 The Laughing Man slogan

What means :
I thought what I'd do was I'd pretend to be one of those deaf-mutes
In the long form.
(I just can't figure out the meaning of "I'd")

Who do you like it ?

That quote is meant to come from a novel, forget which one. It says which one in a recent issue of one certain anime magazine made in the US. I'll look it up and find who said it.

"i'd" simple means " I would do" Very Happy The quote comes from the novel the catcher in the rye. Sometimes the quote ends with "or should I?"

You use light color pens when you take notes in classes don't you? LOL I'm pretty sure you do. I can never read those light pink or blue color writings, and teachers hate them too.

Anyways, I think that slogan is pretty straight forward.

Color is fine.. Just keep in mind that light colors are killer for late night reading.. and also just a note, but dont make the font huge.. playing with color is fine, but constantly changing font size gets really old really fast.. ~_^

And welcome to the board if I havent said that already.. ^_^

i didn't understand this quote at all.
i forgot its context in Salinger's work... but in the anime, it doesnt seem to make much sense.

I thought they picked this book because of its infamous history in relation with assinations and conspiracys. The book was found on both the assasin of John Lennon, and the man who attempted to assasinate Ronald Reagan.

I also thought there was a part in the series where Togusa tried to explain the quote, but I can't quite remember what it was about.

i was acutally just speaking about the history of the book itself, not any specific passage. im sure its probably been discussed to death anyway here, but i still thought it would be a good point to bring up.

it appears that we got an answer either way, though.
