Custom tagging Custom tags, good idea or not? Well my lovies we've been kicking around the idea of custom tagging.
tell us if you think its a good idea and if you could have a tag, what would that tag be?
nothing obscene or non-pg13.
here is one of my own ideas:
[MASTER OF POCKY]
post your suggestions here!

I love my [<3 funnygirl] tag. She was very happy with it ^_^
It's a great way to show my love for her.
The alternative was [Banned]. It fits me and kawaikunai had the 9-in-circle so we could continue the april fools tags.
It's a nice addition and I hope that we're gonna get something for 18k so I have something to aim for again, other than "Gotta rate 'em all".

I would say yes, yes it is a nice idea. Seeing how ppl still are clearly rating after reaching 6000 rates and getting their ultimate vip tag, this really is a great idea to reward thouse who are still proceeding to rate.
Now all I have to do is think of a tag I could use.
Gonna be hard.

The only dynamic criticisms I can imagine, really, is that new users won't have any idea who the administrators or moderators are since currently, just about everyone in a managerial role has one. Short of asking why a select few have tags beside their names in red or green, of course. But then, new users would eventually ask about it, won't they?
But don't let me spoil you guys' fun. =P
While we're on the subject of tagging, I dunno if or how AnimeNfo keeps track of donators, but you could include one for individuals who have made significant contributions to the service. [Donator] would be the obvious look, color-coded based on his/her current rank if applicable -- but I'll leave the specific dollar amount to the staff.

It can be easily added into the FAQ.

Sounds like a cool idea to me. Though, I would like to add this: The amount you have donated should not matter, if one has donated in my opinion he or she should get the donator tag even if it was "only" lets say, 1$

yeah i was thinking today that it might be bad for admins or staff but to be honest one look at the logged in users or the newspage and you can see that theres like 50 of 4 colours and only 3 of red which in most analytical minds reads that, hey they must be special
