| InuYasha was a nice series I watched it mainly in English dubbing, but I'm also aware of the Japanese original voice acting.
The animation was good, the lines and colours as well as the shadows, light and the special effects (like fog or water) were nice to look at. Of course today at 2009 it is not as modern but the show for years in witch it aired is good.
The sound is also a good work, it took a nice and long time for them to make the voice acting and to dub all of the 167 episodes is also a nice work. Because of the number of seasons it took I am not able to remember all of the OPEN and END song, but there was no one of them that I dislike. One thing is for sure good - the voices are perfectly matched to the heroes as in the dubbing as in the original.
Story resolves around a girl named Kagome - she finds herself as the reincarnation of a powerfull and of course not bad looking (:)) priestess - Kikyou. She lives in the modern Japan, but is forced to visit middleera Japan. In all of this also a powerfull and dangerous half-demon find his place named InuYasha. Binded to each other a middle school girl and a half-demon start a quest to solve the history behind Kikyou's death and InuYasha's long hibernation all of this filled with emotions, friends, beliefs and demon hunting.
In my opinion the story is one of the thing that lacks in this series it is a little to simple at the beginning and in the end it was not able to be overcome my expectations. Like there is something missing.
If I'm about to give my opinion on the heroes they are well developed, and well matched, nice and original personality's with emotions and a good aspect of humorous situations.
InuYasha is no ordinary demon nor he is a human to the end with good fighting stile and a pasion in his heart. Ready to fight for his ideal and his friends - not as egoistic as it seams at the beginnig.
Kagome is on one hand an ordinary girl and also an powerfull ally in fight, ready to be brutal as well as possessing kind and warm heart.
Other heroes like Sango and Miroku give a nice variety of occasions to make you laugh and feel refreshed in watching this anime. Not to mentione one of the best anime heroes and villains at the same time - InuYasha's brother - Sesshomaru.
It is a show giving you nice and very good time in front of the TV or your screen, there are some minor things that may or may not disturb you. For me one minus was that the story runs is circles from time to time, like "go there and do this" and after about 15 to 20 episodes again "go there do this" or "do this go there". But you can get used to it and it is not as visible in the overview as it is for me now.

| Inuyasha is a long running and highly popular anime series consisting of 167 24 minute long episodes first aired in 2000. Since then, it has shown steady improvements throughout its four-year running in almost every area, and ranks among the best long running anime shows to date.
One of the most noticeable areas of improvements throughout the episodes of Inuyasha is its graphics and animation. Starting off visually unimpressive, the graphics in Inuyasha become more detailed and better defined as the anime progressed, and the use of CG also increases greatly. Although there are a number of repeated animation sequences, they are extremely scarce given the long running time of the series. Overall, Inuyasha is an anime which transforms into a visually pleasing show, especially in the very later episodes.
Given its running length, Inuyasha has a number of theme songs, some which are more pleasant to listen to, and fit in better with the anime, than others. The background musics are frequently reused, but never in the incorrect situation. As a result, the background music does not feel repetitive, and increases the enjoyment of the anime. One area where Inuyasha truly excels at is its voice acting, both in Japanese and in English. Given the enormous cast of characters featured in the anime, the voice actors do an outstanding job at voicing every character to a very high quality. Although the dialogue is corny at times, the voice acting manages to perfectly express the emotion and attitude of the characters every time.
All these factors combined make Inuyasha an excellent anime to listen to from start to finish.
Although the main storyline of Inuyasha is good, it does not conclude in the 167 episodes. The main highlight of Inuyasha would be its many sub plots, most of which are engaging and highly entertaining. Inuyasha spans a wide range of genres using its sub plots, most of which are executed to a level that rivals anime which solely focus on one genre. Inuyasha contains great humour, wonderful romance, exciting adventure, and captivating drama. But, as with all long running series, there will be episodes and sub plots which are significantly less interesting. For Inuyasha, this happens to be a number of its action related sequences, which tend to be repetitive and predictable.
Nevertheless, as a whole, the storyline of Inuyasha is excellent. It accomplishes most of what it set out to do, and is very enjoyable to follow.
The characters in Inuyasha are plentiful. New characters are constantly introduced, even up to its final episodes. Inuyasha tries to make is cast appear in more than one single episode, however this becomes impossible in the later episodes when the cast increases to a significant number. Nevertheless, all characters, including ones that make no reappearance, are voiced very well. Although this makes the cast come alive, one cannot but help feel a slight disappointment when those characters make no more than a single appearance throughout the whole anime.
Overall, Inuyasha is an anime with something for everyone. Since the main storyline does not conclude by the end of the 167 episodes, numerous anime movies have been released continuing the storyline. I for one cannot wait to watch those movies since I have enjoyed a vast majority of the 167 episodes of Inuyasha. I am confident that anyone who enjoys anime will find something to like in this anime, if not more.

