| Fujishima Kosuke was born on the 7th of July 1964 in Chiba, Japan.
In 1986, a comic series called "Be Free!" by Tatsuya Egawa was turned into a live action movie. Fujishima Kosuke did a report on the making of the film called the Making of Be Free! in a comic style. In it, he created a couple of policewomen in the presentation of the report. The policewomen were received very well by the reading public, this led to the creation of Fujishima's first series called "Taiho Shichauzo!" or as it is known in English: "You're Under Arrest!". It first came to print in Morning Party Extra in 1986.
In 1988, Fujishima did a four panel comic short as part of a contest where readers could win loads of Taiho Shichauzo merchandise. In it, Natsumi and Miyuki (the 2 policewomen) were praying to this goddess to let them win the contest. Fujishima liked how the goddess turned out, so this led to the creation of the goddess Belldandy. On the 25th of September 1989, the Oh My Goddess! series debuted in Comic Afternoon. And the rest is history.
His love for machines is extremely obvious in his extremely detailed drawings of vehicles in the manga.Fujishima Kosuke has also recently done the character designs for the Sega Saturn RPG Sakura Taisen.
