| An anime about anime/manga? Yeah, it sounded like a fun idea to me, but the bland, cheap animation; incomparably bad sound; the boring executed story and the absolutely -10000 substance characters turned Comic Party into a complete waste of time.
Yes, I enjoyed it A BIT, as you can see by my score, but that doesn’t change the fact the show is terrible. Everything about it is bellow average. It’s darn obvious the creators put minimum effort in. My gawd if they were going to slack off, why did they bother to make the show at all?
This show does not deserve to be in the Top: 200. It deserves to be in a list of one of the worst anime ever made. The creators should be ashamed for taking a half decent idea and turning it into pointless crap.

| Just from watching the first ep I realized what a doinky harem this was gonna be... it started off with a guy and a bunch of ugly, annoying girls and lame fan-service.
It really wasn't funny, some lame ecchi and not that interesting either.

| Comic Party dives into the world of fan-related comics, or doujinshis. Sendo Kazuki is a high school student with the desire to produce a doujinshi that sells well. On the way, he meets several people who help and hinder him.

| I was very apprehensive at the thought of watching an anime about anime and manga fans, it just didn't seem overly appealing, but after picking up the boxset for a bargain price, I was surprised and pleased at just how much I enjoyed this lightweight and fun comedy series ^_^

| Ahh, comic party. I saw this long long ago unknowing what I was getting myself into.
I actually remember liking this anime. It was random , funny, enjoyable, and easy to swallow. Yet, looking back upon the humor anime i"ve seen, I feel it is also quite a waste of time to watch this.
I guess the most interesting part was how it taught you various things about doujinshi fan comics and how things are supposed to look and stuff. It really is Otaku , in an obsessive way...
As for the usual stuff one looks for in anime... It carried nothing with its character, and story development. It doesn't have any! Stereotypes, stereotypes, and more stereotypes
It is not a bad anime. It is done quite well actually. But the audience is not for everyone.
I dont know who would watch this actually. Probably someone who is interesting in this topic of fan-comics and going to conventions would feel at home with this. Otherwise, don't bother.

| I knew I was taking a chance when I got this anime as I had read a lot of reviews that were negative. The positive reviews convinced me, and I'm glad I listened to them now. Comic Party looks and sounds like the average anime, but it really surprised me when I found myself caring for the characters and getting emotional, despite the amount of silliness throughout. I would even call it inspirational. In fact, I think I'm going to go work on a few creative projects I've been procrastinating on... so, if you'll excuse me...

| Pretty pointless anime. It starts off nice and comical, with the explanations about different doujin types and cosplay and stuff, but later it becomes plotless and too predictable...I mean, for a show that's based on an hentai game, I don't think the "moral" of the plot should be "do what you love best, not what you think people would want"?, cause it's just too ironic, seeing as this anime is obviously doing the latter ... >_>
Other than that, the plot is pretty predictable, and there are too many (female) characters, sometimes the main character would meet some girl he supposedly knows, and I had no idea who the F she is, but "oh well, lets keep on watching" that's what I told myself. Visually, this has very nice and smooth animation and decent VA and BGM,but overall, this isn't really a most see, imho

| Comic Party...ever since To Heart, I`ve avoided Aquaplus`s anime like a plague. But when I read reviews on how that company "redeemed" itself with this anime, I decided to give it a chance. A great anime, comedic and with touches of drama. You don`t have to enjoy the doujin world to like this anime.
Animation: Good enough. Running animation is there, characters blink, rare use of repeated cells. I like the neutral character designs and that each character had a unique look and feel to them. Detail is amazing for the convention locations and the way doujinshi is drawn. Great job KSS.
Sound: The OP song is a catchy jpop called Kimi no Mama de and its tune is way overused throughout the series. Anyways, the music serves it`s purpose throughout this anime, although one little quirk I didn`t get was why did the cell phones have weird beeps when someone hangs up or pick up the phone? Taishi is the best. Whenever he comes out some outrageous orchestral piece starts playing. The ED song is also not bad.
Story: Coming from a bishoujo game, I didn`t expect much (and especially coming from the makers of To Heart!). Anyways, Comic Party contains a decent story about the main guy Kazuki making his way through the trials of the doujin world. It also ties a bit in on cosplaying, but not a lot. The story wasn`t very strong, as it was the characters which made this anime shine.
Character: The strongest part of this anime. Each character was fleshed out enough to be memorable. There`s the childhood friend Mizuki, the moe-moe first year Chisa, the obligatory gay buddy Taishi, the cosplayer, the "lincho" type character, Aya, the aspiring new doujin artist (and my fav character!) and two rivalling doujin artists. Yuu and Emi cracked me up the most with their rivalry antics. In the beginning, Kazuki was a smooth pimp. Then towards the middle, he became an ass. Then when he had a "revelation", he became a pimp again. Alas, the anime`s bishoujo game roots show too much in this series. I counted at least 6 girls Kazuki could have ended up with. O well, each character were developed enough to show their individual uniqueness.
Value: I place Comic Party at a pretty good value. Bishoujos: Check. Plot: Sorta check. Drama/Comedy: Check. If you were dissappointed by To Heart, then try Comic Party.
Enjoyment: I thoroughly enjoyed Comic Party. It was funny, sad, and very entertaining.
Comic Party, I think is the best bishoujo game to anime conversion of the year 2001.