| Inuyasha has been around for a while and it was one of the earlier animes that I watched. I watched it originally on CTN and then (when it went too slow) got the subbed version through 167 and the 4 movies.
The series is about a modern girl who travels through a well and ends up in Feudal Japan where she meets and eventually befriends a half human, half demon dog guy named Inuyasha. It follows their journey to collect shards of a jewel called the Shikon no Tama which holds mystical powers that can be used for good or bad. For the most part, the series was fairly good though it just got way too long and the ending... wasn't what I would call an ending.

| Alright, I've finished the anime some time ago.
Credentials:
I've watched this series in both English and Japanese. I've seen all the movies and all the episodes. I've re-watched some parts to make sure I had the story down.
Animation: 9
For the animation, I gave it a 9 because the facial expressions didn't really do it for me. The fights were great and animated well.
Sound: 10
The voices were great. This is an anime that you would actually like to watch in English. The voices matches perfectly and convey the characters actions and emotions.
Story: 6
The story was great and original. You might be wondering why I gave it a 6, I'll explain. Though the story was great and original, the story was pretty vague in the beginning making it so that the anime could be extended to an infinite number of episodes, though the anime ended at 167 episodes.
Characters: 10
The characters were very unique. This is one of the factors that made this anime so great. They all have their very own unique personality that you wouldn't usually see in an anime.
Value: 4
The ending killed the anime. I would say that about the first 50 episodes or so was great. But like I previously said, the story was so vague that you could extend this anime to an infinite number of episodes. Because of that, the writers ended up ending the anime in the worst possible way. This anime would had been by far better if they ended it at around episode 50 and went into a final movie to sum up the show, but it didn't. I would guarantee you that everybody that watched this anime, all 167 episodes, would tell you it has the worst possible ending for such a great anime. I would not recommend re-watching this anime because not even I would re-watch it. Past episode 50 or so, most of the episodes are fillers that are pointless, though I liked the one where the monk confesses his love to Sango and she does the same.
Enjyoyment: 4
Again, I greatly enjoyed the first 50 or so episodes but the fillers and ending killed it for me. By far, worst ending ever. The ending made sound like the writers just wanted to plain out end the anime and say they quit.
I don't recommend watching past episode 60. If you want, watch teh first 60 or so episodes and skip to the ending. You won't miss much other than Inuyasha's 1 new move. You might want to also watch 110-130 because the fillers end at about 110.
Thank you for reading my review. If you have any questions, pm me on the forums and I'll be glad to clear up some stuff or answer questions.

| I was sucked into this anime from the very beginning. It was good enough to keep me watching...all through 167 episodes, plus the four movies. I would say that I like Inuyasha, but after seeing it all, I don't LOVE Inuyasha. The story is wonderful, the music is great, you learn to love all the characters, and it's a great anime overall. However, after a while it seems as though the series is being dragged on. There are countless fillers and if you missed a couple of episodes later in the series that probably won't affect the story much. I would recommend this anime, but I would advise against hoping for a satisfying ending.

| I loved this series. The action was ok but repetitive and overplayed, but that's not what I liked about Inuyasha. I thought it was really funny and consistently so. The humor somehow never grew stale even though the series was long. There was also great romantic comedy, adorable.
Recommended for boys and girls young and old though you may have to be somewhat childlike at heart to relish it. This is a series I will always remember fondly. I was actually really sad when it was over, I could've just kept watching forever.

