| | For those who don't know the story: It is the year 2015, 15 years after the second impact which destroyed a substantial part of the earth. As described in the Black Sea rolls, the Angels come down on earth to take back what humanity took away. The Angels, in possession of an protective field, are invulnerable. Only the Eva robots developed by Nerv which also possess this field can combat them. The only problem is that the Eva's need to be piloted by specially selected 14 year old children. The story starts when the first Angel (it's actually the third) attacks and 14 year old Shinji Ikari prepares to go to Nerv, hoping he'll reunite with his father. Little does he know that he is destined to be the third child, piloting EVA-01 and that this is the only reason his father wants him.
