12 Kokuki 2007-01-15 Genre: Adventure, Fantasy

My Rating: 9/10

This is one of the best Animes around. It is rare to see a 'political' type of Anime around. And man, they sure did a great job.

There are many different Arcs in this Anime, and they serve to show the many different happenings in the various countries. But the main focus would still be Youko, and her development to become a 'wise' Queen, as well as to remove those corrupted officials.

Twelve Kingdoms is an unique Anime, and its a must watch!
AA! Megami Sama TV 2007-01-18 Genre: Romance, Comedy, Fantasy

My Rating: 7/10

Belldandy is the sweetest Goddess ever! Keiichi is one of THE most useless wimp ever (comparable to Kei)! No kiss after 2 seasons, WTF?

That's right, AMG is pretty much those typical 'shy-boy-like-hot-girl' (Goddess in this case) type of Anime. No real plot, had a slice of life touch to it.

But AMG has its good points in that its funny, and that there are many likable side chars (Skuld, Ard, and Ard's mom).

Quite good. Try it.
AIR TV 2007-01-18 Genre: Drama

My Rating: 5/10

I have been told by many other Otakus about how good this series was. Despite that, AIR did not connect with me. I was pretty much disappointed with the plot and ending. Perhaps it ain't my type, perhaps it was due to my high expectations of the series due to the recommendations from the Otakus. IMO, the series was too short. The ending was squeezed into 4 Episodes. If there was a much better ending, I would have gave it a 7.5-8.
Cowboy Bebop 2007-01-15 Genre: Action, Adventure, Comedy, Sci-Fi

My Rating: 9/10

Cowboy Bebop's is one of the best Animes around. Can be considered a classic.

What makes it so great would be the coolest of Spike. He seems like the typical laid-back guy, but actually does his bounty job with style and coolness. Jet's also rather funny. Although the episodes felt like 'problem-of-the-episode' kind, they actually gradually reveal more about the characters past.

Must watch. If you haven seen it, do so NOW.
Fate/stay night 2007-01-15 Genre: Action, Fantasy, Romance

My Rating: 8.5/10

The series which rekindled my interest in Anime. Found out about F/SN while I was browsing deviantART for wallpapers. As I'm pretty much a fan of Action/Romance genre combo, this series went into my good books easily. What made me enjoy this series was the good plot, as well as Sabre and Archer (screw Shirou, he's useless). Graphics was quite good too. However, the series should have extended a little bit. The last arc felt kind of rushed.
Gundam SEED 2007-01-15 Genre: Action, Sci-Fi, Mecha, Romance

My Rating: 8.5/10

Gundam SEED was actually my first ever Anime. And man, what an impression it was. Freedom was uber cool, give it the METEOR and it would be ultra uber cool. I have not seen any other Animes with fight scenes like SEED. You might argue however that the many scenes were repeated. But who cares! They still looked cool. One thing I did not like was the constant flashbacks and recapped episodes. The OP and ED is great though! Must watch!
Gundam SEED Destiny 2007-01-15 Genre: Action, Sci-Fi, Mecha, Romance

My Rating: 7.5/10

Wasn't the greatest of Animes. GSD was filled with too much flashbacks and recaps. Plot was only decent. But hey! That's what sequels are! Seldom to you see sequels surpassing its predecessors.

However, the coolness of the Gundams is still there. Freedom was 1337 as usual, especially when he was introduced. Then there's also Strike Freedom (IM A KIRA FAN).

Like GS, the OP and ED were great. A must listen would be Reason =]
Gunparade March - Arata Naru Ko Gunka 2007-01-15 Genre: Romance, Sci-Fi, Action, Mecha

My Rating: 7.5/10

Don't be fooled by the opening episode. GM is NOT a pure Mecha Anime. In fact, its mainly about the romantic relationship development between the two leads. Those machines/monsters thingy only serve to aid the development.

I must say that I was pleased with this series. Its another one of those Romance Animes that managed to 'touch' me. One thing I dislike, however, is the way the faces are drawn.

Decent, but not a must watch.
Gunslinger Girl 2007-01-15 Genre: Drama, Action, Sci-Fi

My Rating: 7.5/10

I did not particularly enjoy this series. I came to this series hoping for a nice plot, but I was left disappointed. This series focused alot on character development. Actual on second thoughts, its ALL about character development.

I actually liked Henrietta because she was pretty cute. Giuseppe also another cool guy.

Overall, this series was quite well done. But if you are a major fan of good plots (like me), then stay away from this.
Inuyasha 2007-01-15 Genre: Action, Fantasy, Romance, Adventure

My Rating: 6/10

Too long, loads of random fillers.

Boring and OVERRATED!!!
Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien 2007-01-15 Genre: Drama, Romance

My Rating: 9/10

I am in LOVE with KGNE! Its one of the best realistic romance Animes IMO.

The first episode was pretty decieving, making me wonder if it was those cliched school-life harem romance. But in episode 2, a twist occurs, and its when the plot starts.

KGNE portrays the dillemia faced by the leads, as well as their struggles between responsibility, friendship and love.

Excellent series with GREAT songs. Engaging and realistic, a must watch for all!
Midori no Hibi 2007-01-18 Genre: Comedy, Romance, Ecchi

My Rating: 7/10

I am not really a big fan about Midori no Hibi. The recent Comedy Animes that I have watched have not been that impressive so far, and so was Midori no Hibi. The jokes were not original or unique. You could say that they are cliched, making them not funny anymore.

