| Animation is solid and complete. Background has enough detail to look pleasant. Characters look nice and everything, but I didn't find anything too detailed about them. It pretty much has the typical anime animation.
For sound, it's typical as well. The voices sounded right during sex scenes. I didn't find any problems with the voices. Voice actors sounded a little more skilled than typical voice actors as well. Music is plentiful and varied. It fits the intended mood of the anime.
The story is about two couples' sex life and marriage. There are some interesting events that go on, like ways and places to have sex. Other than that, there's not much of anything. It does keep the story linear and clear, and it does keep it interesting.
Characters for this anime didn't tend to develop revolutionary, but developed sexually. The main characters were presented the different ways of having sex, and used it. Characters are likable, but they are not unique at all. I felt no connection to them. They could be another group of people and it would have made little difference to me.
Futari Ecchi has lots of sex, and thus makes this seem like hentai, but I'll call it adult anime because there's no actual sex parts showing. It has a soft atmosphere: the sex isn't twisted or bizarre. The story unravels pretty good for an adult anime, but the characters didn't seem very special to me. This anime is nice to rewatch, and has great collectable value because of it has adult content along with a nice story on the side. It's one of the few adult anime that is actually nice to watch.

| Whether this is a hentai or an adult comedy is up to you. But it certainly is very enjoyable - the story of two newlywed virgins trying out sex for the first time was certainly quite enjoyable and provides a bundle of laughs.

| Certainly adult anime, whether you regard this as hentai or not is up to you.
I found this pretty boring, for 1 main reason – I didn’t care enough about the 2 main characters: the newly wedded couple. This could have been due to the fact that there's no background that comes with this short OVA. It’s a gentle and loving adult anime, and sex scenes are result of love instead of fetishes or force.
Animation was good, so was the sound, but I found that these 2 factors didn’t have much help on making this a better anime for me; however they didn’t make it worse either.
I can’t comment on whether I’d recommend this to anyone or not, I think the way I feel about this anime has been biased, I undoubtedly did not like it. If gentle adult anime with ecchi elements and sex scenes of love are your thing then give this a try. Don’t expect a clean anime or a typical hentai for that matter.

| From the title, you withink this was a hentai anime. Instead, it turns out to be something more interesting and much, much better.
Makoto and Yura, a couple who are intrduced in an arranged marriage and then fall in love anyway, are 25-year-old virgins when they get married. The story covers their exploration and awakening to their sexuality, with all the awkwardness and ham-handed efforts that plague people in the real world. Complicating matters are Yura's interfering tease of a sister, Makoto's gynecolgoist cousin (who is determined to see them start reporducing ASAP) and two of Makoto's female co-workers who have varying degrees of the hots for him.
One thing that requires getting used to is that we see the fantasies of makoto and other characters presented in such a way that it looks like they are actually happening. This is done for comic effect, and it works. In fact, the whole series is funny in a sweet, gentle way.
A word about the sex scenes: there are sex scenes of the sort you would see in a softcore film. But everything involving genitalia is implied rather tnan directly shown. I wouldn't show this sereis to children or teenagers, but most adults should be able to handle it.

| Futari Ecchi is an Adult ecchi comedy about people who really love each other. During the course of the series, they are learning to accept each other for the good and bad about themselves. Yes, there is some ecchiness in the 4 OVA's like the title suggests. However, very few animes have ever captured what it is really like to be married in the way that it has done. Off the top of my head, probably only Onegai Teacher did as good of job as Futari Ecchi in portraying the awkwardness of two people coming together in marriage for what ever reason in Anime during the last couple of years. It may not be a title for all anime lovers, but I would recommend it for someone wanting a Kawaii romantic comedy that you can feel good about after you watch it. Just be sure to watch with someone you love by your side.

| Futari Ecchi is better than the average hentai in the story department. But then again, based on the lack of explicit detail in the sex scenes, this it is also not a hentai to begin with. Nevertheless, there is something very sexy about all this, and that's probably because of the believable story and characters. Futari Ecchi is too short to accomplish anything amazing, but it is worth the minimal ammount of time it takes to watch it.

| Futari Ecchi is extremely ecchi and it has its funny momenets every now and then....I thought teh story was really good but i only wished they would explain how the marriage started but its ok....the opening theme wasnt that great but i like the ending theme....the animation was really well drawn and this is the first time im going to say that this is way too much ecchi and would of been cooler if it had some more comedy like girls bravo or mahoromatic but its still a great anime and i recommend it to anyone

| The story is about a couble of newly weds, their time together and so on, focusing pretty much on their sexual relation.
It's not at all hentai, as stated by some people, but it do have some sex scenes in each episode which probably some consider hentai(trust me, it's not, this is more "extreme" ecchi).
It's quite a good story, although I do think it have abit too many scenes involving sex or nudity, they could have skipepd alot of them since it have a quite nice story here.
The animation is done well, they have nice character designs combined with good voice actors(the Seiyuu for the male maincharacter is the same as Keitaro from Love Hina) which lift up the show.
But the music is more or less forgotten bu now, not likeable opening, ending nor any expecially remembable background music.
It's fun to watch, so no bad about it, I'll recommend it to those who like Green Green-alike humour.

