What anime/Where is your avatar/sig from? To start off with, my avatar is the Medicine-seller/Kyuusuri-uri from the anime Mononoke. I was obsessed with that anime right around the time I joined here.
My sig is from 07-Ghost. It is of Burupya/Mikage, one of the cutest little things EVER!
_________
P.S. Post on this topic about updates of your avatar/sig too!

My avatar is a pic of my kid from when he was 2. It doesn't take a big stretch of the imagination to figure out what he looks like now, or what I looked like back when I was his age. We practically look alike.
My sig is a pic of Triela from Gunslinger Girl. I like her a lot. And she strongly reminds me of Sakuya from Sister Princess too. I got Amaryllis to make that sig for me. Looks really nice.

Ken's been here so long and he's never changed either his sig or avie. Except for that time during the Sakuraba Aoi appreciation week or something. You remember that one Ken?
My avie's never been changed either. Sakuraba Aoi, but I think everyone already knows that. My sig's not worth rementioning...

Oh yeah. Certainly. That was not long after I watched AYA. Some years ago already. I also remember I once used Marie the alien (from Onegai Sensei) as my avatar because he reminded me of my kid. In the end I simply just used a pic of him instead.
I think in a way I'm just lazy. Why should I change anything if I'm perfectly happy with it. I'm proud of my kid. I love him to bits. I'd want to use a pic of him forever.

If it's Saya from Blood+, that sure don't look like her.

I think of my avie as the avie. It's what I use to identify myself. People look at the avie and they know it's me. That's why I never change the avie.

My avatar and signature is both Ciel from Tsukihime/Melty Blood, although the avatar itself is a picture of Ciel before she went to The Burial Agency. This also explains the vastly different clothes and the longer hair.

My avatar is a picture of a Japanese artist named Rie fu - it's the album cover to her 2nd album "Rose" I have a quote from her in my sig as well.
My signature is from a series called Shounen Onmyouji, which by the stroke of luck I discovered and loved after I watched it. I didn't hear very many people talk about it around the time of its release - it was only after that I heard people say good things about it. After I watched it, I knew I had to make a sig for it - especially since I loved this particular picture of the characters.
Characters pictured are Masahiro (the boy in the kimono) and Mokkun (the little Pokemon looking creature XD). I actually love Masahiro's character as far as a coming of age character goes, and his chemistry with Mokkun is quite amusing.
I've been thinking about changing up my ava/sig for a while now, but I have to do the design for a few I'm working on before I change it. I might post another contribution to this thread if I do end up changing it.

Avatar is a chibi version of the eternally delectable feminine wonder of the universe - C.C. - holding a Cheese-kun.
Sig is a shot from the ED of Kimi ni Todoke, featuring the most adorable and innocent heroine ever, Sawako.

My Avatar is Yoko Nakajima from The Twelve Kingdoms.
My signature is the first sentence from the text (or one of the translations of that text) in one of Makoto Shinkai's first animated shorts: Other Worlds.
Here's the translation of all of the text in the short:
Do you want to fly through the sky?
Is it that painful?
Do you want to go together?
But, there's something that I can't accept...
That someday...
you'll find your true other half.
Please stay by my side forever.

My avatar is not from an anime - I made it myself to go with my username, though it was so long ago, I'm not sure what program I used to make it. I haven't bothered making a signature yet.

VN Saya. The game's called Saya no Uta. I can recommend it with... reservations, I should say. It's stellar, but also quite depraved.

Saya no Uta is a real mindf***. While I was reading the story in it I had this weird uncomfortable feeling, but I still had to continue reading. It was weird, but I don't regret it.
My sig is Len from Kagetsu Tohya, the sequel/spinoff to Tsukihime. Appears also in the Melty Blood games.

The storytelling is breathtaking, but it's also really, really insane. What I found fascinating is how multileveled the horror is. On the one hand you have the "gory" horror involving the dude's perspective on the world, and on the other hand you have the creepy, psychological horror mostly centering around Saya and the general style of the narrative. Between all of that are entirely normal chapter told by the other people. For me SnU was a very memorable experience, and I found the game truly recommendable, but it's probably only fit for a rather limited audience.
The scene when
Quote: Fuminori comes home and sees Saya on the floor of their grass-covered living room eating fruits, sitting down beside her and trying out her food as well (finding it delicious) was probably the creepiest moment I've ever encountered in fiction.

My avatar is a shot of CC from a spin-off manga where all the main characters of Code Geass R2 (since Rolo is in it) are in kindergarten except for Euphemia who is their teacher.
Haven't really thought of making a sig since the only imaging tool i have access to is paint.

I believe you've told me of Saya no Uta before. It sounds... interesting. Not my cup of tea. I'll stick with diabetes-inducing stuff like Sister Princess.

It's the ending seuqence. Where they have fun being different colours, different flowers and LOTS of bubbles. Because shoujo must have bubbles!

I don't think you're the only one who thought that, but Rie Fu's hasn't been the only ava I've had, just one I've had up here a while and I think that might have been a part of it. Most of my other avatars were anime related in the past - but that might have been before you joined here.

I've noticed something very weird about your sigs btw. I've been to these forums over the course of a couple of days and found your sig changed pretty much each time. If it's not Aoi in one pose, and then Aoi in another, it's that highly suggestive beach girls one or something else.

Honestly, how the heck do you get your sig to change each time? Is it preprogrammed to randomly load a different pic each time you post? *scratches head*

As it says in my sig, it's called an "image randomiser". http://www.random-image.net
You go there and create a randomiser, which in turn links to a images hosted on another site. In effect, when you refresh your screen, you send a query to random-image, which picks a link from a list I gave it, and queries that link which returns an image. Depending on your internet connection, you may notice a delay in the image being uploaded.
Cool huh?

@Ken: I remember your sig being of Sakuya for a while. I think just before this one.
My avatar is an MS-PAINT self-portrait. It's a bit out of date now though, since my hair is now down past my shoulder blades. There's more grey in the beard, too...
My sig is based off of Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu featuring Nagato Yuki and her way of solving problems. I suppose that it also has a couple of frames featuring Saber from Fate/Stay Night as well, but...
I've been thinking that I ought to change it, but I haven't decided on what I'd change it for. I can't really think of a character that I particularly identify with.

After the Aoi-chan siggy and before this one. I use that one for quite a while. And the only reason why I changed to the Triela sig was because she reminded me of Sakuya.
