Anime DvD covers..... ;) (WARNING: Large pictures) Ok. As most of you know we had a post about DvD covers in the Badlands , but it had to stop because it had copywriter material.…
Well… I will now start over here with a new thread… Post your own DvD covers
I since I have a lot of series that needs to be categorized, I will also need to make DvD covers, so I will try to post them here when I make them

Seeing both sides is much better eye candy =D. My favourite is still the "Last Exile" one. So, what do you do with the cds themselves? Is it just your handwritten title?
I guess I'll leave my photobucket link here onces again. I'm not proud of my dvd covers (darn you Doff!) But then I like the cd labels. I still have the psd format, if you would like some of them tweaked...I don't mind receiving messages.

explain to me why you felt the need to make another thread about this especially since the original thread isn't locked.
edit:
also, kiseki, those covers... were they made by you? if not you gotta remove em.
but if you did, wow.

Yeap...two thumbs up.
Well...this is my first try so it's not that good...I chiseled it before printing but since I don't own a digital camera I'm posting the image of it:
It came out pretty good after printing.

A question DOff
Why are the texts on the backs in Spanish? (or whatever language that is)

I have a question:How long do you usually spend on a DVD cover??
It takes me somewhat between 2-5 hours to finish one...It always takes longer than I think...the last one I completed in 4 h 30 min(the first took even longer and the second one about 3 hours).

but i edit them after i've downoaded them, but it's too difficult to change the text, then the cover will be totally f** up..
yes, i just around 2-5 hours too..
i think i used 3 hours on the saikano cover...

Jeez are this things time-demanding.I never imagined it took so long to make a cover. This one took 4 and a half hours:
I'm getting the hang of these..

Your covers are so good that I almost yoinked Kiskei's photobucket link.. ( I did that in the last thread Kiseki because I thought those were images that were actually the real deal not ones you made) I apologize for that.
And Doff I did yoink one of yours because of the copyright looked like by some japanese text.. I restored it though.. Sheesh .. LoL what a headache
Keep up the good work people.. I dont have DVD cases, but maybe someday I'll get some and use your covers

that looks really good CyBeR, I can see your progress going well. You have alot of eyecandy, but not much text...but I'm sure you don't care about that. About the text, there may be a button that makes the lines more crisp/smooth/strong....I use adobe so I dont' know if Nero does...
and Cadd that's so flattering, you don't have to apologize. Maybe in your eyes they look good, but I find they have some tweaking to do. I love my labels, but not the dvd covers...I can't make them professional looking like Doff...I'll have to work on them again...teh XD

Yeah...text ain't the most important thing to me mainly because it just comes out plain nasty...but all the series that I make covers for,I've seen so I don't really need the text...especially the first one. (I Love Slayers)

Just please people remember that if you contribute links they can NOT be the actual covers. They have to be made by fans for "artistic" purposes..
Also where do you guys buy your coverless cases? Is there a place to get good deals on these things?

I sell the covers here in my shop so I don't pay much for them
But as for where you can buy them I don’t know.... But I would guess the nearest place where you can buy PC equipment and CD-R’s...
Just ask them if they have. And I recommend to buy the normal covers that have room for two DvD’s. They have the same price as the ones that you have only one DvD in.
Here in Norway a cover like that will cost around 1euro.

i buy them for 1/3 euro....they're really cheap and it makes searching for some things fairly easy...
Ehh...I still need to get some black ink for my printer so I can get back to work.

Wow Kiseki.. Very cool work indeed..
After seeing these covers I have been thinking about prettying up my collection by going out and buying cases.. Crappy thing is that on some discs if have more than one series.. in some cases i might even have 4.. And desgning covers would be a lot of work.. I've got about 150 burned DVDs..
Sweet deal. Out of all the sites I've visited in the last 10 minutes looking for cheap cases this is the best deal
http://www.meritline.com/dvdcasblac25.html
200 DVD Cases standard size with media clips $28
This other one is pretty close coming in at $32 for 200
http://www.dvd-supply.com/bldvdmocasid.html is probably the best coming in at $47.99 but why you ask?
They have the pushbutton feature.. that locks the DVDs in place .. the others just had the thing where you snapped the dvd in place.. I know this might be picky.. but i'd pay the extra for 200 of the push button ones..
If anyone knows of a better deal let me know.. this is the best i've found..

Im still working with that cover ^^
But i think that's a very good deal cadd...
im also buying covers with those push buttons... but im buying 5 covers eatch time on a local store, so when i need more i buy more...
Here is it 4$ for 5 covers so... but it's norway ^^
And what paper are you going to use? ink and photo paper?
that will be expensive... ^^

I would recomand to yous Matt photopaper becouse they are thick and does not "brake" or loose colore so easy as normal paper, and they costs way less them glossy photo paper....

I really liked the way you made Applseed.... The front was a little stredged thou… But still it is nice
Prince of tennis was rally nice too. And ofcprse nice to see the “old” ones again.
But to be honest. I think that Elfen Lied was the best of them and Bakuretsu Tenshi comes on a second.
