| Afters seeing Sister Princess, i decided to check out ~Repure because it's all the same characters, and i figured, despite all the negative things i've heard about it "I can't be THAT bad, can it? Its still the same girls, same seiyuu's etc"
I was more wrong than i thought. First off, the voice actor of Wataru is different, he went from having a somewhat dorky voice to having a normal "i'm the main male character im so awesome" voice. That's already a turn off, but even more so, the story itself.
NOTHING HAPPENS. With half an episode dedicated to the episode itself, not a lot of plot development, and there's no continuity, so 13 minutes to get a plot with 12 girls makes it pretty bad. And if you think that it MIGHT be even, lets just say i think this should be renamed "Kaho Repure" I like Kaho as much as the next person, but when she's THIS boring...no...

| The good thing is that the graphics and animation is greatly improved over the original Sister Princess, each girl looks more detailed and distinct from each other and the backgrounds are beautiful.
The bad part is that the second season still contains no story at all, and even worse, the settings seems to be in a completely different place than the first season. For some reason, the brother is separate from all his sisters and he has to take time to visit each of here sister and they seems to live in a totally different city/country from the first installment.
The story is more corny and stupid as ever, each story basically tells you how much each of the sister loves her brother over and over again. The only decent part is that each second half of the episode will reveiw a bit of their history with their brother.
I watched it only because I have watch the first season. If you have watch the first season and don't mind suffering again, by all means go and watch it. But if you have never heard of this series at all, then stay the heck away from this series.
PS Good thing Yamada is not here in this season or I would have gone crazy!

| Looks like the producers had a bigger budget this time around. But that doesn't save this sequel from its own lackluster script.
First off, Kaho & Sakuya gets more screen time than other characters. Kaho had like 3 eps and Sakuya hogged 2 and a half. If you aren't a fan of those two sisters you'll probably be a little disappointed in not seeing your sister enough.
The animation looks better this time but still pales in comparason to the many titles from the same year.
The story is the major flaw of this series. So what is the story of this sequel? I'll tell you precisely: ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!! Basicly each sister live in their own house this time and we see Wataru hanging around with them happily. There's little continuety between episodes. Nothing special or spectacular happens anywhere. Instead of the supposed serenity, the producers created the atmosphere called BOREDOM. Usually, a story is propelled by conflicts. In repure, there is ABSOLUTELY NO CONFLICT.
Character:
Yamada is not here and thats a major plus to me. Mami appears as a cameo at a bakery shop. Each character gets their "special individual time" at the second half of each episode. None of which are particularly well written or interesting. You all love your brother....we get it now so shut up.
Value:
The incest tone is a bit heavier this time as we get to see some of the characters wanting to marry Wataru...
Enjoyment:
I didn't see enough Chikage....thus little enjoyment. No event in the entire 13 episode was even remotely interesting to me. I got tired of all the characters talking about how much they love their brother.
Overall it was worst then the original. Much worst.

| This is probably the most boring and worst series ever introduced to me. It is wrong in so many ways and is just plain tedious. I couldn't stand watching three episodes, which isn't many episodes.
If you think the animation will make up for what's in store here? You are wrong, you see - that's what I thought at first. Pleasing your eyes isn't everything in relation to being enjoying and anime series.
I have no idea what else to say, it's something I would definately not recommend and I will certainly avoid watching it again.
An average total of 3.5 is pretty high for an anime series that sucks this bad.

| Fluff (background story, for those who don't know) nuts and masters rejoice, for all those who actually enjoyed Sister Princess this is just more fluff.
Nothing has really changed, but they do live seperately now. This is nothing more than filler for all those unanswered questions, if you had any.
Cuteness still runs amok and the feel of togther forver sticks. Well at least most of them have come to terms with liking their dear brother too much, although the fluff nut within wants to see how it all irons out in the end.
So if you liked its predecessor and want more fluff with you anime this is for you. If not then go through the Ardennes (should you be confused look up the Battle of the Bulge). Hey I've seen worse examples of this type perhaps none of you remeber the great bomb of 1983 "Flowers in the Attic" (I pity those who were dragged into it). It's much more akin to Luke and Leia kissing tongue and all (The Empire Strikes Back).
-Nuts.

| Sister Princess ~Re Pure~ took an uninteresting anime and made it that much more unintersting. Entirely filler and without any conflict whatsoever, this anime is without a doubt the most boring anime ever made. Wow. I mean, zzzzzzzzzzz, seriously. It's a real shame too because the animation is beautiful, as is the music. In fact, I would actually recommend buying the soundtrack. Avoid the anime itself at all costs though. This just might be the worst anime I have ever seen.

| Sequels are tricky. Trickier still are sequels to shows that weren't really that good in the first show. Such is the case with Sister Princess. The first was shallow, messy and ultimately pointless. Hence, much was not expected from the follow-up, RePure. I was mildly and pleasantly surprised. Although still mere fluff, RePure improved on the original in almost every aspect.
Firstly, RePure's has a total change in structure as gone is an underlying story, replaced by a more episodic nature with each episode split into 2 parts. The first, an adventure with one or more of the sisters followed by a particular story narrated by one of the sisters. No doubt this will be a bone of contention to some, given that the original was fillerish with a worthless overall story, I welcomed the change. As a result, although equally disposable, the actual stories were tighter and less boring.
The main draw of the show is the second part featuring the sisters. With superb art and animation and backed by an outstanding Ritsuko Okazaki backing track, these parts of the show shone much better than the first parts. Inevitably some were better than others, but most managed in half an episode what the original failed to do in an entire season: make me care for the sisters. With simple, short stories (although sometimes TOO simple ie Karen's), many of them are brilliant. Rin Rin's and Sakuya's are particular highlights despite their contrasting styles, with RinRin's ultra cute designs coupled with a warm story compared to Sakuya's more shady and slightly creepy tale, with an impassioned Yui Horie bringing the goods. Some like Karen's & Aria's are somewhat twee and a bit flat but the art and music are still sublime.
However, that is only half a show. The rest is still merely fluff, but the changes from the original allows it surpass it effortlessly. It's by no mean great, and it's appreciation increases by watching the original. No bad. Mildly diverting and thus is mildly recommended.