| Inuyasha is an anime classic IMO!
No one should say Inuyasha SUCKS becuz that is certainly not true! Inuyasha has everything that a classic shounen should have: characters, plot and animation! Many shounen animes i found were below Inuyasha in terms of these aspects

| Inuyasha wasn't a horrific anime and it was quite enjoyable. But it didn't really appeal to me as a wonderful work of animation.
It's fun to watch at times because of the humor and the interesting characters. The concept of the whole half-demon thing was quite nice and the way emotional rivalry was depicted (Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru) was very original.

| InuYasha was one of the first anime I ever watched. During this time, I had high hopes for this anime and it seemed to meet all my expectations, in the beginning at least.
There were lots of potential in this anime in the first few episodes. As it dragged on however, I found that a lot of the episodes were rather repetitive. (ie. The group goes on their merry way, and run into a problem. They fight, win, and then continue on their merry way, once again.) The series also tends to drag on, and on and on... and on.
The animation in this anime wasn't extremely well done but wasn't very bad either. I guess you can say that it was quite average for an anime made in this decade. Overall, the characters wore the same clothes about 99.9% of the time and the background for the most part stayed the same. Villagers from all the villages looked the same. While this makes it easier to tell who's who it gets rather boring and repetitive all the same.
I quite enjoyed the opening and ending themes, one of my favourites was Come by Namie Amuro. The opening and ending themes were very memorable, even now, two years after I had watched this anime. The sounds in this anime were really good, the sound effects matched well and the background music added to the effect without distracting the audience or boring them to tears. Of course, the random war cries from Inu Yasha in fight scenes are cool too.. barely.
The plot was somewhat unique and it had lots of potential. It's the length that I have a problem with. While, it sure gives the audience something to look forward to, the omph and awe from the first season sort of faded as a lot of the happenings started getting old, and extremely predictable. It also prevented a lot of people who were just not interested enough to finish watching it till the end.
A lot of people do not enjoy rushed animes, and this is probably the reason that they dragged it on. But I'm sure if I had to choose between a rushed and dragged on anime, I would choose rushed. I would be a little bit more motivated to finish it.
The characters in this anime were nicely developed, each having their own personalities. There was little character development from the first to last episode. I liked that all the characters were distinct and not all the same.
I think that if you were to watch this, be prepared to get bored around episode 50, as it takes about 10 episodes for them to get from one place to the other. This anime has its funny parts as well as cute parts. Sure it can be good at times, though the ending does irk me, but I think it would be rather hard to sit through 167 more or less episodes AGAIN.
There are animes of this length that is just simply better. If you are prepared, then watching InuYasha isn't so bad, it does have it's good points.

| I love the openings, they make sense. You would think so too if you saw this anime and heard its openings. This is one of those romance animes. Kagome is the reborn form of kikyo who died, and Inuyasha loved Kikyo, when Inuyasha met Kagome he liked her too. Probelms spring up when Kikyo is revieved by a witch. Kikyo is out to kill Inuyasha because she thought he betrayed her and caused her death. Sadly this anime has FILLERS the poison that can kill or harm any goood anime, like Bleach or Naruto. I hate inuyasha FILLERS and I wouldn't rewatch the whole series. I like anime with halfdemons and Inuyasha reminds me of Devil May Cry 3(this is a video game) except Inyasha is way longer with less action. Inuyasha is fairly similar to Devil May Cry, the two brothers out to kill each other, the swords, and the revived preistess of doom. This anime Inuyasha needs to develop its romance more.

| What is a story with a poor ending? It's like that of a Birthday cake without frosting or dirty drinking water. Inuyasha starts off fresh and wonderful... but it left me asking more than once, "Is it over yet?"

| I have decided to take a different approach with this review. In my review of Yuugiou:Duel Monsters, I reviewed by saga, an experiment which had mixed results, so here, for a similar series (in terms of length) I will experiment once more, this time reviewing by the categories given below each section.
Inuyasha is overall an average show, saved from complete and utter mediocrity by superior animation and excellent scoring.
With all that said, this is my 50th review, so let’s get to it.

