episode. Needless to say, it didn't end very strongly.
The characters are a rather unlikeable cast, most of whose personalities were created entirely as vehicles to deliver cheap yuk-yuks. The main character is extremely rude and abrasive, which is never a good personality to have in the forefront, and his angel Elle is a super-generic incompetent heavenly being. We see the likes of her in just about every other anime created, and it's starting to get tiresome.
I'm really glad this was only 3 episodes. I don't think I could have handled much more of this anime's blithering stupidity.

| Happy World! is a nice 3 episodes OVA series that is fun to watch, but in the end, lacking in substantiality.
The animation is great in this one, all the characters are quite cute without being overly excessive and exaggerating.
There are a lot of funny moment in each of the 3 episodes. But as a whole, the series is just too short to be of anything memorable and of any actual character development. Watching them feels like they belong to a full 26 episodes series, and you are in the middle of one of the story arc instead of a standalone OVA. As a result, nothing is resolved in the end, and it starts as fast as it ends. The saving grace is that it is interesting and funny enough to keep you watch all 3 episodes once you started watching it, so that's mission accomplished for the writers in a way.
Overall, not much point in watching this anime, and it certainly does not worth your while to hunt for a copy of this anime.

| In meinen Augen ist Happy World wohl eine der ödesten OVAs überhaupt. Die 3 Episoden strotzen nur so vor Einfallslosigkeit und auch sonst bedient man sich hier, vor allem was das Setting angeht, heftigst bei gewissen anderen Animes (Ah My Goddess, Pita Ten, Mamotte Shugogetten...). Die Sache mit dem Engel der vom Himmel herabsteigt und sich bei einem Erdenbewohner einquartiert der Probleme mit seinem Alltagsleben hat ist schon so oft durchgekaut worden und gehört längst zum alten Eisen. Auch sonst ist an Happy World nicht viel dran: Die Comedy ist lame, die Charaktere nichts als übelstes Klischee, von einer Storyline ist weit und breit nichts zu sehen und die Handlung der 3 Episoden lässt die Substanz schmerzlich vermissen. Die Verantwortlichen habe sich wohl gedacht es würde reichen ein süßes naives Engelsmädel das viel Haut zeigt in den Mittelpunkt zu stellen, tja da hat man sich, in meinem Fall, stark verkalkuliert. Ich kann hier leider nicht mehr sagen als: Finger weg!

| I found this anime quite good. It's a shame it's so short.
The characters in it were quite interesting, some more than others. The idea of bad luck only is something new for me so I liked that. =) However, since Happy World is so short, it didn't have much of a character development and not much of a story either. The animation was good though and the humour very funny! =D

| Well... After I finished watching it, I asked myself: What is this thing?
To break this OVA down to its parts:
Episode 1+2: Sets the stage for a typical romance/comedy. The difference with other romance/comedies of this sort (Ah! My Goddess et al. comes to mind) is that the protagonist actually succeeded in annoyed me slightly.
Episode 3: What? What is that? WOW... HOW CREATIVE! HOW INGENI... wait... oops, just remembered that it has been done before. Gomenasai! Anyway, just think about the amount of courage needed to make a filler for the last episode, knowing that somebody might hunt you down and torture you for it! (What'd you say? No one will go that far for such a show? How dare you!) But... where did the romance go? Oh... there is no romance. It's just set up like a romance/comedy and goes nowhere. So... why is it even set up?
Watch it when you have nothing else to do.

| I enjoyed this anime purely for its humor. It definitely has some rather funny parts, but I was quite disturbed by the main character,Takeshi. To be frank, he's an asshole. A certain amount of hostility towards Eru is acceptable and funny, but his violence towards her makes me kinda uncomfortable at times. And she's so cute, too! I'm just not okay with a girl character being a guy character's doormat.

| Happy World! Entertained me a bit but no to the point where I was excited about every episode. It's about an angel entering the human world with the job to protect a very unlucky boy from more disaster he experiences in his life. Nothing out the of the ordinary or exciting at all.

| It is a little, nice and cute series. Main problem with it is its dissonance. It is not comedy, yet many characters act as if it were comedy, yet their deeds sometimes causing serious danger for a life of main character. It has potential for a full 26-eps series, but in a third episode it's already goes awry, shifting focus from main characters to others. It's one of that unbalanced animes again. But I liked it, nevertheless.

| Well, all in all it ain't that bad but since it's an OVA I'd preferred it to have a real story and not three stand-alone episodes. It's nothing more then a Ah! My Goddess or Mamotte Shugogetten clone. It is quite funny at times though but quite predictable. It could've been better if they strtched it into a 13 epi series with a real underlying plot and have time to develop the chars....
Animation was ok but I'm used to better, only a 6 because OVA are suppose to have great animation imo (since they don't have a weekly time schedule to keep like regular anime)
Music suited the anime well but nothing exceptional
Story : 3 seperate episodes, almost like they wanted to make a series of 13 or so, it would have been better that way, either do a season or do one story but not something inbetween ...
Character : well easy to figure out what the characters are, NO char development at all, lame male lead char, unoriginal female lead char, ecchi minded side char, a bit dull, nothing new
All in all: watch it when you are bored, it's amusing but a show you'll watch once and probably won't remember the day after, good enough to not be considered a waste of time but it could have been so much more ...

| Happy World! is about a boy (Takeshi?) who was given a fate of recursive bad luck, by his father. An angel is sent to him to compensate for the pain he's suffered over the years from this bad luck, and becomes, more or less, his bodyguard.
How should I put this in a light way?
This series is really, really bad. It had some potential in the first episode of the OVA, but just completely imploded from the lack of _everything_. This includes originality. It just reeks of (Denshin) Mamotte Shuggogetten, and can't even improve on the DMS-like ideas. It's as if it tried to walk in four directions at once, but has only two legs. An absolute _D_isaster.

Danm I love this anime tho its too short!
Overall, Happy World is using the aging "clueless boy met even clueless girl -or goddess or angel or robot- and living in girl only environment" but despite that, its still caught up enough attention to keep me replaying again and again..!
I hope they will make a series out of it cause it has much potential to became very good anime, storywise and enjoyment wise.
The animation is quite OK but the kawaii factor is soooooo... noticeable!
Good character design.
The OP and ED song are catchy and nice, plus enjoyable surf music as BGM!(is it Surf Coaster or something?)
If you're into comedy anime, his is really an enjoying one.
