| Animation / Sound:
Typical old-school animation. Not bad, but not great either. The music is surprisingly good in this one, especially the BGM soundtrack. It fits the movie perfectly.
Story:
The plot isn't exactly complex, nor is it very original. However, it's a good enough storyline for a popcorn action flick that is City Hunter. The story moves at a nice quick pace, and there's a lot of good action and humor in this movie.
Characters:
Our protaganist duo Ryo and Kaori are joined by your typical City Hunter-type supporting cast. Not much to say here, except that Ryo is just the perfect James Bond-type character in anime.
Conclusion:
This movie won't win any awards, but it will entertain you. The story has enough action and humor as not to bore you. I recommend it if you are a fan of City Hunter or if you are just looking for an old-school popcorn action flick.

| I'm not overly familiar with City Hunter, read a bit of the manga and saw just the first episode of the TV series, but I have to say this is a pretty good movie.
Art, story, all this is I guess your typical City Hunter (art prolly a step up), but Ryo himself in this movie seemed a bit more over-the-top than usual. Again, I haven't seen much of it, but he's jackass in SS, and it started to get on my nerves by the end.
I would say take a look, it works as a City Hunter addition, or as a stand-alone movie. Good stuff.