| This would have been the best anime series ever, except that it went up to 165 episodes without an ending. I tend to dislike anime that extends further than 100 episodes because I don't really like filler episodes. However, it is the characters that pulls the story through boring moments. As long as these characters were there, I didn't mind watching dumb filler episodes. This is a show for everyone, but don't be too happy with the ending progress.

| inuyasha is one othe fist anime that i have ever seen aning me into anime and i must say i love this show to death.yes, inuyasha ms 100+ episodes of fun, action, romance, adventure, comedy, eechi, fantasy ,horror and every other genre.
animation- the animation was very good and clean. the characters were drawn so well especially sango and naraku.the scenery goes very well with what this show is about and the art.the colors are very good and used well on every character .the design was great for the weapondry from the tetsuiga to the tetsaga and mirokus staff and sangos bomerang.te deamons had a great design they actually looked like demons.
sound- the sound had some of the best soundtracks to date it had such great ending and oppening songs from change the world to my personal favorite fuki mori.
story- well here is the basic story inuyasha a deamon fell in love with a priestess and then they killed eachh other and was pegged to the treee and a couple 100 years a girl name kagome released him from the tree and now with a big group of characters they fight naraku and put the shikan jewl back together so they can individually make there wishes come true.
characters-tnhis had a great cast it was also very large . the main cast consist of inuyasha, kagome sango a ninja, miroku a budhist priest, kierara sangos demon cat, shippo a lil fox deamon and miyoga.the bad guys were so cool and i loved them they rock . naraku is the ultimate evil and all his incarnations were interesting in there own way from kagura reelous and wants to kill him to lifless kana.
enjoyment- this is one of the single best anime ever yes it may have alot of episodes and it ddoes have filler but i dont see you complainin about naruto.all in all its a great series witha cast that is fun to watch there adventures .

| I will break this review down into 3 sections, the first section relates to the first 50 episodes, the second relates to the second 50 episodes, and the last relates to the last 67 episodes.
(Episodes 1 – 50): First and foremost, do not expect a series without fillers, some boring filler episodes at that. Inuyasha took a long time to gain momentum, it’s only until the main arch-villain of the series is introduced, albeit indirectly, that there existed a sense of direction for the series, a goal. Just when thing were looking up, when you feel that the story is going somewhere, instead of a series composed of one enemy after another, one shard collected after another, thing damped down again.
This seemed to be the core problem of the first 50 episodes. No sooner did something exciting get introduced, it swiftly phased out again from the main storyline. After Naraku the arch-villain was introduced, the story diverted to gathering characters for the group. If it wasn’t this, then it was Kagome going home. This stop-go tempo really disrupted the enjoyment.
Certain episodes would leave you on a real cliff-hanger, but why they couldn’t do that for more, if not all episodes is a mystery, since there were so much that could be cut out and so much that could be added instead. For a story that is enveloped with Japanese myth, the episodes had the potential be more coherent, and in general, more interesting plots.
As for the characters, Inuyasha took a long time for me to like, unlike Goku In Dragonball Z, or Gutz in Berserk, or Mugen and Jin in Samurai Champloo. There was, in all honesty, something annoying about Inuyasha to begin with. This was the likely reason why it took a while to get use to him. The very broken and loose storytelling right in the beginning did not serve to help in any way whatsoever. Dialogues were painfully simple and pretentious. Perhaps what would have been an improvement is to cut back on the dialogue. The other main characters were even harder accustom to. Since Inuyasha is undoubtedly the most outstanding character in this series, the others were ordinary in comparison. If Inuyasha took some time for me to accept, the others were even harder. By the 50th episode, I have still not grown fond of the monk, Sango, or Shippo yet. I have only adapted to Inuyasha and Kagome fully. I doubt this issue would be address in the future, the reason being that apart from Inuyasha and Kagome, the other characters within the gang has somewhat set into a mould. I’m unsure as to whether they can change all that much now.
Onto the more peripheral factors; animation was very good in fact, especially for a series this long. There was consistency and no visible shortcuts on animating. Still, you’ll have to cope with the occasional repeats of scenes as characters re-narrate and re-live what happened. Sound quality was fair, there were rarely moments where the sound really stood out. However I feel that the sound was used in Inuyasha to chiefly introduce. The good guys have their theme, the bad guys have their theme, the fun times have its theme and the sad times also has its own them.
(The other sections will be reviewed when I finish them as I am currently watching Inuyasha right now…)