| Well I didn't watch Sister Princess, so I can't see what's that bad about RePure. The two shows shouldn't be compared; they have different concepts altogether and hell, it's not meant to be a bloody sequel either, it's more of a side-story. Why compare oranges and grenades?
Each episode is divided into two parts, the first half is a random story about something inane(usually) and the second half focuses on one of the sisters and their feelings/thoughts/experiences and what their brother means to them.
The first part is typical shoujo anime fare, nothing spectacular and quite boring really. The second part is much more interesting as you get a little insight into each sister with a Enid Blyton-like fairy tale and excellent songs that fit perfectly.
It's slow, nonsensical, the characters are like dead wood. But the animation is top notch, the music is excellent.
Give it a try, you might like it, y'know?

| The 1st season of Sister Princess is much better than Repure. Apparently, the original idea and storyline were thrown out the window and this is somewhat of a retelling. There's no real consistent storyline as opposed to the first, since more focused is given to each of the girls instead of the brother, Wataru. Although the redeeming value of RePure is the individual segments about each of the sisters which involve some interesting imagery that reflects each of them, along with the music score in the segments and in the stories. Very nice opening sequence to the show.

| Ok, This season were more like anime music video than another series. Each ep. saparate into 2 part that was mean nothing. It really boring to watch all 12 ep. Although ep.13 is somewhat good, so if you don't want to waste time watching all those senseless ep. skip all and just watch ep.13 then maybe you'll like it (maybe)

| What the heck is this? This thing makes no sense. First off, apparently all the sisters and brother have moved off the island and into their own homes. Second, some (like Kaho) have aged (she’s in junior high) while others (like Hinako) are the same (she’s still in kindergarten), yet they all look the same. Kaho apparently lives with her mother and others have apparently grew up with their brother even though in the first series no one even knew they had siblings. Aria lives in a huge mansion by herself, which doesn’t make much sense. The story’s created so many more holes that I just plain stopped watching by the seventh episode (which I don’t know why I watched so many in the first place). The animation’s good. The sound is still good BUT it sounds like someone else doing the brother’s voice, which already is a big down point in the series before you even start to notice the plot holes. The series is supposed to be one episode per sister but that’s only the 5-10 minutes at the end. The bulk of the episode is a random stand alone story (Kaho had 3 of the 7 I saw). Characters seem even more shallow than the first one. No value. And you can tell I didn’t really enjoy this. I don’t recommend this even for Sister Princess fans. It makes the first series look much worse.

| Sister Princess Re-Pure is a strange beast, and following the success of the first TV series, this new one tries capture a feel closer to the essence of the original games (which the first TV series failed to).
As others have mentioned the anime is divided into two parts, the first being a short story, and the 2nd part focusing on a specific girl. I gained the most enjoyment out of the segments dedicated the specific girls. I enjoyed the whimsical almost fairy tale'ish presentation of the segments.
Definitely not a series for everyone, it's slow with not real over arcing plot and comes off as something along the lines of watching a series of short stories.

| If you loved the first season and love animes like Sentimental Journey or Seraphim Call, you will love the Repure version. To tell you the truth I've only seen the first episode but it was really promising, We will know more about the sisters since some of them stayed in the background in the first season. And this seems more beautiful than the previous one.

| I liked the first Sister Princess series, only to find that for RePure they took everything I liked about the first series (the comic elements, the setting, the interaction among the cast) and utterly, completely crushed it. It's like for the second series they decided they'd take the original show and turn it into a drama where nothing at all happens, and each sister gives a long, narrated testimonial to onii-chan. Just awful.

| I was looking forward to this series when news about first came about. However, the story is terrible. Very boring. Each episode is about each sister. No comic relief. No plot. It has a very serious tone. It was torture for me to watch the first 5 episodes hoping that there's some redeeming quality in it but I gave up on that. If you were a fan of the first season, don't watch this. It totally destroys the value of the anime.
I'd like point out though, that the animation is well done and the music is good. The opening is nice!

| At least Sister Princess had some nice humor and story to it, but this is simply...disappointing. Nice animation and sound, but NO PLOT at all. It's basically like a documentary for all the 12 sisters. Very little humor to almost none at all. Only Sister Princess hardcore fans (and those who are attached to a certain SP girl) may be interested in this, but to the rest, try to avoid at all costs.
Watch the first SP series instead.

| This is even worse than the first series. It's just the sisters with their own little stories that Wataru is barely even in, where they make a big deal out of the dumbest crap. Like one sister was going to give her brother pansy seeds from the flowers they planted, but then she lost them, so she was gonna cry. WHOOPDEEDOO

| Okay the animation is pretty, the music is nice....but even though that's what usually gets me to like an anime it fails this time. It's almost like taking a hentai game and making it into an anime without the H scenes. In the "separate" sister parts you barely see any of Wataru (like never his face) and it's usually just the sister blabbing on about how much she's in love with her brother (I can only take so much incest guys ok?) But the humor of the other characters from season 1 is gone, which makes this really boring and plotless and too mushy. Perhaps the guys will like it since it's fulla "kawaii onna no ko" but girls, don't waste your time with this.