| Truely enjoy it. Even though the story is kinda obvious, but the comedy and all the detail about manga will blow you away. Since I'm never been into any convension or any anime expo, I didn't know it had this kinda fun. But after I seen this series, it made want to go there just once in the life time u know just to taste how they do thing. Characters in the story fit the story well, although they didn't go in deep detail or focus on any of them. What they trying shows us is to "how to make Doujinshi" and they told us very well on the concept of it.
Love all of the characters. No ecchi in this series, I repeat NO ECCHI. It's not all fanservice either. It's all well round comedy anime which all of you should watch it. :D

| Now this is a strange one, Comic party is a story about a boy making manga/Doujinshi. Interesting idea, and may work, i have seen other anime with this sort of story but they are usually just one episode side stories.
Comic party's strengths is in its entertaining and somewhat interesting story and characters. Though story may be well predictable, it is still a joy to watch as the anime explains the nature and role of manga. Character-wise, you will love half the cast but wil ldespise the other half, you will feel for the neglected Misuki while also hate Taishi's annoying banter, but overall a solid (but too many) cast.
Now, CP is designed to be a comedy or a spoof of other animes, in fact, though it tries to be funny and make the viewer smile, it fails to do so in many aspects. However, CP has a certain charm to it which makes it enjoyable to watch. Don't expect a down-right spoof/comedy from CP and you probably will enjoy this a lot more than expected.
Overall, enjoyable to watch but don't expect big things from it.

| Comic Party was a farely enjoyable anime about a student named Kazuki who makes doujinshi. The animations were pretty nice except that maybe they need to work on making the guys' faces nicer. Overall, this is an anime suitable for people who dreams of making doujinshi. Otherwise, people who enjoys anime with violent scenes should just avoid this anime.

| After i finished watching all the episodes of Comic Party, I felt this anime is not as good as i thought it would be. but still, the show has its characteristics. the first good thing of the show is it's about doujin-shi, which have a educational purpose, and most anime viewers interesting in those stuff too. Second, the show is real, mostly, and relaxing. The characters are cute but their relationships are a little bit twisted and doesn't feel "natural" when you feel it.
The characters have weights in this anime. Young men and women who are just above to graduate from high school are composing and art of manga, the setting is good enough for me, it really good to see some mature characters (in contrast to high school characters), but they just seems not mature enough, their relationships are just like normal high school kids in most animes--sticky.
Yet my mind is combating with itself about what level this anime should be cataloged. I really think this anime would be something that has a higher level than most other animes, but I at last decided Comic Party is not that good but not bad at all.

| Not a must-see but thoroughly enjoyable. If you like manga and anime conventions or are interested in how they work this is what you're looking for.
If not, you'll just have to make do with the average humor, above average characters, and nice 'find something you love and do it' plot theme. The voice acting is quite good too; I swear, every time Taishi says "My Brother," I crack up. Also stacked with a normal bevy of girls; the shy one, the not-so-shy one, the clutzy one, girl with glasses, and the needy girlfriend, among others.

| My Brothers and My Sisters!!! This is an anime not to be missed. It is one of the most funniest animes you will ever see. Its comedy parallels that of Azumanga. Its full of great and lovable characters like the stealth ninja Taishi. The story was not that great, but it does show you the value of hard work put into manga and cosplay (Not that cosplay is popular in Japan). This anime has good replay value and if you want to watch similar shows then I would recommend Azumanga and Cosplay Complex.

| Mmm, another one of my favorites. All the various aspects of fandom are gently lampooned in this appealing, likable show. Comic Party has some likable characters (especially Taishi and Yuu) and it will resonate best with experienced fans who have dealt with cosplay and doujinshi. And while it's based on a dating simulation, it's not a harem anime. Nice.

| A rather interesting anime, that introduces you to the world of doujinshis and anime meetings.
The animations and art are both average, as is sound.
The story is the one of our basic lazy boy who gets pushed by her childhood friend to accomplish his passion : draw some manga. Of course through his new experiences he will eventually meet friends and fall in love with his childhood friend (yup, yet another one !) but i get the feeling that the whole show was only aimed to let the world know of the doujinshi/manga world in japan (the little bit of romance wasn't very deeply develloped).
The whole things is filled with humour, sometimes it's just silly though (you get tired of seeing girls falling you know).
Anyway it's a good anime, very funny and also interesting in that it actually teachs you something.

| Similar to it's predecessor To Heart, Comic Party is based on what was originally a Hentai game for the PC. Of course, like To Heart, it's animated form has nothing offensive at all in it. Our story revolves around Kazuki, a promising young artist who gets sucked into the world of Doujinshi (Japanese fan made comics) much to the dismay of his would be girl friend Mizuki. The 13 episode series starts out strong with majority of time spent delving into the Anime / Manga / Cosplay / Doujinshi world in several different ways. Sadly around midway the series dragged a bit for me, but overall I was pleased with the outcome. Not as strong as To Heart, but an interesting title for those who like a bit of comedy as well interest in the Japanese Manga / Doujinshi culture.

| This series is covering the issue of Doujinshi in Japan, but it can also be reflected upon your life decisions. Do you really just want to get a 4.0GPA in high school and go into UCLA and study medicine? Or you want to do something else for your life? This series has spoken out for probably lots of the doujinshi drawers because it ain't a easy job for them. After all, there a numerous great artists in Japan and simply drawing good won't get you anywhere without a good plot. I love a few of the characters and the game "Party Breaker" is very nice. ^_^