| Inuyasha had the potential to be great.. but did not quite carry through. The series had action, romance, and a brilliant story. However, instead of enhancing the each of these characteristics, the anime seem to bleached it out as the series went on.
Animation - Good but not great. There's moments where things are eye popping then there are moments where it look just like any anime that came before it.
Sound - The English cast of voices can get annoying sometimes then I might say the same about the Japanese ones also. I would have given the sound a 6 or 7. However, what truly helped me reconsider was the music. The ending themes are awesome (most of them).
Story - The story started off great, but it gets dull after the series kept stretching out further and further. In all honesty, the story could have been concluded in 50 episodes are less. However, the story stray off path with random side events and useless missions. Basically "fillers". The ending wasn't even all that conclusive either.
Character - The cast of characters were unique. However, the character individual and character to character relationships do not do any major improvements. They take forever to develop and after 50 or so episodes you tend to stop caring. Also characters' relationship in this anime is like a light switch. One episode it's "on" they're in love all is well. Next episode it's "off" total turmoil...who loves who..?
Inuyasha is all talk and no show. What truly killed the series is how it try to strech out a single story for countless episodes (167 + movies). Like the saying goes, "quality over quantities."

| Usually I despise when animes stretch over 100 episodes (Naruto, Dragon Ball Z, Rurouni Kenshin, etc) and that has not changed with Inuyasha. There is no doubt in my mind that the best parts of this series occur before episode 80 or so. However, that does not stop this from being a good series.
Though there are many side stories, each is interesting and exciting. Even the "monster of the week" episodic nature of this anime does not hold it back, as each of the episodes is well done and interesting; each is also unique and so the story does not get repetitive. There is no telling whether or not they will succeed in their quest in a given episode, or whether they will fail. This constant unkown gives the series a greater watchability than if the good guys won every time.
The sound was one of the best parts of this series, with an amazing soundtrack, especially the opening and ending songs throughout the series.
The story is great, though it could have done with a bit less filler and an actual ending. Hopefully the story will eventually be finished for real.
However, as of right now, even 160+ episodes are not enough to end this series. Even though there are plenty of times during the series where there could have been an exciting and conclusive end to the series, each time Naraku escapes and the series drags on for another 20 episodes. This is probably the most frustrating aspect of this series: no matter what the heroes do, it seems Naraku is invincible and omniscient, and can plan for every eventuality and escape the unescapable situation every time.
The characters are another great part about this anime. Kagome and Inuyasha are both multi-dimensional deep characters whose relationship is very complex and compells you to keep watching to find out whats happened. The growth of Kagome and Inuyasha is also apparent throughout the series, but especially in the first 30-40 episodes. Side characters like Shippo, Kirara, Miroku, and Sango add spice and flavor to the already solid character foundation, and each character is given the neccessary background information and depth to create truly engaging characters.
The villians are another great part about this anime: villians like Sesshoumaru, Naraku and his minions, and others are all tremendously done, with a depth and uniqueness to each villian making the conflict between the villians and heros all the more intense. The devious and cunning nature of the villians, especially Naraku, is also an amazing feature of the anime, as you never know what could happen next.
Overall, I truly enjoyed this anime, even the filler episodes, and never got bored during any episodes, though as I stated my favorite parts of the anime occur during the first half of the series.

| Inuyasha is the latest creation of the genius Rumiko Takahashi, and her worst one (as others say), I kind of agree to be honest, her but some people say that this is crap, and that a thing that I can never accept. There are so many brainless animes out there in the top 200, and this is definitely not one of them.
The story takes place back in the feudal era of Japan, but also the modern times is shown as part of the setting. The main focus are on the 5 main characters Inuyasha, Kagome, Sango, Miroku and shippou and their quest to find all the pieces of the shikon shards and to bring down Naraku, who is known to be the root of all evil.
