| Although there is little story to this anime, I still give it a good score. The animation and sound fits the shows cute charms and kiddiness. Even though I am a goth teenager, I've always liked this show because I used to own hamsters when I was a little kid.

| I watch this anime with my 5 year old niece. She enjoys it more than I do, but it is still cute and funny, especially the sounds the hamsters make. The stories can be viewed on their own.
My niece discuss the episodes with me after we watched it. I think it is important for kids to recount events and also critically analyse them. For that reason I give the enjoyment and value ratings above average.

| I went easy on Hamtaro because this is an anime aimed at kids. Hence, a child would obviously enjoy more than I did, and as far as kids' animes go- they don't get a whole lot better than Hamtaro. God knows it's better for kids than watching a couple of guys playing cards, or tops, or robots, or monsters that come out of little red balls...

| This anime is good for kids, but if you buy it you will soon be wishing you had FLCL. Overall better and more imaginative than that Blues Clues and Dora crap.

| I love this to death. It's been my favorite anime for 4 years, and I'm sure it's not going to ever change. Even though it doesn't come on here anymore, I still will never forget the cute fluffiness of the little ham-hams! The animation flows with the show very nicely. The only problem with the style was that when they close their eyes it looks like fuzzy caterpillers dabbed with rain drops. Anyway, the sound is great, the voicing is WONDERFUL and AMAZING and the opening theme will just give you a tooth ache! Character gets two thumbs up. All the hamsters are different in their own way. Most characters in anime all share the same interests or have no distinct personality but this one is sooo different! Even if you are over than 10, you should watch this. Personally I don't think it's even for kids that much. It's an anime for everyone to enjoy. =) Of course, don't let anyone who gives something a bad review stop you from watching it! Each anime is good in it's own way and should be appreciated for that. Thank you ^^

| This is a great show... for little kids. If your older you might enjoy it too, like me, but don't count on it. There ain't a plot but the episodes are nice to watch. I only watched one season or something, and that's probably just enough to keep it fresh. I don't think I would like it as much when I saw all 100 episodes, because they are probably all the same and probably the hamsters will do even more farfetched things. I still wish it would still be broadcasted though...

| This series is for little kids or freaks who are obsessed with hamsters. I DONT CARE IF YOUR EIGHT YEARS OLD, YOU SHOULD HAVE ENOUGH SENSE TO WATCH SOMETHING THAT TEACHES YOU SKILLS, LIKE HOW TO ENSLAVE SMALL CREATURES WHO SAY THERE NAME OVER AND OVER AND MAKE THEM FIGHT IN GLADITORIAL COMBAT. Theres absolutly no plot beyond the little rodents need to solve a stupid problem. Thats all there is to this show. Its not cute or adorable, just stupid. And whats worse, for the longest time I had the stupid theme song stuck in my head. This show made me want to kill every hampster I see.

| It's anime for children so there's not much to say about it, just silly story with no development.
The hamsters look cute for a while but then they are SO repetitive and boring.
The thing that I like the most was the ending when Hamtaro is dancing, oh that was SO cute.

| I think a lot of these reviews are unfair, especially the ones who give all ones in every category.
I give it a 6 for animation because the animation is cute and decent. To give it a 1 is to say that it's choppy, colourless, ugly, and THE WORST thing you've ever looked at. (I've seen bad animation)
I love the new theme song, so I gave it a high mark. I'd give it a 1 if it had no sound, or it made my ears hurt.
I had to give a low mark for story, because there is no story. I'm not holding it against it; it just has no conflict, just little crises.
Character: there are characters, with personalities, so it deserves a mark above 1
Value: It's free cuz it's on TV, and no one is making you watch it.
Enjoyment: I enjoy watching this show in the morning; If you don't enjoy this show, by all means give it a 1.

| Wai!! I love Hamtaro!! I've seen almost all of the two seasons that are on TV, and Hamtaro birthday special, so I think I should review it...
Well, I've only see it dubbed, but I think its pretty funny...
one complaint is that some episodes were taken out of order..for example (I'm gonna used dubbed names here...) Roberto introduction episode is after one he has already been in...and Glitter is the evil witch in Lauras dream, and then in an episode month later, we find out who she is..so I think ShoPro should think about chronology...but it's really funny!!
As well, this show is a bit sexist..like the girl Ham-chan's are always sitting around doing girly things..and never the guys...but maybe I just think that's stupid.
I wanna see it subbed one day!! I would definetly buy the DVDs if it included subbed versions as well *hint hint*

| Seriously, this is your basic kiddie anime, not meant to be taken seriously, not to find the abstract meaning of life, no philosophical discoveries etc...but to provide enjoyment and kawaiiness for 20 min. It's a hate it or love it anime, with most people hating it.

