Sorry-- I know this is super-late posting, but for those who follow...

'bera' in conjunction with sticking out one's tongue is merely 'nya' in Japanese.

But when, in the first ep, Meroko says, "Bera bera bera bera..." she's saying, "Yack yack yack yack" as in, you talk too much. Wink
