A question about Full Moon o Sagashite manga **Please help**

Hi everybody!

I gotta say this was a wonderful anime. I know there have been some unflattering reviews of the manga but I'm very interested in reading it. I found someone on ebay selling 5 volumes of the manga but this doesn't seem like much for a 52 episode anime. Does anyone know how many volumes there are? If i read half of the manga and can't finish I will probably go insane...i can't stand that. If there are more than 5 volumes (Yoink) please drop me a line at SSJVejita1@yahoo.com. I extremely appriciate everyones input and help...Thank you!

PS I know its against the rules to post links to web pages with downloads and stuff like that which is why I left my e-mail...if this is against the rules I sincerely appologize and will check back for my chastising.

Welcome to the board.

No, it isnt against the rules to post your email address however there are bots that crawl through these forums and they will grab your email address and you will get spam.. Just a warning.

Posting your email isn't against the rules, but asking where to get copyrighted material is. If you want help obtaining anything like that you will have to use another forum.

I really appreciate the fact that you actually read the rules, but just were unsure, or maybe you thought that someone would get to it before a mod and you would get lucky.. Either way it is much better than just posting it without the PS you added.. For that you have my respect.

I'm sorry that I don't know how many volumes there are in the series.. Personally, the music made the anime.. I dont think the manga would be very good. Maybe if you watched the anime then read the manga..

Anyway, this series is unlicensed so there aren't any plans for it to be available in English unless you get some fan scans.. Which you are not allowed to discuss or post links to or ask for information on in this forum.

I don't know how many volumes are there altogether too. But the latest release in Thai language is at volume 5. I owned up to volume 4. I do not know if volume 5 is the ending or not as I am working outside Thailand and only make orders from manga shops once a month as overseas S/H is expensive. So it'd be next month that I will place the order in along with other approx 100+ books of other series. Then I can tell you that vol.5 is the last volume or not.

However, I know that Full Moon is very popular in Thailand at the moment, right up there with Pretty Face, Good Morning Call, Aishiteruze baby, and Kyokasho ni nai. (none of these have been licensed in English yet.)

The anime has tons of filler episodes. In the manga the story goes much quicker as there are no fillers. I'll just say this to make you get the picture...in the anime Mitsuki realized that Eichi has......in episode 40+. But in the manga, that event occurred in the end of volume 3. (I assume you have seen the anime right ? So you should now what event I'm talking about.)

I do not know when it will be translated in English as I never buy Viz released manga. They are much more expensive than the licensed one in Thai language which costs THB35.00 per volume (about US$0.90) So you should ask Viz when they will release it.

I'll help out.

A. No it's not licensed in America. I check everytime I run into any book store. I have YET to read the manga.

B. The files I have from (Yoink) a site that tends to keep full box sets on torrents appears to say 7 boox, 30 chapters total. I have yet to read it but this SHOULD be the full set.

C. I don't know about the lenght or how it translates to the screen BUT I have heard here and other places the manga is slightly better. The two characters who appear about episode 28 have more depth then on the anime. Again this is just what I have heard just to let you know.

You can't post the names or link to websites where you can d/l anime or other copyrighted material even if it isn't licensed - Caddberry

Hi again everybody

Thanks again for the replys. After a intensive search of the internet I was lucky enough to find direct downloads to the entire series on a web page that was shut down the next day! lol! I found the manga to be an awesome suppliment to the anime...since Full Moon is all about the characters the manga has to work that much harder to development them because it does not have the music to go with. If you put parts of the manga together with parts of the anime you get the perfect Full Moon experience imho. There are things in the manga that definately should have been included in the anime. (Yoink) Have a good one everyone Smile

Kinglink & SSJVejita1 -

You can not post links, request, name sites, etc where you can get copyrighted material. Both of you need to read the rules. This is a verbal warning the next one won't be.

Also, Vejita I think it's really cool that you wanted to help out others that is very nice of you, but still against the rules.

And both of you Welcome to the board.