Plot-wise, there isn't any actually. It's pretty much slice-of-life. The ending is not good too, too short and crappy imo.

Only watch if you like such genres. Otherwise, soso.
Naruto 2007-01-15 Genre: Action, Adventure, Comedy

My Rating: 6.5/10

An overrated series. I have to admit, Naruto WAS good. I enjoyed the starting alot. But as it went longer and longer and longer, the series lost its appeal. And when it reached the fillers part, I totally dropped the series. Its sad to see how a once-great-anime turn into a total piece of junk crap stories. This is what you get when you try to extend an Anime for too long. Sometimes its best to end a series when its at its peak.

BOO!
Onegai Teacher 2007-01-15 Genre: Romance, Comedy, Sci-Fi, Ecchi

My Rating: 7.5/10

Man, what does Mizuho see in that piece of gookshit-wimp Kei (don't ask me what's that). Yeah, I hate Kei, bash me.

Onegai Sensei is actually quite good. There is no real plot, just the development of the relationship between the leads. For some reason, I was actually 'touched' by the romance despite the cliche-ness. And then there's the uber cute Marie-san (KAWAII).

Not the greatest around, but still decent. Try it =]
Onegai Twins 2007-01-15 Genre: Romance, Comedy, Ecchi

My Rating: 7/10

Many said that Twins was better than Teacher, but I do not feel so. My only motivation to continue was the desire to know who's the twin.

One cool thing to note, is that it is one of the rare times whereby the male lead is not a useless person (KEI). He actually has a cool job! Several characters from Teacher made cameo appearances.

Thing that saved the Twins was Ichigo and Marie. Ichigo in particular, was the only reason why its funny =]
Scrapped Princess 2007-01-15 Genre: Drama, Fantasy, Action

My Rating: 8.5/10

EXCELLENT PLOT!

That's all I got to say =]

I did not really watch much of SP as it was shown on TV, so I missed several Episodes. But still liked it alot. I'm probably going to watch it again soon and then I will give a proper review =]
Shakugan no Shana 2007-01-15 Genre: Action, Fantasy, Romance, School

My Rating: 8/10

After Fate/Stay Night rekindled my interest in Anime, I desperately (yeah =/) sought for Titles that was similar to it. That's how I heard of SnS.

The 'I-hate-you-but-now-I-love-you' type of shows are an instant winner to me. SnS with the kawaii-ness of Shana (URUSAI!) did not disappoint me at all. Graphics was good (THE EYES), but the plot was, however, only decent. But a sequel is coming up, hopefully there would be closure.
Shaman King 2007-01-15 Genre: Action, Fantasy, Comedy

My Rating: 6.5/10

Decent plot, but alot of cliches. I'm not too much of a fan of SK. It is rather predictable, and somehow, I do not feel that its an Anime. It felt more like a kids cartoon to me. SK failed in its attempt to be funny at most times, due to its predictability.

However, I must say that I liked two characters, namely Hao and Anna. In fact, I believe many consider Hao to be their favourate character of SK.

Screw Yoh. Hao FTW!
Shingetsutan Tsukihime 2007-01-15 Genre: Vampire, Action, Romance, Fantasy

My Rating: 6/10

A 6 for a series which many said was better than Fate/Stay Night, which obtained an 8.5 from me. So what went wrong?

To be honest, Tsukihime just did not connect with me. The plot is not bad actually, its just the way it was told. As the story progressed, I found myself more and more confused. Characters were not likable too. I actually did not feel anything when *spoiler* Acruied died.

High chance that I'll rewatch though.
Third, The ~Aoi Hitomi no Shojo ~ 2007-01-15 Genre: Action, Sci-Fi, Mecha

My Rating: 7.5/10

I was looking forward to this series due to how similar it seems to Shakugan no Shana.

1. Shana & Honoka = Sword Girl
2. Alastor & Bogey = Guardian-like figure
3. Shana = Burning Eyes || Honoka = Azure Eyes
4. Yuji & Iks = Love Interest

See the similarity? Yeah, didn't come up with that. Saw it in an Anime-Blog.

I was expecting some romance in it. Unfortunately, there was hardly any. Nonetheless, it was a decent anime to watch.
Witch Hunter Robin 2007-01-15 Genre: Drama, Mystery, Action, Sci-Fi

My Rating: 8/10

WHR is another of those Animes which I enjoyed alot. Initially, WHR felt like those typical 'monster-of-the-episode' type. However as the series progresses, more of the plot is revealed, and Robin starts learning more about herself. That's when you start to see the development of Robin, as she struggles to come to terms with her existence. Unfortunately, it did not have any romance. But even without romance, its still great!
Zero no Tsukaima 2007-01-15 Genre: Romance, Action, Fantasy, Comedy

My Rating: 8/10

If you liked Shakugan no Shana, you will definitely like ZnT. The similarities are so obvious. Even the seiyuus are pretty much the same.

Although it lacks a strong plot, but Romance-Action combo just wins it for me. Louise was rather cute, and I liked her alot when she gets that angry look. And when she got *spoilers* affected by the love potion, her behavior was priceless.

Likable characters (the Maid too!), and its kawaii!
