Best Anime Soundtrack? Best Soundtrack included in an Anime I love music, and I'm looking to experiment more from music in every possible way, a good example is anime, there have been lately very good results using new music genres into anime sequences that have been a great success, a few examples are: Samurai Champloo, Cowboy Bebop, Ghost in The Shell, Gungrave. And well suppose there a few more worth checking, that's why I made this topic.
What is your favorite Anime Soundtrack? Try think specially about the ones that really unite visual art and music as one.

I really like the "Get Backers" Sound tracks. 2 of them. They really went well with the anime itself.

I always liked anything Yuki Kaijura or Yoko Kanno related. The .hack//sign soundtracks especially regarding Yuki Kaijura. I always liked Emily Bindinger's vocals ("A Stray Child", "Aura"; "Fake Wings"; and especially "Key of the Twilight").
I've liked almost all of the soundtracks associated with Yoko Kanno as well. Cowboy Bebop, Sousei no Aquarion, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, etc.

My favorite anime OSTS are as rose mentioned Yoko Kanno though I have heard only Cowboy Bebop and GITS for that matter.I also liked The Pillows OST of FLCL and Mushishi OSTS.Even Suneohair's music in Honey and Clover especially Spitz is very nice.

You mentioned quite a few of my favorites: Definitely agree with DN Angel, Eureka Seven (still haven't finished the series though >.<), Rurouni Kenshin, and Rahxephon. I liked S-cry-ed too, but probably more on a song by song basis.

I love some of the songs from the Cowboy Bebop soundtrack, though not all of them. So I can't say the CB soundtrack is my absolute favourite. I kinda prefer to judge each song individually, and I like various music styles so it's also kinda hard to say I generally like this or that particular song.

me too, I liked the 1st OST especially
Actually I've been a fan of Taku Iwasaki's music ever since the exceptionally beautiful music from the Kenshin OAVs, his work for Yakitate Japan and Read or Die are also great
Also, the Bakumatsu Kikansetsu Irohanihoheto soundtrack is one of the best from last year
Then works from Ryo Kunohiko, 12 Kingdoms, Saiunkoku Monogatari and Victorian Romance Emma are really nice
Then, the more traditional sort like Inuyasha and Samurai Seven
As for Yuki Kajiura's works, I loved her Tsubasa Chronicles the most

That's my favorite song from Ilaria Graziano. One of my favorites from the 2nd Gig OST as well.

I find the works of kenji Kawai to be quite good. Barring the opening of FSN (which was kinda iffy), most of his works are great. Of late, I have really enjoyed are the insert songs of KOR and Touch. The songs like Che! Che! Che! are very catchy.
As for BGMs, Gankutsuou and Witch Hunter Robin had some great stuff. And while we're at it, lets include Mushishi and Cowboy Bebop as well.

Best Anime Soundtrack. Mine are actually three. Naruto and Shingetsutan Tsukihime OST(Especially) aand well...actually I haven't listen to Kaze no Stigma's OST but the Opening theme and the two closing ones are awesome. Hitoriki no Sora cought my attention at the moment I heard it for the first time. But the first two are the ONLY ones who've ever been able to bring me to tears or make me forget about my worries.

Below are some of the best OSTs from the anime that i've watched:
1. Realize (Gundam Seed)
2. Michi to you all (Naruto Shippuden)
3. Kimi saireba (Chuuka Ichiban)
4. Arashi no nakade (Gundam 8th MS Team)
5. Colors (Code Geass)
6. Heat (Shin Gettar Robo: The end of the world)
7. Flying in the sky (G Gundam)
8. Get over (Hikaru no Go)
9. Top o nerae (Gunbuster) - i believe that is the name of the song, the one that kicks in during the final battle.
10. W-infinity (Gear fighter dendoh)
11. Houi Kumo (Yakitate Japan)
12. Gaiking (Legend of Daiku Maryu)
Yea basically those, if i have time i'll add some BGMs that i reckon are good. I actually would like to add 2 more but it is not anime - Kaman Rider Black and Long Long Ago 20th Century (both from Kamen Rider Black)

I haven't posted in this topic before? Weird. Maybe it was in a thread with a similar name? Or another site altogether... Whatever.
In terms of overall soundtrack, my favourites are from Yuki Kajiura. More specifically, the OST of the .Hack and Tsubasa Chronicles anime. However, of the latter, I must say that Soundscape I was fantastic, II was good, but III and IV I could've done without.
Other than these, I also enjoy the soundtrack of Ai Yori Aoshi and Fate/Stay Night.

Saiunkoku monogatari.. that opening song is still stuck in my head... La corda d'oro - brand new breeze by Kanon. I liked the fate stay night, hack sign songs too. Oh and tsubasa chronicles. ^^ And Sola soundtrack as well
And theres another song i don't remember which anime it belongs to.. but it's still stuck in my head too. >< I'll post that up too later when I remember it... hopefully. ^^

I love the entire Gundam 00 OP and Endings. They used rock for the OPs, which was a really nice change from the pop in Gundam Seed/GSD.

L'arc~en~Ciel and the Brilliant Green are awesome, as are the (respective) openings for Gundam 00. I love them both, but I still can't seem to get "Daybreak's Bell" out of my head
But no, not all of the songs for GS/GSD were pop, at least not GSD, "Pride" (the second OP) for GSD I wouldn't consider pop (then again, depends on what you classify High and Mighty Color songs, I tend to think of them as distinctly J-rock).

Same! I still can't get Daybreak's Bell out of my head. Though when I first listened to the songs, I was like :"Pretty mediocre". Now, I'm like addicted
I would personally classify the songs for GS/GSD pop and techno. Though that's just what I think. "Invoke" and "Ignited" were so techno-ish with their song intros.
