This is an amazing story because despite the extensive cast of characters, the plot moves very quickly, and each individual character is unique. Intelligence and wits are emphasized as well as courage, liberation, and self realization. The illustration of realistic human behavior can be a bit disturbing: seeing a dictator king fallen to a beggar, seeing the evil bad guys succeed, and seeing the heroine miscarriage
