Hello AnimeNfo! User_ID's introduction! User_ID's introduction topic! * How did you discover AnimeNfo?
I had visited AnimeNfo many times before I decided to register an account for the forum. The times I recalled visiting AnimeNfo in the past, for whatever reason, I never felt as if there was a lack of information provided in my queries posed to this site - or any particular aspect of the site that could be improved upon. I registered an account on the forum here because I really don't have time for pre-pubescent nonsense / bullshnaekis when it comes to Anime. I am a well seasoned American-born 'Otaku', or whatever you'd like to call it - and every other Anime forum I glanced at seemed to be filled with meaningless garbage.
* What are your favorite Anime and/or Manga?
I have to say that my favorite mangas are composed primarily of the many works of Rumiko Takahashi. Since her works were translated early on in the USA through VIZ media - I found myself drawn into this particular subculture through Her. I'm not ashamed to say it - I love Rumic Theatre, Maison Ikkoku, LUM, Ranma 1/2, Mermaid's scar, and so on. Thankfully, since the mid-90's, manga and anime has become drastically less pricey. I have not been fortunate enough to be close to comic shops that import good manga, but I am a big fan of Sennin / Mature mangas like Homunculus. Psychological themes appeal to me a bit more now. I love the anime MONSTER. At the same time I find myself partial to Naruto Shippuuden. Insane right? I didn't even watch the pre-shippuuden stuff. I'm not going to list everything here, but with the exception of Naruto - I dig everything that the kids don't.
* What are your hobbies?
Lots. My love of Anime has gained serious momentum in the past 10 years due to the fact that American Television & American animation (haha) really leaves me feeling... ugh.. I dunno ... unfulfilled. I've pursued many hobbies, any you can imagine - except glassblowing. Anime is a hobby of mine (if you can cal it that) currently, I hate bad fan-subs and I love being on the front lines of the most recent Animes to hit Japan. Semi-concurrent exposure to the newest things to hit the Far East is a hobby of mine, in other words. I'd love to take in any advice that might be given to an amateur voice actor!
Longwinded, nothing close to sober - these are the things my posts will reflect. I won't waste anyone's time with simple things that can be resolved with the use of the search feature. I know how to behave on a forum, I'm no stranger to it. I expect great things from this forum. I hope I don't fall short of it's expectations, as well.
Congratulations - you have reached the end.

Hi and welcome. Interesting user name you have there.
How old are you? You sound like a seasoned veteran. Late 20s I guess?

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone!
And yes, I am in my 20's.
Glad to finally be a part of these forums!
Using the same alias on the internet is so boring. User_ID just seemed to call out to me. Glad it wasn't in use!
Now I just have to make time to jazz up my avatar and sig... bear with me people!

Don't bother with ur avatar. Those bar code lines are the most original ever. Awesome idea of using that!

I know, I know, I'm completely late. But welcome to the forums, User_ID, and very nice intro. Rumiko Takahashi huh? I actually like quite a bit of her work too (Another lover of Mermaid's Scar, whoo!). And thumbs up on loving Monster as well.
I hope you enjoy it here and that we see you around more often.