| Futari Ecchi... hmmm what could i say about it?it's like the newlly weds japanese version of the popular american sit-com "Sex in the city"... well that's what it seems to me.
It has it's funny moments, especially when co-workers try to teach the guy or the girl how to have an "intimate night with the chosen one"... the sucking on the bananna was pretty funny or the "have a learning penetration lesson with me so you'll learn how to satisfy my sister"... A lot of hot hot action scenes, without showing any of the X organs, hmm why do it like this? i really don't know, they could have just made it into a hentai and really satisfy everybody, but they just keep it on that boundry between hentai and ecchi. Exept for the newly weds learning how to improve their "night life" there's not much of a story.
The animation is kinda old for it's year and it really didn't impress me, same thoughts about the character design. Voice acting was great, lots of pleasure screams during the intercorse... heheh... As for the character developement? well exept the fact that they are getting better at the "pleasure between the sheats" i can't really see one... heheh.
Nice for a few laughs, you coul hate it due to the fact that's almost hentai but it never crosses the line. But really... if you wanna see a really good pervert-orientated/comedy you better watch "Green Green Tv" or even better "Ping Pong Club"..
Notice how i managed to avoid the word "SEX" so many times!!!

The sound and the story aren't that impressive, but I sat through the whole show with a big smile on my face. Not only because I find Yura and her little sister very sexy but also because the anime simply caught me by surprise, it was so unexpectedly cute.
Conclusion: What can I say, it's just plain lovely.
Desperatly in Need something light with some extra ecchiness sprinkled on top? Then this is the one you should see. ^^

| Not your usual ecchi anime. You can say that this is the cutest hentai or the most perverted ecchi anime! Rather than focusing on breasts and just sex, this anime lets the audience feels a very casual and light-hearted mood when the "heat" is up. You don't really feel weird or embarassed, rather you can almost hear the "awwwwwww" sound-track from the sit-com shows.
If you enjoy the ecchi and a nice laugh, then this is a nice anime. Personally, I would prefer the manga, which actually dive into talking and explaining sex seriously, while this anime is just for the ecchi and laughs.

| A remarkable peace of ecchi action. Instead focusing on the normal panty/boob-shots, this one is cute and fun story of two likeable people. The ecchi part is just for extra enjoyment and in good taste. The first example of "serious" ecchi I have seen. With good looking animation and decend sounds this one might surprise you positively.

| Futari ecchi is one of the sickest non-hentai anime's i've ever seen. But since im a sick freak, I enjoyed it. I really enjoyed the first episode, which was really cute (in a ecchi kind of way). But after Ep 1, it just seemed to turn into a softcore hentai. It has its funny moments, and a good ammount of sexual humor too. So if you like boobs and sick humor this is for you!

| Have you ever had cake with tea? Well, if you haven't I suggest you try it as its called making happy magic. (All Gunslinger Girl fans rejoice!) And ecchi is your cup of tea or you don't really mind it, watch this anime while having your cake and tea at the same time.
For the first time, (well in my experience) an ecchi anime focuses on the happiness, nervousness, comedy as well as ups-and-lows of marriage life. If you're just married and your marriage life is anything close to this couple in Futari no Ecchi, you have my congratulations as well as the imprint of my boot up your arse (if you're the groom) for being such a lucky dawg. :)

Dunno how a U shape with a dot in the middle has become so important in modern society ( . Y . ).
Neway if your looking for hentai you'll be dissapointed and this isnt it... expect nothing really sexual in this (but expect a cute girl blushing alot) and watch it because its funny and has a good story.
Hehe only 2 episodes and everyone here except one has loved it... and only 2 people put reveiws in with no thought.
Very Romantic :) enjoyed it alot.
(damn i hate the fact that enjoyments add to the average score of a anime... i enjoy them all.).

The First 2 episodes were Fansubbed b4 licensing. My 3rd episode is the second series. I think its vaugly impossible to get ep 4 of the series). Anyone able to clear this up?

| Okay this is a pretty tipical Ecchi, though what I do like is that they stray away from the stereo type of the school girl shit, like Iketari Futari. Here a couple is thown into the trows of marriage, and wait neither has had sex! So the whole series is about them fucking like bunnys, LoL more funny than honey.
My only crit is the scene where the Makoto sheats on his new wife in the bathroom on an airplane with his 2nd cousin (or so we hope). It is not like the character at all, later he has a dream about an orgy and sees his wife getting man handled, well he gets jelous... i dunno I thought that that one part ruined its overall cuteness (the one in the bathroom) bastard!
PS - yes there are 4... I have seen 3 and 3 is better than one and 2!

| Very enjoyable hentai I suppose... Its an OVA based on the super popular manga book among young adult readers which sold over 12 million copies. The show centers around Makoto & Yura who got married without having any sexual experiences. They encounter various problems and incidents concerning their marriage and sexual life. A nice sensible hentai to give you a break from all that tentacle and rape stuff. This is a very cute hentai... I recommends this title for whoever like Romance and Comedy...
Heh... ma I think I'm gonna become like Makoto...

| IMO ist Futari Ecchi einer der unterhaltsamsten Ecchi Anime die ich bisher gesehen habe, nun gut es ist sogar fast schon Hentai aber das hemmt natürlich nicht den Spaß den Futari Ecchi macht. Ein Anime mit unterhaltsamer Story, sympathischen Figuren, sowie viel Humor und natürlich vieler nackter Tatsachen. Außerdem ist das Charakterdesign einfach super. Wer Ecchi/Hentai nicht abgeneigt ist hier an der richtigen Adresse.

| in my opinion this is softcore hentai anime with a really good plot (only seen the first 2 eps). but if you want a REALLY good laugh and do not mind the nudity, then go ahead and watch this.
(*SPOLIER* my favorite line in the anime 'We've become one' *sigh* 'Sorry. I'm done')