| This show bores my 6 year old siblings, so I don't know how older people can actually sit and watch this. And don't give me that "but it's cute" crap, because I almost drowned in my own drool 'cause I fell asleep attempting to watch it.
Ahem, please don't waste your time or money on this hamster stuff. Anything is better than this - Sailor Moon or even....DBZ!

| So this doesn't have a plot, but how many children shows do? You people need to remember who this anime is aimed at. If I was a child, I know that I would enjoy it (heck, I liked Gumby)
Anyway, the sound for this anime wasn't all that bad. The characters, though they didn't develop, were enjoyable. I'm not very found of the animation of the humans in this anime (Big heads and extreamly skinny bodies, what's up with that?), but I'm fine with how they made the hamsters (they're cute!). For enjoyment, all I can say is that I was entertained, as were my cousins and little brother who happen to be the right age for this anime.
Remember, this anime was made for children, not for teens or adults.

| Ok, it isn't the best anime in the world, but I think a lot of people are giving it a bad reputation for the wrong reasons. As a guy, I'm not into the cutsey-utsey stuff, but I found this anime to be watchable when I first saw it. Now, I find it kind of lame and repetitive (There is no plot whatsoever), but it's a tad better than some of the anime that is being shown on TV (*cough* *cough* "DBZ", "Pokemon", *Beyblade*). What really disturbed me about this anime, was the showing of the anus. Whenever they show the dog or the Hampsters from behind, they always show there ass-holes. I'm kind of surprised (and disturbed) that the people behind the DUB didn't edit it or blot it out.

| I can only guess this anime entertains it's target audience quite efficiently: young children, mainly girls (but not necessarily). It doesn't try to be just another stupid endless adventure like Pokemon or Digimon. Just simple stories with cute characters. It shouldn't be necessary to say what to expect from this series. Not too bad but not too good either.
As Mr. Mechanical already said, I'd recommend Sakura instead. Probably Sugar and Puchi Puri Yuushi too.
I have to agree with Dakion. Horrible english voice acting. The brazilian was quite decent.
It's interesting to think how this anime affected hamster sales in Japan and it's consequences. It should also be interesting to see how an anime like this affects the virtual pet market in Japan.

| Heh, and this is got to be just the Cutest anime i have ever watched. Along with Sister Princess. Well the only reason why i watched it it was because i was tired of Digimon, Pokemon, Dragon ball Z and Gundam Wing on tv all the time cuz thats about all they give here in Canada. So i watched Hamtaro. Cute, plain cute, for any person who ever said anime is pure porn and offending women, is WRONG and now you can prove it in a nother way, and anothe anime. The ending video for Hamtaro will make your little sister go "AWWWWWW!!!" and hug the tv/computer whatever. But could you blame them, this anime is so, well heartwarming for those who actually want to see an anime thats not fanservice or porn, you can sit down and watch the 102+ episodes. Its nice anime and should be watched by the whole family. heh, look at me, i personally dont watch this types of animes.

What I think is sad.. Is people review this anime like it was for adults... Its a childrens show for six to ten year olds! For gods sake... You have to review it for kids not you.. You probably thought Sesame Street was the next best thing since sliced cheese when you watched it as a little kid.. But now ofcorse you think it sucks.. Thats because its for kids!!

| Hamtaro blieb bei mir in punkto Unterhaltung vollkommen auf der Strecke. Die Serie ist für Säuglinge und einfach gestrikt was in unbändiger Langeweile ausartet. Na gut die Ham Hams (oder wie war das?) sind ja wirklich kawaii und lassen wohl das Herz eines jeden 0-6jährigen höher schlagen aber ähnlich wie bei Doremi kann mich diese Serie nicht im geringsten überzeugen und verleitet mich zu energischem Wegschalten...

| I guess if I was a 3 year old kid that thought hamsters were eatable, i'd rate this higher. But this anime is quite horrible. The english voice acters make it very anoyying, and i'd rather watch rocks grow then this. The reason I rated the characters high, is because, hey, hamsters are cute and furry, I like animals. I also rated the enjoyment high, because it's funny to watch.

| It seems like Hamtaro's been looked at way to harshly then it should have. It's not a bad anime by any means, and the idea is unique for a childs show. That's what it is, though. A childs show. Obviously older viewers wouldn't appreciate it, but for children it's a great show all would love. The characters are unique and lovable, and every episode ends with a happy ending.
