Hello, everyone Smile

. I'm a new member here. I think this thread is awesomely useful.

I remember having seen an anime when i was a child. Around 1985-87, and it was in arabic, so my guess is that the original anime beloned to the late 70s or early 80s.

It was about a little kid whose father is a famous boxer. in the first or second episode, His father has just finished a brutal match-not sure if he won- and takes his son out to eat, and dies while sitting on the chair. As a teen, this kid becomes a talent boxer. He'd go and climb up a pole, and try to improve his eye reaction by focusing on running trains.

The anime was beyon awesome. The problem is that in Arabic they dubbed everything,and flavored the characters with Arabic names, so it was impossible to try and try what thought the main character's name and find him.

It's not Hajim, or that other show about a 20s boxer , based on which a playstation game was released around 4 years ago. The anime i'm looking for is a teenager, who grows up and fights the man who last battled his father...Now that i remember all that, perhaps that boxer was the one who killed the kid's father.

Sorry i babbled alot. I really hope anyone has a clue of what i am talking about. If you need more info, i think I can remember certain episodes or events.

I remember another old anime. ''Tales from Andromeda'' was its title. The synopsis of the anime was about aliens sending some sort of arachnoids to earth and whoever was infected was transformed into a robot. the end was pessimistic showing the earth being destroyed by her leader who in the end transforms into a robot too (probably he was so from the beginning).

Is this movie in the data base and if so what is the Japanese title?

Well I remember seeing a AMV of this show a long time ago (genre is likely horror) where there is a crew of ppl aboard a ship and there is a ghost-like thing that starts to kill ppl aboard (and as I remember it, it has something with butterflies no its not boogiepop phantom)

im freakin happy that i found this website cause i desperately need help on finding this anime that i watched wen i was still living in VietNam ...i watched it in the 90s when i was little but im not sure about the actually year that it came out .

basically , the anime is about singing karaoke music stuffs . there this boy that doesnt sing really good but when he got this magically microfone from his father, his voice changed . whenever he use the microfone to sing , he changed into this tall, nice looking dude that sing extremely well . it likes that his singing can really touch pplz r something like that . he entered into singing contests and stuff , im not really sure but pplz feel good and all emotionally wenever they hear his songs . and by the way , all the songs in the anime are reallllllly good . i can still remember that fo sure .

it've been so long since i see this anime . that's why i want to watch it again if possible . i have no clue about the english title or japanese . but in vietnamese , they translated it to something similar like karaoke hero or karaoke warrior . it's something about KARAOKE .

Hopefully someone can help me identify this anime .

those legendary creatures r made into robots and fight with their owner.

those robots can talk i think. and the main character is a boy with black and white armour.

it should be around the time when Neon Genesis Evangelion

was on tv in singapore. maybe same channel. not so sure la. lol ...

Sorry guys..I need to look for an anime regarding the Chinese zodiac but I forget the title.
And it is neither Saint Seiya nor Fruit Basket,the anime is about the 12 zodiac animals going into the fairytales & trying to help those fairytales character,and there's an evil cat who's kinda in love with the tiger but think that he betrayed her. And there's a princess(or guardian) with purple hair similar to Princess Athena in Saint Seiya

I am new to the board. Hello everyone. I need help to identify this anime and preferrably some information on it. This anime aired around mid to late 80s.

The main character is around 10 years old. He is a prince of a country which everyone except him turns to stone one day. He found out a evil sorceress was beind it and he sets out to a journey to defeat this evil sorceress.

The prince's weapon is a short sword which can transform into a GIANT sword to deal a final blow to the enemy.

His mother is an angel while his father is a king. He has an aunt who is also an angel. The aunt lives in the "heaven" but will come down and help him every now and then. Since he is the son of an angel he has superhuman strength.

He meet a tiny dragon and they decide to travel together. The tiny dragon wants to find its own kind.

He meets a girl who is about the same age as his and they also travel together.

There is someone who looks like a dark knight and it seems he had a thing for the prince's mother and aunt. In one episode he enlist the help of a sculptor and try to make a statute of the prince's mother. After failed many times, the sculptor traveled to the heaven and met the aunt and finally able to make the statute that satisfy the dark knight.

When the anime is about to finish the dragon finally find its own kind and leave the group. Meanwhile the girl got poisoned by the enemy and the prince go and look for an antidote. After obtaining the antidote, he then realize that the antidote is a kind of poison which turn human into monster. The girl refuses to drink it and die in his arm.

I think there is a manga of this series as well but I am not too sure.
