| 14 short volumes with minimal text finished in a span of 12 years. If all mangas were like this we could have more masterpieces like Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou.
This is one of the best and most unique mangas ever. From the first to the last page I was completely overtaken.
Every page and every dialog are read like a poem. The design, though simplistic in nature, in terms of artistic expression is of the best I've read. Dialog is sparse and the manga, like BLAME, uses mainly pictures. Unlike BLAME though that is very dark and violent, this manga is lighthearted and touching, featuring its own unique sci-fi story about a robot who acts and feels like a human.
One of the best reading experiences I had with mangas and is one of those must-read and most artistic titles putting it aside from the more commercial titles.

| This is a masterpiece of Japanese comics.
There are not ups and downs in this story, but is very interesting.
If you like calm manga, I recommend this to you.

| I don't know if I've ever grown so fond of a series so quickly. Having just discovered this manga a few days ago, I've already read through nearly all of it, and loved nearly all of it. I've never read anything so light-hearted and optimistic. The only sad thing about this manga is that so few people know of it.

| It's a very calm manga, but still enjoyable. Nothing really exciting but it's that it's interesting which keeps you reading.

| Ceritanya bener2x santai. Tapi dari yg gue baca belum banyak kemajuan. Kalo gini terus gue bakal bosen lama2x. Saat2x ini sih gue masih enak ngebaca, apalagi si Alpha lumayan imut.

| Euuuh... I don't know what to say... I didn't really like it, but it's okay. It has quite a nice mood when you feel like unwinding, but otherwise it has a really boring feel. It's good to have a change from the usual, I suppose, and for that at least YKK deserves a few marks. Nevertheless it's not really my cup of tea and I wouldn't really recommend it to anyone else.

| It's Perfect.
This is the real piece of art to rise manga from "japanese comix" to graphical literature...
I've never expcted manga where during 170 megabytes happens nothing to be so interesting. The one and only mistake is the "robot" word, copyright Azimov-san, Chapeck-san, Lem-san.
Alpha and friends aren't preprogrammed steel mechas with square heads.
Their definition is more like artificial life-form, infinitely similar yet different from us - as Kokone said, the Children of Humanity.

| This manga is very original, after reading it you realise that you dont know whats its aboute.
It has a main character alpha, yes her name is alpha but there are Many Many other great charcters and all are very compelling and interesting.
The weirdest/greatest thing aboute this manga is its pace ITS SO SLOW and amasingly that is a good thing you dont feel rushed or impatient at any time.
