My faves are ed, winery and roy.Ed because I love his short temper and how small he is also he's the cutest guy. Winery I don't really know why. Roy cause he's kinda funny sometimes and I also like it when he uses he fire attacks it's cool when he snaps he fingers.

For some reason I have a feeling of deja vu when I say I've answered this question before, but it must have been in a favorite character or other thread of sorts.

Namely Hughes, Ed and Al are my favorite characters from FMA. And to add, my favorite female characters in FMA are Rose and Riza. Smile

Hughes takes my favorite because he's a great family man, and a hilarious one at that. I can't remember how many times I laughed when he'd comment and gloat about his beautiful wife and daughter.

i haven't watched the OVA but i have seen the spoilers

my fav are:
hughes because he keeps himself cool even he is facing alot of problems
mustang because of his cool ability to set anything into flames with a snap of his fingers
ed because of his automail arm and automail legs which are indeed the best automail in the story
al becuase he shows the really meaning of brotherhood

My favorite character would have to be Ed Very Happy

I always liked how he and Al looked out for each other, I thought it was sweet Smile

And I really liked how he would do anything to protect Al. I also kinda like the angsty characters Razz

They seem more real to me Smile

Another character I really liked was Hughes. Rose put what I wanted to say really well so I'm not gonna say it again Smile

Yeah sadly I don't get that channel in Ohio, but I recently noticed that on Adult Swim they are running through the series again. They had shown the last episode last month some time I think.

Well, now that I have read the manga (till chapter 70) I can safely re-enter this! Very Happy

My favourite character from the manga would be Mustang. The way the guy works is just too good. He takes up a decision and works it out with panache that it leaves Ed and everyone satisfied. All the protagonists are left feeling happy, and the bad guys hate his guts like hell.

My next favourite character would be a tie between Winry and Hawkeye. Hawkeye is the perfect counterpart for Mustang. Don't care how the story works out - but in my eyes I think they're made for each other. As a bonus she's hot! Very Happy

Same goes Winry, she can shut Ed up no matter how worked up he is, another hand in glove type of relationship.

Btw, did anyone find Winry to be much more developed (and cuter) in the manga wrt to the anime?

My favorite character is Ed; even thought he's easy to anger he always has a plan even if it doesn't seem like it. Ed can always find a way out of a messy situation.

Ed for sure. He's one of very few male characters in anime that I have truly liked. He's a good mix of youthful energy, passion, empathy, naivete and most of all his bond with Al. Romi Paku as his voice. That's just pure win right there.
